Guess it's over, because I went to one today, and when I scanned the items, they came up at the full clearance price, instead of the 50% off that price...

I posted about this happening to me a few months ago with a travel swing...I heard different things here about how people's previous situations were handled, and I called the manager at a DIFFERENT Target store, since the one I'd bought the swing at was out of town from where I live. I explained the situation, and the manager was very apologetic, and told me they are supposed to check the boxes when the items are returned (you could see that they used Elmer's glue to re-seal the box)...I was very lucky, because it had already been a couple of months since I'd bought the swing (and I explained to the manager why that was, since I was still pregnant, and hadn't needed it yet), and we had water damage in the area where the swing was, so I was taking it out of the box to wash the cover, when I discovered there was a cheap bouncer in there instead. He took my name, I took his, and told him when I would be making the return so that there were no issues...the guest services clerk was pretty surprised by what had happened, but I had a good experience with the issue, so I was happy...good luck!

I've had the recall thing happen too...personally, if it's been recalled, I don't want it anyway...

Thanks! I saw them at McD's today, since I'm addicted to their iced coffee, and so I bought just the toy for him today, and he was thrilled! I bought a "starter set" of some sort today, so he'll at least get that for Christmas...I will do my best to collect more of the happy meal toys, if that's going to make him happy, since they're MUCH cheaper, LOL! Momlori, thanks, but I hardly know who Pokemon is, to know what that is, LOL! My oldest ds is 5, and all of the rest of the kids in my circle are either girls, or boys who are WAY too old for Bakugan, or too young to know it yet...I see these "loose" on Amazon, and so I figure the cards or marbles or whatever must be the most valuable part, if they only come with the "ball," for lack of the appropriate term... Oh well, learning as I go, I guess!

A little off-topic, but my son just started talking about these a couple of days ago (a friend on his bus has them), and I know nothing about them. I'd like to get him some for Christmas, since he was practically drooling over them at Target today, but I have no idea what their function is, or what to start off with...any help would be appreciated!!

This is correct...I've done it both ways, handing the Kohl's cash first, or handing the discount % first, and the KC always comes off first, then the % off, no matter how YOU do it...

I LOVE Kohl's, and it's pretty much the only place I can say that I shop regularly...if you're a cardholder, you can't beat their deals when they have their "lowest prices of the season," and you have an extra % discount on top of that...I agree their pricing system leaves a lot to be desired, as far as the price fluctuations, but I still manage to find really good deals there...and in the past, on BF, Kohl's is almost always my first stop...there was only one year I had an issue, and they didn't have a doorbuster on the floor, and once it was found, they only had like 10 of them...everyone rushed the associates, and I wouldn't have gotten one (and I was the first person to ask about them), had the one associate not recognized that I didn't have one yet, and I was the one who was waiting for it in the first place. I would've been very upset had I not gotten it, as it was the main thing I was after, and I'd waited outside in the cold for so long, but that associate made it right, and so I've always been pleased. Last year, I went before closing, and was able to get the GeoTrax stuff I was after on BF, at the sale price that night, since the signage was up already...LOVE Kohl's!!

We will be spending less, for sure...our kids have WAY too many toys as it is, and we have established a smaller budget with family members who are having to trim down their budgets, as well...

Yup, because last month when I found this same sale, I had a 25% off my entire purchase coupon...scored big time!

I could, but then until my current subscription runs out, I'd be getting double...I'll have to check though, I get that one and Simply Delicious, and one of them runs out in Dec/Jan 10, I think, and I've purposely held off on not renewing yet, waiting for a better deal...that would be an AWESOME deal, because I'll renew it anyway, regardless...

I think it really depends on the sizes you're looking for...my daughter is only 10 weeks old, so I was buying for next year, and got several tops for $1.25 after the extra 50% off, a bathing suit for $2.75, shoes that were $4.49 that matched a dress that was $2.49...now my boys, on the other hand, are 4 and 5, and their stuff was totally picked over...just got one shirt that was totally by chance because it was on a table, and I had no idea that it was even clearance until I checked out...

I went to a different ON today...no signs up on the windows, so I expected not to get any deals on their clearance, but once inside, the clearance areas all had the extra 50% off clearance price signs up...got more good deals for my little girl, but nothing for my older boys (they are 4 and 5)...

I don't know, but I intend to go to another one tomorrow, as there was a certain shirt my older son wanted that wasn't in his size at this one, and was out of stock in any other sizes...hoping they have more clearance for my older kids if it is nationwide...they had the signs posted on the windows, too, so it wasn't something I just happened into once I was inside the store... I usually hear about this sale on here, so it must be very hush-hush this time around...

I was specifically told that they will not/cannot hold clearance items...they have done a 24 hour hold for me on other items that I have called them on...

I went to the one at our outlets today, and they had some decent deals...I got the swim trunks and rash guard shirts for my boys for next year, $7.50 each...the cheapest I'd seen them before was $9...they both got bathrobes for the winter (Cars), for $9.99 each, and I think they were originally $26.50. The have the short set PJ pals for $10, but online, they are B1G1, so they work out to $7.25 a set...wish they had the additional % off of the sale prices, but not yet...

I also keep in mind that by my buying books from Scholastic from the fliers my kids bring home, that I am helping their class get books, too...I basically toss out the video game ones, and my kids don't really think twice about those anyway...they just love getting new books, and I like that they're cheap!

I used to REALLY stock up on their glycerin soaps...LOVED THEM!! But apparently they must not have been selling well at $4 a pop, so they discontinued them...that was my favorite part of the sale!
