Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

I probably shouldn't be this excited about the Shutterfly things but I just did my first one and now I can't wait to get it! I'll be making more in the next few days. I just wanted to share. :) -

There were a few different colors when I saw them. I'm not 100% sure which ones are on clearance. This is the information for the red one. ASIN: B0009I723G DPCI: 072-07-0316 -

My experiences have been if the cashier doesn't catch it then they will take it. If they do catch it then they won't. I just play dumb if they say, "This is expired". I just respond by saying, "I didn't realize it. Thank you for letting me know.". -

I believe Targets are get ready for inventory so it may be status quo for awhile. *sigh* But my wallet could use a rest as well. Between the Christmas and Toys clearance and Target (not to mention the Amazon toy sale before Christmas), Christmas shopping and moving last month, I feel like all I've done is spend money. I almost feel like I'm tired of spending money. Ohhh, I may be ill. lol Seriously, I should probably be good at least until I finish unpacking and see what I may need. Then watch out. :) -

I need to find one of the Dirt Devil broom vacs. I have ceramic tile in a good part of my house and it takes forever to sweep it the old fashioned way. It's time to buy one. I am going to have to venture to other Targets this weekend because the one near me still had them at regular price. -

When I was in Target tonight, I was looking at the summer stuff. There was a spot for a LT table (with umbrella) that showed the price to be $12.48. Obviously this wasn't right. lol Unfortunately, my store didn't have any in stock. I just wanted to give you all a heads up that maybe your store have these mismarked too. If you find one, that will be one heck of a find. Good luck!! -

If there is something that I REALLY want, I will buy it when I see it, even if it's 30% off. Then if I am fortunate enough to find it for a lesser price (say 50% or HOPEFULLY 75% off), I will repurchase it and return the original one. I've lost out too many times on items I really wanted and decided to wait and see if Target would go lower and still have the item in stock....like the wagon and the playhouse. Both of them were very good deals even at 50% off (heck, even at 30% off for that matter). -

I think I'm going to peruse Target at lunch today. I found a sweater for me on clearance (50% off) last week and really liked it. Now I'm going to go back for more in different colors. Of course, I will have to scour the entire store. lol -

It's easy to get hooked on looking for Target deals. I have been doing it for years and still love the hunt and the finds. lol I would take back the one bought at $16.98 and show where they gave you the other one for $9.00 and ask them to adjust the price. If they won't then return it. -
If I were you, I would contact Amazon CS one more time. This time call. And I would just explain the situation to them. I would just let them know everything you have chronicled in your initial posts here. And if the CSR can't help you then politely ask to speak to a supervisor. I have heard of other companies charging outlandish restocking fees. One time I went into Joann to return this little packet of beads I had bought and ended up not needed. It was maybe a $4 item. I couldn't locate the receipt so they told me, we will give you 50% of the SALE price (which was something like $1.99). So they wanted to give me $1 for an item that I paid $4. I said no thank you and asked to talk to a manager. I got my $4. :) Good luck to you.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been checking but almost feel like it's in vain. But I know you just never know what you will find in Target on clearance. -
Whatever diapers you choose to use, sign up on their website and you will receive coupons. Those definitely help.

I missed out on the wagon too. I should've just sucked it up and bought it when it was over $40.00. That still would've been a good deal. Even at that price, I think I only saw 2 of them in all of the Targets I was visiting during that timeframe. -
How many toys could there be that are defective? Are you sure that these "improperly working toys" came from Amazon? I literally spent HUNDREDS of dollars (as most of us did) on Amazon during the toy sales right before Christmas and had one return. I contacted Amazon and told them about it and it was no problem whatsoever. They shipped the replacement item even before I returned the defective one. I don't know of any merchant who does not have a return policy that limits the amount of days something can be returned. We still have unopened toys over here (they got packed up shortly after Christmas due to our move). I knew there was a risk with not opening them sooner. That's the chance I took. I have to admit that I am a total Amazon junkie. One of the reasons being is I find their customer service team some of the best with whom to deal.

Ohhh, I may have to go look at Wal-Mart. Thanks for the info.

There was a thing that came out years ago about the hazards of boiling water in the microwave. Apparently, there can be 'hot spots' which can serverely burn someone. I thought this was a good buy for $2.99...never gave much thought to what others may do. I figured if someone wanted it, great. If not, then that's great too.

The Target at I-19/Irvington in Tucson still has some Shutterfly stuff. There's not a lot but still a semi-decent selection. HTH someone. I found my first MM Juice 10 pack (fruit punch) for $0.69. I was so excited. lol It was the only one I found but it made me optimistic that I may find more in the future. :) I played it cool and didn't do a happy dance right in the store! I didn't want to give away my secret and have any additional competition. :) -
