  1. After yesterday I feel as if it's 'GAME ON' with the markdown team. lol Seriously, I will make it a point of looking through the markdown carts from now on. I may just buy stuff to mess with them. I wanted to tell her, "How do you know that I am not a mystery shopper and you could get in trouble for doing what you just did?" The Disney Store (I moonlighted there for about a year.) used to get shopped on a regular basis. We prided ourselves in always getting a '101'.
  2. For me, I don't have a problem with employees getting clearance items. But what I DO have a problem with is shopping while they are supposed to be working and also lying to a customer (as in my case yesterday). Additionally, they should have to wait until the item is marked down and they are off the clock before they are allowed to put it in a cart, purchase it, etc. Afterall, Target WILL NOT hold a clearance item for a customer, it should be the same for an employee.
  3. That's cool. The Kone's didn't go on clearance here.
  4. Oh, I think we may trek out there tonight. Thanks for letting me know. :)
  5. Which Target did you go to where you found such great deals??
  6. The one on Irvington/I-19. I used to live near the one on Harrison/Old Spanish Trail. That one and the one on Tanque Verde were my favorite ones to go to when I lived on the eastside.
  7. LOL...I kept telling myself that they are ONLY pots and pans but I do love them. Even at twice the price, they are SO worth it.
  8. I haven't plugged in my Kurv yet but know I will love it. I have an OLD wet/dry Dustbuster that was horrible. :yuck:
  9. After wanting to , I bought the two items. It was one of the tabletop easels and a sand in the bottle kit thing. She should've been nicer about it because her kiddos would be enjoying them tonight instead of my daughter and my Goddaughter.
  10. I thought about getting the names as I was walking out of the store. I had my daughter with me and she was a little on the grumpy side today so I got a little preoccupied and forgot about it. However, I'll be able to describe them. This Target has never been my favorite one in Tucson. I've recently moved across town and LOVED the Targets that I used to live near. Now I drive across town to go visit them when I want to do serious PP. This Target is good for a 'quick fix'. lol I have a Dr. appt in the AM tomorrow (doctor is also across town from where I moved) so I took extra time off from work to make sure I have time to hit my favorite Targets. I know, I'm addicted!
  11. What burned me more than anything is that I KNEW they were lying and one was covering for the other. I saw the looks and the glances they exchanged. I would describe it like they were giving each other the look like, "Oh man, that was mine, what do I do?" or something to that effect.
  12. I haven't seen the Kone on clearance; just the Kurv. Congrats on your find. :)
  13. Funny you should bring up the tabletop easel for $3.74. I stopped at Target this AM before going back to work after an AM appointment. I found a few various things for 75% off (including CW Color Sprayers...woohoo). Anyway, I was walking by the markdown team and there were a few items that were in one of the ladies carts. I said oh, are these items (one being the easel) 75% off as well? She goes NO, these are already salvaged and weren't in the system. Then she goes ALL of the items in this cart are salvaged items. I knew this wasn't right. Then I ask here can't I purchase them anyway? She said NO. I said I would like to ask a manager and she goes well she's (pointing to the other lady) my boss. I said no, I want to talk to a store manager. I picked up the items and said, I'll take them to customer service and see what the manager says and if the answer is no, I'll bring them back. She said NO, I'll go talk to the manager. By now, I knew something wasn't right. I mean, I am a veteran Target shopper. I said to the other lady (the supposed supervisor) look, these have tags on them so this should help them figure out how much they are. She said that it didn't matter because they wouldn't scan. I said well let me go see and I'll take it from there. She tried to have me leave them in the other ladies cart. I had already figured the markdown girl had put them aside for herself and just didn't want a customer to buy them. I put them in my cart and walked away. I go to the closet scanner I could find and low and behold, they scanned the same price as what was on the ticket!! I was annoyed by now. I would've had more respect for her to say, you know I've put these away for me to purchase than feeding me the lines of bull and trying to pull one over on me. I can't decide if I want to call the store and bring this to their attention.
  14. I have to say that I love my Broom Vac. Granted, it has some weight to it but it actually does work. I push it like a vacuum rather than pull it toward me like a traditional broom. I have a lower back problem and sweeping KILLS me. This does not bother my back at all. I also have kitties and a dog (and a kid of course) and it is nice to take this out and clean up a mess quickly. Personally, I think it's worth the price.
  15. Here is the Broom Vac http://www.target.com/Dirt-Devil-Broom-Vac-MBV2030SEA/dp/B0013RHE62/sr=1-1/qid=1204748960/ref=sr_1_1/602-7359434-8337408?ie=UTF8&index=target&field-browse=1038576&rh=k%3Adirt%20devil%20broom%20vac&page=1 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41aAElJvSkL._SS384_.jpg And here is the Kurv http://www.target.com/Dirt-Devil-Kurv-Hand-Vac/dp/B000U6FUQ8/sr=1-2/qid=1204749178/ref=sr_1_2/602-7359434-8337408?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k%3Adirt%20devil%20kurv&page=1 http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/313TGwPJVvL._SS260_.jpg HTH
  16. At least you can find some consolation in telling him he screwed up. I didn't want to be a naysayer but my friends recently went a week without hot water because of the problems with the WH and waiting for the parts from Whirlpool. That would be hard on anyone. Maybe call Lowe's to see if they will return it. Couldn't hurt to ask. If nothing else, you can let him live with his purchase and remind him for years to come.
  17. If you haven't installed it, you may want to rethink this purchase. My friend has a Whirlpool WH she bought for her house. There was a recall on it, Lowe's won't stand by it since it's over a year old and there is another problem yet to be resolved. Of course I don't know if it's the exact same model but it was a Whirlpool from Lowe's in that price range. After hearing her wows, I would be very hesitant with any Whirlpool WH. I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but better to find out now than later.
  18. I've bought a few items from them and they have arrived, been OK, etc. I know there have been others who have complained about not receiving other items or having problems. Have you tried calling or emailing their customer service number and asking them what the status is of your order?
  19. Ohh, I'm going to have to go look for Color Wonder stuff when I get off of work. Who knows if I'll find anything but couldn't hurt to look. I need to pick up 101 Dalmations and the new Winnie the Pooh movie anyway.
  20. I had put the Princess Set in my shopping bag, looked at the other clearance items and by the time I was going to check out, the Princess Sets were no longer available. Amazing!
  21. I've been waiting for the Princess set to be reduced. Thanks for the post.
  22. Check either Buy.com or Amazon. I've always gotten great deals on stuff like this on Amazon. (OK, I get great deals on everything at Amazon...lol)
  23. Seller A is paying seller's fees on $2 whereas Seller B is paying seller's fees on $18. That is a huge difference and Seller A is taking advantage of Ebay and the buyer. It may not be 'illegal' in the Ebay world but to me that is very unethical. It's a circumvention of the fees charged by Ebay.
