I am never one who says how bad ads are yearly. I think moving it to Thursday, coupled w more online focus has officially killed Black Friday. These ads aren't even trying anymore! Even when I don't need anything, I'll find a way to go and spend money. Nothing I see is even worthy of a 30 minute line. Walmart even killed their guaranteed items, which were awesome! And I notice the boards seem dead too. It makes me sad. I used to treat ad leaks and the community as it's own season and it all feels so abandoned now.

I'm not finding anything listed at BF price.

Just got the $35 sonic are toothbrush and they had an online only $5 off coupon for it so cheaper than the store on BF!

I ordered last night and could have picked the items up today but figured I'd steer clear and go mid day tomorrow. We shall see if it's as chaotic.

Now that I'm wide awake I went and ordered 10 bath towels that are the $4.99 well rated ones and paid $3.36 a piece! And one hand towel so the total was over $50 And I did my two separately so no kohls cash for me but I was so afraid the $10 off would stop working so I did the first one quick lol. I always forget to use the kohls cash anyways

Ok, I NEVER say this but this ad sucks! I hit Walmart first every year and this year for the first time in all my BF years, target will be my first store. I am shocked by this ad.

I feel that Black Friday toys are older or more "generic" than the toy books.

I agree w everyone- best was the crisp air at 4am and going out then hitting breakfast after! My worst was one year, walking into walmart(24 hr) 4 hours before the BF sale and everyone's carts were filled to the brims and the place was wiped out!

I am waiting for barbie clearance to go further than 30% Daughters bday is next month and all she wants are barbies because I mistakenly told her at 4 that she was too young for barbies and she'd be ready at 5...lol little did I know she'd still tear dolls apart at almost 5! I bought some last Xmas and have had them tucked away all this time.

They are trying to be sneaky, imo. I think a lot of those numbers are from online sales but they want to show they were right in opening early. There is NO way the in store sales were better! Usually on BF at Walmart, 25 minutes into the sale you can't find a door buster anywhere- we went yesterday around 2pm and there were cheap pjs, socks, Rubbermaid, crockpots...there's no way their store numbers were better!

A lot of people wanted that cheap 50" at target this year. That's probably why.

It was so much quieter tonight! I could actually walk through Walmart with a shopping cart and that's normally impossible! We checked out by 7. Then went to TRU which was already opened 2.5 hours and we got the door busters we wanted. Likewise with target. I'm not complaining!!

Wristbands worked really well. We got there at 4. We were about 20th in line. They have out wristbands around 4:20. We leisurely checked out all the other deals and at 6 got everything we wanted. They had two lines by the ipad minis at 6. One for wristbands and one for people getting the card. We were out of the store by 7. Because we were out of the way, people were free to literally walk up and get a card for the mini
