    Associate Q&A's

Am I correct to assume that even if you get the BF prices on Wednesday evening, that you won't get the Kohl's cash?
  2. I think it's 20 or 25% off your entire sale, even sale items, until like 8 a.m. That's what it's been in the past, anyway...
  3. The reason I was told that they are closing stores is that for a while, they were owned by The Children's Place...they are now again owned by Disney, and thus the closing of stores...
  4. I don't think they sell it...I haven't seen it in store or online...
  5. Guess this is another year I'll be waiting in the cold for Kohl's to open!
  6. I don't know...all the ones that I saw there today WERE new versions...they all had metallic accents, which we haven't seen before...and with the way my older ds is, we go look at Planet Heroes EVERY time we're in Target...so I'm not sure what the deal is that price cut, but WOW, was I happy to see that! Generally when stuff like that happens, it's on the things we already have, and my ds has all of the others, and is getting the remainder of the Voice Comm ones that he doesn't already have, for Christmas...if I can keep him away from Planet Heroes for the next 43 days, he'll be TOTALLY shocked when he sees the others that I got today...still totally psyched about that!! Oh, and I'm going to check the F-P website to make sure there aren't any others that look like they have new accessories or whatever, because I may need to go to another Target this week to scope them out there! Too cool!

    JCPenney Snowglobe...

Been there, done that! Most of the time, I end up going back to JCP later anyway, but I go there when they open to make sure I get my snowglobe, and then go to wherever it is that I MUST get to...
  8. This isn't a clearance item, but while perusing the toy department today, they have the basic Planet Heroes characters, regular $9.99, for $3.50 each!!!! And they have a new character, "Star," and have modified some of the original characters with metallic accents...so I picked up Star and a modified Ace, because he came with a new accessory for my oldest, since he wasn't with me...luckily the little one doesn't have a big mouth!
  9. Wow, no Wii games this week? Saves me a trip!!

Thank you!! I had already scheduled my payment before I read this, and did it for the 20th, when it is normally due...I should've noticed that it defaulted automatically to the 14th when I scheduled the payment, not realizing that that particular day was not the 14th, and it defaulted to that because that is my due date this month! Phew!! I never would've thought to go back and double-check, had I not seen this! Thanks so much!!
  11. Target tried to pull this crap on me last year...I live in PA, and the Target here told me they would do an adjustment...I spent BF in upstate NY, and when I went to get my adjustment, the girl (who was probably no more than 17) was snotty about it and said that they were told NO price adjustments on BF...so I told her that I had talked to corporate, who said they would honor price adjustments (which I hadn't, but others here had, and if I didn't get my adjustment, you'd better believe they'd be hearing from me, for sure!), and she begrudgingly did it after telling her manager that I talked to corporate, but the manager did make it sound as though they wouldn't be doing it again...so I had to tell the girl what I needed adjustments on, and you'd have thought the $$ was coming directly from her pocket, because she was SUCH a snot about it...I thanked her, and I got no acknowledgment whatsoever...and then I see a day or two later that she didn't adjust one of my items, so I ended up calling corporate anyway, and I told them the entire story, and gave them the cashier's ID number, and she gave me a code to give Target guest services that would allow me to prove to them that I was told I could get the adjustment, even though it was after the 2-day sale was over... Luckily I will be shopping here in PA this year, and so if I am told that Target here will do adjustments, and if I get a name of who said that, I would guess that I won't have an issue...I may just check with corporate myself anyway, just to make sure I have that backed up...
  12. Thank God I had already swallowed my drink when I read this...TFF!! Add us to the crappy mail person list...we have a lady who drives a beater with an orange light on top, driving and steering FROM THE PASSENGER SEAT the ENTIRE route...needless to say, my kids don't come within 20 feet of the mailbox if she's around...and half the time, the mail is pushed far enough back that it opens the box on the other end, and ends up on the ground, or there is a box that's really too big for the mailbox, but too small to walk her butt up to my front door, apparently, and it's literally smashed in there...and I have seen her come back around a second time (within a few minutes of her initial delivery), because she's apparently so unorganized that she sometimes doesn't get it all delivered the first time around...needless to say, if I have something of great importance to mail out, I take it to the post office and drop it in THEIR mailbox myself...how pathetic is that, that I can't even take the chance and mail it from MY HOUSE??
  13. I don't know if they're still available, but I saw KungFu Panda online for the sale price...and I was there at 3, and they only had 2, which people had picked up and were waiting for 3 o'clock to purchase...they were also totally out of the Cookoff one...I picked up Alvin and the Chipmunks for $9.99, and the safari one for $14.99...
  14. There are no water sounds in either case...the faucet handle is immovable...
  15. We have it...I have two boys, though, so it probably doesn't get as much use as it would if I had girls...they always played with their cousins', so I thought it would be good for them...it's good with the interactive food kits, etc., but one word of advice is to keep batteries out of it...one of the kids will turn it on and walk away from it, and it's annoying as all hel! to listen to the lady sing, "Five food groups..." It is best suited for a corner space, with the shape of it...they've knocked it over a couple of times, but that's mainly because they're trying to sit on the counter of it...for the price that TRU has this for, for this sale, it's definitely a great deal! My MIL paid like $80 for it for the kids last year...
  16. But they can get into the packages and just dump out the toy to see what it is...and there's no waiting for mom and dad to fight with it while they're whining that they just WANT THAT TOY!!
  17. I don't understand how it got to be such an issue that there needed to be such secure *read PITA* packaging in the first place...my siblings and I all survived childhood just fine being able to get things out of packages ourselves...nowadays, you need a parent, a screwdriver, and an engineering degree...WTF, it's a toy, not a nuclear bomb!
  18. I would SO go back in... And how much stuff can you buy and not notice at the time of checkout, when the cashier gave you the total, that she didn't charge you for a CAMCORDER??
  19. They had Halloween scrapbooking items 30-50% off when I went today...
  20. At this point, it looks like I'm still headed to TRU to get the things I need... Bummer...oh well, an excuse to get out WITHOUT the kids!
  21. Is it the kind where the coffee stays inside the machine, and you dispense your coffee by pushing the lever with your coffee cup (such as the soda dispensers at McDonald's, or the like)? I'm thinking that's the one we have, but I'm too lazy to go downstairs and look right now...if that's the one, it's a decent one...dh is the big coffee drinker, and he got it because his mom had one of them, and he liked it...it must be OK, because my sister thought enough of it to get one for herself, too...
  22. Exactly what happens when I have to get up in the morning...hoping to experience the adrenaline!
  23. Anyone know if the Wii games they've advertised are any good? We have a Wii arriving today, so we will need to stock up on games...I figure for $10, we may as well get them, good or bad, at least the kids will have something else to play...
  24. It depends on what you're looking for...last time I went to the outlets on BF, it was after I'd already been everyplace else that had the doorbusters, etc. Again, depends on what you're looking for...in my case, they've closed all of the Disney stores around here, but we have one in our outlet center that's been open for under a year, and they always have AWESOME bf sales, with an extra % off on their sales, and I tend to spend a lot, and save a lot, there...plus ours also had a Children's Place outlet...I like to buy ahead for my kids for the following year...but you're right, it'll also be a filler (for me, anyway), until the "big guns" open... But I'm also thinking that it'll be MUCH easier to just stay up and shop, than to try to get to sleep (which is difficult with all of the anticipation of the actual event ), and then have to GET up, and drag my butt, so that's why I'm eager to get out there early this year!! Thanks for all of the input!
