  1. I rarely have issues with FedEx when shipping things for work or personally. (Using the corporate acct to save some $$$ - and yes, totally legit to do it that way. Company just asks that we pay for anything we ship on the account for personal reasons. Small price to pay.) That said, the most special of the shipments I made this year is currently in limbo and I'm a wreck praying they haven't lost it and it's just the holiday volume causing the delay... It hasn't moved (according to the website) from the next-to-last stop shipments to this family usually make since 2-something this morning and it was originally scheduled for delivery today. Oof. I've already let the family know there's been a delay and gave them the tracking number so they can check up on it themselves if they want to while we wait, fingers crossed, for it to get moving again.
  2. I have NO CLUE which of my friends/family might have ordered this for me but I’m beside myself... It wasn’t in my budget this year but it was something I very much wanted (as a proud member of Rowdy Nation). So. Cool. [emoji172][emoji172][emoji172]
  3. These sound amazing! Thanks for re-sharing them so we can all swipe and enjoy. [emoji4][emoji106]
  4. I honestly try to treat it as I would any gift to a friend and try to go over and above when I can. Doesn’t matter to me whether I happen to have seen (or otherwise know) that it might be the only gift someone might be getting. Honestly, the SS is often the only actual “gift” I open on Christmas Day but it’s only because dad and I long ago switched to just swapping GC’s to places we love so we have excuses to shop there. lol Edited to add: Good thought, though. I’ll be curious to see what other’s thoughts are. [emoji4][emoji106]
  5. Got a box on my doorstep Thursday night that I can only assume must be my SS box (since I wasn’t expecting any other packages), so thanks, SS! Will wait till Christmas to open. [emoji4]
  6. 1) It wasn't that cheap when I was looking at it. (Dang, killer deal!!! Well bought!) 2) Web exclusive and I didn't have quite enough time (by the time I was seriously dress shopping) to feel comfortable with hunting something else down in time for my party if it didn't fit the way I needed it to when it came in. I'm the girl with several pairs of 5" heels, including a pair of beautiful silver pumps, that I could have worn with it, so the length would have been fine.
  7. I almost bought that SAME DRESS!!! Welcome to the size 12 club (that’s what size my dress is as well)! Great work!
  8. Ha! Got it in my mail today, by the way. (THANKS BRAD!!! )
  9. Had work Christmas party Saturday night. Dressy affair. Much fun had by all.
  10. SS shipped! Tracking info sent your way, Bopeep.
  11. What did you do? Hack mine or Brad's PMs to find out? lol
  12. The one off the back of the Mauna Loa bags of macs has been my “go to” for years. Here’s a link: http://wegottaeat.com/comparts4less/recipes/mauna-loa-white-chocolate-chip-cookies [emoji4][emoji106]
  13. Ha! Keep trying, man... [emoji38]
  14. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!! So geeked and so floored at the same time! This comes at such a perfect time. [emoji170][emoji16][emoji106]
  15. Welcome to December, y’all! [emoji4] Time to kick my baking into high gear and get the gears in motion for the church NYE party I throw every year. Where did the year go??? lol
  16. A year’s worth of scoopable cat litter for two cats: $38.06 (!!!)
  17. Done with “MOBILE25” code through the app for 25% off. [emoji16][emoji106]
  18. Sending prayers for your hubby today... That's rough. On a pretty strict budget myself this year, so high on my list is GCs to places like Meijer and Target to help my dollars stretch a little farther while I work through this tight spot.
  19. Yes! WAR EAGLE!!! (Knew I liked you! lol) Try the crumble topping from this recipe (adjust brown sugar to taste): https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/15633/gourmet-sweet-potato-classic/?internalSource=hub%20recipe&referringContentType=Search&clickId=cardslot%203
  20. And, if you're quick when the sale starts online Sunday night/Mon morning, you can often get the 25% off friends and family coupon code to still work. Big bonus.
  21. They expect most to not be paying as much attention to the pre-BF deals available. (And truthfully, most don't.) Those of us here (like you and I) know to keep our eyes open for (and then we often get the same or better) deals long before BF.
  22. I just want the stuff in it this time. I'm sure I can find a home for the bag. Dug through my coupons and I have two I can use, I think. One's a $10 off $30. Other's a free gift one, if I remember right. I'll take it.
  23. That's unfortunate. I got the Rayovacs last year too, no leaking issues here. Bad batch, sounds like.
  24. Dearborn hams are killer. I love to be able to splurge on one every so often. Sooooooo good.
  25. I actually missed out on the Walmart phone deal Thursday night last year, so I headed to Target Friday morning with relatively low expectations of actually getting one but figured "couldn't hurt to ask" (hey - $250 GC is still better than nothing, right? lol) so I wandered back to the electronics department. Got lucky. Was looking for an Xs 256GB, ideally in gold. They actually still had that available. Added my name to the list, gave me an estimated wait time, and said they would text me when it was my turn and I then had 30 mins to return to the counter (I mentioned I'd be walking next door to Meijer to grab a few items to kill time). The process was a bit slow once I got back to the counter but that was due to system tech problems across the board, not Target's issue specifically. The Target employee I was working with was, I'm sure, grateful that I had "packed my patience", so to speak, because I pretty much figured there might be tech glitches with thousands upon thousands of people getting new phones essentially all at once. It also helped that I wasn't in a hurry to be anywhere else by that point. I did my best to keep a smile on my face (or at least in my overall attitude) as we worked through the process. In the end, I left with my new phone, a shiny new $250 GC, and hopefully gave the poor associate something good to remember as she worked through what I am certain is a stressful time for them.
