I am going with Harbor Freight....on 10/11/10...fingers crossed as I post this...

Gporter34 I am stuck on what to get my kids this year, too. They say they are not sure what they want, and I have no idea. Maybe gift cards and money for the older ones, but that's no fun. However, we will be shopping for the first grand baby this year. She is due Dec. 31 and I want to make sure she is not here without Christmas presents, lol, so, that will help dome. I had to laugh when I read you were shopping for your first grandbaby this year...10 years ago, my first grandbaby was due early Feb., the Christmas before there were presents under the tree with her name on them...probably more for her than anyone else and she wasn't even born. I picked up her coming home outfit, blanket to match, and lots of other needed and some not so needed items. Congrats on the new grandbaby!

Target was my favorite last year, they were great about keeping people from cutting the line...I was number 6 in line along with one of my daughters, they came out and was asking what people were looking for and letting them know where they could find it. They had lots of friendly smiling employees who greeted you as you came thru the door...and they were all to happy to help you if you ask where to find something, even had one ask me what sizes for the sheets and the colors and she picked them up and put them in my cart....even though the lines were long at checkout it went by quickly and like others they were great about breaking up the order and snagging an extra 10 gift card or two...Hoping that they have another great ad as that is where I will waiting.

Thanks again for the amazing job and time consuming work you all do to get this info out to all of us deal seekers... I was very lucky to get everything I was looking for and to help out someone who couldn't make it this year to shop, hope my luck continues. I have a Question...Just went and ordered some of the sheet sets and a game controller...I have never ordered anything that is a Black Friday item on line. Get out of my way Gotta Deal has made my day Shopping till I drop

I get up Thursday morning usually about 2:00 a.m. out the door by 2:20 and in the line at our K-Mart by 2:30 a.m. (this year not sure if I will go find another one, since ours just closed last month) then home shortly after they open, grab and go...work on Thanksgiving dinner, host late afternoon Turkey dinner, clean up the kitchen, then those that are going in our group gather about 7:00 ish and we make final attack plan, who is going where and arm ourselves with list....while having desert...everyone is out the door by 10:00 p.m. Grab a shower and make sure I have everything I am taking with me, phone charged and usually head out the door around midnight....I have tried to go to bed for a few hours of sleep and I have never lasted more than 15 minutes...so why bother. I will make it home around 4-6 p.m. depending on how far I have gone...unload the car and crash finally around 8:00 p.m. Who needs sleep when you are running on adreneline and caffiene....LOL

It is part of the Tradition...even with some of my family in other states, we are on the phone with each other all night...and if one can't get something the other one will and we have been known to buy and mail it with the other Christmas gifts we send...LOL....those of us that are close by, we get together on Thanksgiving evening have dessert and plot and plan the final attack....It's all about spending a great time shopping with family and friends...the official start of the Christmas season at our home.

On my list this year's top 5 items will be... 1. Netbook for dgd will be almost 9 yrs old and pink would top it off... 2. Digital camera for dd, since her's has bit the dust 3. A great deal on a tv for the computer room...32 inch would be nice 4. a Kindle would be nice.... 5. a set of very high thread count sheets for our new sleep number bed....I want to be totally spoiled while sleeping...

A few years ago when the digital photo frames first hit as a Black Friday deal at Wal Mart I was stationed in first in line for them....I was picking up 2 for myself and 5 for other people stationed elsewhere in the store....our store is open 24 hours and has a McDonald's in there also...one of the employee's from McDonald's is walking around and stops and starts talking to some us in line and said wished she had come in earlier those would make a nice gift...Told her for a sausage mcmuffin I could make sure she got one...just a few minutes till the wrapping came off the frames, she showed up with my breakfast....and she got her frame. The lady behind me was laughing and told me you really know how to work Black Friday...she of course had heard me on the phone touching base with all my family and friends that were all over the store and elsewhere...I love Black Friday!!!! I love Gotta Deal!!!!

I will start in Titusville, Florida...head to Merritt Island, FL and probably finish up in Orlando, FL.

My Mother's birthday is Christmas Day....we always do Christmas in the morning and later that evening we did Birthday along with a birthday cake and presents wrapped in birthday paper, one of my pet peeves was wrapping a birthday present in Christmas paper... My oldest nephew's birthday is the 5th of Jan. Love that cause you could hit all the after Christmas sales for his present

Another idea is flash lights, especially the small mag lights, or one of the other small led flash lights, and those can be for either male or female, lip balms, if you live where it gets cold, gloves or a stocking cap are good too.

Yeah!!! Maybe, then my odds will be better...LOL

Jeans, tennis shoes, Christmas socks, a Christmas tee or sweat shirt depending on the weather and carry a small bag that I can wear across me and keep my hands free. Will wear a jacket if I need it while waiting outside, don't have to wear one too often here in Florida. Of course I'm really hoping I will have a gottadeal tee shirt to wear this year!!!
