  1. Ebay. I watched them all on Netflix right before they pulled them. Luckily Dish has a half price promotion right now, and Showtime has a 25.00 rebate, so I can get it for 4 months for 25.00 and get the 25.00 back and watch this years season and then turn Showtime off. Amazon and ebay are the only places I know of. I record them on dvd as I watch them.
  2. I had that problem last year. North Face only allows dealers to put them on sale twice a year and not at xmas. If a store runs an all item sale percent off, you can sometimes get around it. Also, be careful, most online stores are pirated knockoffs. I finally ordered a Denali jacket from Sunny sports which is an Authorized dealer. After calling them and talking to them. I learned it's best to call them and ask if there is an in house price. They sold me the 160.00 jacket for 90.00 with free shipping. Cheaper than on their online store.
  3. I dont think the tree farms here have suffered. They have been getting ready to start cutting. All along the river here are tons of tree farms. Place we usually go, a single mom runs it. The roots are deep enough on pines to not hurt the trees, and they dont have leaves to drop. They dye them also.
  4. It's difficult. We don't make a lot of money. Im a stay at home mom and my husband works construction. We aren't rich. I have a christmas club. I just try to buy all year long and put money in that christmas club every week. I'm crocheting baby hats right now to pay for sons class ring, but I won't let my kids be disappointed. I now have 4 grandkids and feel the same way with them. I bought them tablets got them a month ago.
  5. There is no such thing. If my kids ask for it, they get it. One year when my daughter was six she wanted a pony. I was flabbergasted. At that time, Horses were expensive. We paid 700 for a pony. Now people are giving them away. IT was the only thing on her list, she told her teacher. So she got it. I just can't bear to not give them teh things they ask for.
  6. I have my daughters kindle almost paid for, my granddaughters car seat is bought, my 6and 8 granddaughters tablets are bought. My 10 grand son and my own son 15 haven't told me what they really want yet. My oldest son either. I did buy my oldest son a set of 40 war dvds when they had a woot off. HE's been to Iraq twice and likes those things. My youngest son is buying a wii u himself, He has it on preorder, so He will wants lots of games for it probably. He will come with a big list closer to christmas. He hasn't really thought about it much. I will buy my newest grandbaby a lot of clothes and girl stuff. I keep her every day, so she is spoiled. I think she's getting new pair of Roper cowgirl boots too. We have horses. I'm a big horse person. She will be on a horse next year. My xmas club came this week. The bank shorted me. I had to take my payment book in and show them, they could see they shorted me, they couldn't figure out where they money was so I had to go back in later and get another check, so I have 800 spend that I won't cash until black friday. My oldest has been renting his house out, but is moving back into it this month and will need furniture, he gave his to his sister when he moved out. I have a good start I think. t
  7. I agree. I would buy the 1.77 peaches and cream crochet cotton in lots of pretty colors. I taught my 8 year old granddaughter how to crochet in april. I told her to crochet the whole ball into a chain before she came back for vacation. She told me she is now done. It took her about an hour to learn the chain. Knitting is hard. I never learned to knit, I hated it. I have been crocheting owl hats for sale and have made 170 this week alone, it's a big thing right now. I took 4 orders today alone. I hate yarn, I think it's old fashioned and ugly. I will buy the expensive Lion brand yarns, but not the cheap Redheart stuff. Cotton is what the kids want. An easy kids learn book would be a good idea with good pictures. And one hook from about E to J. H is the one I use on a daily basis. Sometimes G.
  8. Its not really a coupon looking thing. It just says 10 at the bottom of the email. I had to look twice
  9. Not a chance. Amazon doesnt put current and new products on sale
  10. My xmas club check came today. 775$ Its just for the big purchases, but Ive got some of them bought already. So excited now. I dont cash it until serious shopping starts
  11. I couldnt find anything in the store last week. Will keep trying and as a last resort will get my son a tshirt.
  12. I bought my grandkids a gophone. I like the fact you can pick a day plan. For 2.00 a day they can talk to me as long as they want. They can talk for 2 hours and it's still only 2.00. You are only charged on the days you use the phone .
  13. We had ours for 15 years and our insurance company told us we had to put a fence around it. We live 10 miles out on a road with no kids. I told them they were nuts. We have a huge pool that they didn't care about but the trampoline they did. I moved that trampoline every time I mowed teh yard and they wanted me to put a fence around it for my kids to get impaled on. As for the fence. I had a niece and a nephew fall off of their own trampolines. One broke their wrist and one their collarbone and so it does happen. We don't allow more than one child on ours at a time, but they can get injured anyway. Finally after arguing , our insurance company gave in when we explained any children on it, were invited here since there are no kids within a 5 mile radius. We now have country companies which is a family friendly insurance company that doesn't care about trampolines or pools. OUrs is so heavy the winds never touch it. WE have had it almost 20 years and the stitching is now coming out in the outside, so it''s time to buy a new net. It's a jumpking and we bought it from sams club. I don't secure it because it isn't going anywhere and I move it when I mow.
  14. I bought 3 of the Pandigital tablets for my grandkids. Not that model but similar. On cnet, they said they are the best of the cheap tablets. I wouldnt' buy one for the 16, but for the 2 year old I would. My grand son loved his. So I bought 2 more for his sisters. They have access to the google store just fine. It is a great tablet and had a 139 price tag before the price was reduced to 49. It's a good tablet for a kid.
  15. My husband is a union carpenter. His reciprocating saw is corded and a Milwaukee but he says they arent as good now. His best tools are Dewalt and Makita. He takes those to work
  16. I think over 2000 negative and neutral feedback in teh past 6 months is too much to overlook. I went through the negative ones. One person ordered something that was 179 and said it was broken. IT was over and over again, broken merchandise, stuff not working or never got it. Too many complaints. I won't order anything from that seller. Go to amazon and pay the extra 40 and get a new kindle fire with a full 1 year warranty or order a refurbished one from amazons warehouse. They sell them sometimes.
  17. Amazon sells them refurbished also. What I am saying is if you buy from a store you follow their return rules and such. If you buy from amazon at xmas you have until january 31 to return it if you don't like it or have a problem and get your money bck. If you buy it from best buy, it's 2 weeks I think. Staples the same thing. If you break it , amazon will replace it. I broke my screen twice and they sent me a new one overnight. They will still do that after you 30 day period is up through their warranty, but with the return situation, you follow the store . I saw some bad situations on the amazon forums that wouldn't have happened if tey bought them from amazon
  18. Not hip folks. Those of us who ride horses prefer them. I ride with probabies, but buy my granddaughters all fatbabies. 90% of our saddle club who are very outdoorsy and not at all hip, have ariats. They are the most well made and comfortable for the money. You can spend triple the money and get Twisted X or Luchese but it isnt necessary
  19. i dont buy clothes either, unless its the girls. or a boys carrhartt. They see its clothes and throw it. I dont like getting clothes so I dont give them. My husband came from a poor family of 8 who only got socks and underwear and things they needed, so I vowed to never do that to our kids
  20. No. amazon doesnt put their new kindles on sale and I wouldnt buy from anyone else.
  21. I like the fire. THey hve been talking about this on the amazon forums. You can get a bumper for hte fire also and if you don't put a credit card on it , you can't buy teh games, put an empty prepaid card on it and you can still get the free apps. My son has a fire and my daughter is getting one. They have new kid locks on them with the latest updates and the new fire has a kid mode. The tabeo is still a toy, teh fire is not.
  22. The HD had quite a few other differences. It has a camera, it also has a kid mode, among some other differences. You would have to look at the specs page, but last time I was on teh amazon forums, those are the major differences people were talkimg about. About the sales tax, My state definitely has sales tax, but we don't pay amazon sales tax, that has nothing to do with why amazon doesn't charge it, it's having a warehouse in our state or having them fight it out in court like California just did.
  23. If my son still wanted gaming stuff, that's what he would get. It isn't fair to get them stuff together and have it all be household if it isn't what he wants. My son is 27 and that's still what he asks for. One year he asked for a home theater system just because his wife said he had to . It isn't fair and he wasn't happy. My parents tried the one married gift thing for me the first year and it just doesn't work. My husband would always be sol. He's a hunter. I do mostly cash only, I have a xmas club at our bank, I put 25 a week in it most of the year, It's for my kids big gift mostly, I still buy small stuff when shopping just out of my bank acccount. I never charge anything anymore. Had 9 charge cards at one time adn had to refinance our house 2 times to pay them off. We cut them up in 2008 and have been debt free ever since. 6 more years and our house is paid off and debt free also now.
  24. for good boots don't buy any brand but ariat, ropers or justin. Cavenders have good prices. Any other brands are just faking it and real cowgirls will know. Only place to buy in store right now are the farm supply places. Right now ariat fatbabies are 10 off here, I lay away . I'm getting my 2 month granddaughter a pair of ropers. You can check sierratradingpost.com for closeouts, but they are few and far between. I bought 5 pair 3 years ago of ariat fatbabies for 22.-- shipped. YOu won't find them at jcp or stores like that, they are farm items and you need to go to a farm store.
  25. It's best to buy them from amazon. If you buy from anyone else you follow their return policy. If you buy from amazon you have no tax and a 30 day money back guarantee. Also during this season, you have up until january 31 to return a xmas purchase if you are not satisfied. Also if somthing happens to it, amazon will send you a new one
