What If you only could buy one item this Black Friday?
len_mullen replied to jaymacfla's topic in 2021
Maybe, but I can't help smile when I pull a $5.99 ribeye or porterhouse out of the freezer. Those smiles are bound to wear out my face as inflation intensifies. Let's go Brandon! -

When we bought out home in 1990, we filled it with Hotpoint appliances (GE value line, employee discount, etc.) including an upright freezer. That was still working when we recycled it about 15 years later. When we replaced our refrigerator (for cosmetic reasons), I stored it in the basement until I could recycle it. Then I plugged it in and put seltzer water and beer in the bottom and used the top for 'deals' (Zaycon Fresh) on meats. Later I added a chest freezer. That 31 year old refrigerator is starting to rust out a bit, but still keeps things as cold as I like. The capacity of the two frig top freezers plus the chest is plenty for me. The chest is not really inconvenient to navigate/rotate if you store your food in milk crates. I really like spreading our cold foods over two refrigerators too. Something to think about if you are pondering a new refrigerator or come across a sale on a basic model. -

Amazon.com: NuWave Primo 1500-watt Dual-Heat Combo Grill Oven with Integrated Digital Temperature Probe: Home & Kitchen Coming up on two years with one of these ($66.49 at Kohls on 11/17/2019). My favorite countertop appliance. This is a programmable indoor grill with a temperature probe. Salmon, steaks, home fries, chicken breasts, whole chicken, chicken wings, and drumsticks all come out great (though I still prefer oil fried drumsticks). Great gift for anyone who grills outside all summer. -

I paid $69.99 for mine after trade in. The reasons they command higher prices after so many years? 1) Cheap ink that will not damage the printer. 2) People like you and me that praise the printer after years of service. Back when we bought ours, there were lots of options, but few that had all of the features of the MX922. Good luck with your ink tank printer. -

https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Echo-Show-Alexa-Enabled-Black/dp/B01J24C0TI I have nine Echo Shows. Five are these first gen devices. I can't find anything wrong with them. The oldest is more than four years old and I have found it to be reliable. I have one on my desk at work. I use it to listen to radio, 'drop in' on my son, and otherwise entertain myself. I have an Echo Connect and use the Show on my desk at work to monitor and answer my landline at home. While the latest models can cost as much as $250, these are $40. Get this for someone who has a new baby. A pair make an outstanding baby monitor. Or just get one and use your smart phone as the remote device. Also a great nanny cam as you can disable indicators of someone dropping in.Get one for an elderly person who wants to be independent and safe. I bought one for my 82 year old mother. We chat face to face from time to time (hands free). If I cannot get a hold of her, I drop in to make sure everything is OK.Get one for someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen. Alexa can do calculations and conversions, add things to your grocery list, find recipes and substitutes, and entertain you in the kitchen. -

Amazon.com: CANON MX922 INKJET OFFICE ALL IN ONE PRINTER : Office Products I realize this is an expensive and graying printer, but I have been using one for six years now and it is a workhorse that does everything -- AirPrint, Auto Duplex, Auto Sheet Feeder, Borderless Printing, CD/DVD Printing, Google Cloud Print, Photo Printing. Ink is less than $1/cart. If you are a Staples Rewards member receiving $2/cart when you recycle, you are LITERALLY printing money. Happy shopping, Giz! -

I make beef jerky The process can be quirky Good too with turkey Len’s Best Beef Jerky Ingredients • 2 pounds beef round steak, cut into thin strips• ¼ cup soy sauce• 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce• 3 tablespoons liquid smoke• 2 tablespoons brown sugar• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper• 1 teaspoon garlic powder• 1 teaspoon onion powder• 1 teaspoon paprika• 1 ghost pepper (½ teaspoon ghost pepper powder) • 4 jalapeno peppers (3 teaspoons jalapeno powder)• 1/2 teaspoon prague powder #1 (Curing Salt) Directions 1. Trim all visible fat from the beef and place in freezer for an hour or two to partially freeze. 2. While the meat is in the freezer, combine all other ingredients in a medium bowl or ziplock bag.3. Remove the meat from the freezer and slice ¼" strips against the grain. Cut with the grain for a chewier jerky. 4. Add sliced chicken to the mixture and marinate for 8-24 hours in the refrigerator. 5. After the meat has finished marinating, remove from refrigerator and strain excess marinade. 6. Arrange the meat strips on the tray of a dehydrator and dry at your its highest setting until done (at least 4 hours). 7. The jerky is finished when it bends and cracks, but does not break in half.8. Store in an airtight container or resealable bags.

This is the best color scheme we have had... http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/2018_shirt.png Brad, you get to choose what it says on the front, but the back MUST read... IF YOU CAN READ THIS, THEN YOU'RE PROBABLY IN MY BEDROOM! The shirt should be paired with a similarly themed mast. This company will put anything on a cloth mask -- believe me, I KNOW -- you choose the color of the mask and the print... dallan1828 on eBay Let's lock this thread and start a haiku contest.

My oldest always mocked my pantry. He was pretty happy to stop by and grab k-cups and toilet paper when the shelves were bare. -
Shopping for any kind of computer, the first step is to determine applications needs. Usually, that and budget narrow things a lot. Unless this is a surprise, ask what the tablet will be used for capturing any specific application and compatibility requirements. Post here or PM and I will find you the best deal on the best hardware within your budget.

Christmas. For me, BF has always been the start of the Christmas season. The deals and lines came many years later.

I don't really budget for Christmas because the $ is not the most important measure. I pay a lot less for a lot of things than retail, so equity is hardly ever measured in dollars. That said, I have two iPhones on my list, so ...
