Thanks for confirming what I was thinking, Pnambic. A little more background - found out they got suckered into buying a Monster cable recently because they were supposedly "the best". Since their daughter & I are the ones helping them make the purchase of the BR & cables, we can use this info (along with other articles that have said similar) to perhaps convince them to keep some of that money in their pockets and at least drop down to a Rocketfish level or some such. (We both think they were nuts for buying Monster. lol)

So hopefully enough on topic to post here: Got friends who just bought a 4K TV. Very nice. Fine. Whatever. Now they want to get a Blu-ray player (again - fine, whatever) but they are seriously considering laying out good money for Monster brand HDMI cables. (Yes really.) I don't see the point, especially after reading everything from the "4K Killer" (Ha! Love it!), but curious as to folks opinions on the best HDMI cables, given that set up. They're looking at needing 9'-10' length in the cables. Thoughts?

I have three items with tracking numbers already and the rest all say "In fulfillment". So far, so good.

Checked my email this morning when I woke up and there was my Kohl's cash. Nice. Got a code for 25% off to use from 12/2-12/6, too. Gonna put that Kohl's cash to WORK with that. Ha!

Just ordered my first couple items for my SS and have my eye on another thing I spotted in a store the other night. *progress*

OK. Now that my Kohl's order is in and done, I'm off to bed! Work alarm goes off in 4 1/2 hours. lol Happy shopping everyone!!!

All done! Only part of my order was available for in-store pick up, so I opted to have them ship everything. Makes my life easier. Awesome first Kohl's online BF order process. As long as everything comes in, I'll call it a success.

Headed to Meijer for... CAT LITTER (!?!) Thursday morning. Later on in the late afternoon/evening, I'll head out to Walmart (maybe) and then Best Buy if I wasn't able to grab everything from there online. Friday is PetSmart/B&BW/several other places as the mood strikes. lol

Finally know for certain. I'll be in Ann Arbor, MI area, as my dad and his SO are headed to her family for Thanksgiving.

NYC did. That was a Mayor Bloomberg thing. Don't think it ever went statewide, though I could be mistaken.

Back in the day before Mom got too sick to do it, she and I would go out on BF. It was a fun time for us "girls", since Dad never wanted to deal with the insanity. lol Though she's been gone several years now, I still treasure the memories of racing through the stores together.

You'll note many of the Friday times are listed as "Re-open". I don't recall seeing anything about a closure anywhere in the Kohl's ad. (Someone feel free to point it out if I happened to overlook it!) ETA: It might be helpful for those planning if closing times could be added for those stores that are closing during the night, but not sure how feasible that is.

Though I've never been to the local Cabela's myself on BF, I have several friends who have. It's a random thing here and the line starts EARLY. (Kind of like if you've ever been to PetSmart early for their stockings they used to do where one contained $100 and the rest were $5? Yeah. Like that.)
