  1. I too am not as impressed with the ads this year, nothing to scream about or get overly excited about...but I will still go out Thursday night to head to off to one of the stores and wait to get some of the smaller stuff that will round out the Christmas gifts...I think part of the problem for me this year is the last few years I have racked up some great deals through the Christmas shopping season, that no one in my family needs any big ticket items this year. There are some good deals on a few of the items, as long as you are not wanting big brand names or top of the line items. I have been hoping to see a DSI/XL deal that would blow me away, but those are not to be found. Like so many others I am dissappointed in TRU opening on Thursday night, our tradition was getting together with everyone that was going BF shopping in our group and having dessert, making list and planning the next day. Now someone will have to miss that if they want something at TRU...DD was thinking the netbook for 79.00 at TRU....but it comes down to sacraficing family fun time. I know we will still have a great time, but I usually buy 75% of my Chirstmas gifts that day...Don't think that will happen, unless I run across some unadvertised specials...Hoping online shopping will yield some easy wonderful deals.
  2. 3 times I have tried to download this one and the ToysRus ad and get the message of damaged or corrupt file also.

I have been looking at something in an XL this year, would I be lucky enough to find that size there even better better if it comes with a little extra bundle, my granddaughter would love it even more if they came in pink. This is a great idea and fun to entertain/torture us....Thanks!!!
  4. The ad was ok...some smaller items that would be nice, the air hogs helicopter would be nice for my grandson, the disney princess doll set for granddaughter, but like some of the others I felt a little dissappointed in the ad...not really anything that is on my list of things to get. I stocked up on the sheet sets they had last year they were 600 thread count, so even though the 700 count is a good buy not on my list this year. Will look at it again tomorrow maybe I am missing something...Last year Target was a must stand in line store for me...thinking I can give my list of what I want to someone else and I will hit another store first. Waiting now for the Wal Mart ad... Thanks again for posting this...You are awesome!!!
  5. Start in Titusville, head to Merritt Island and then off to Orlando Florida.
  6. I too got my account, but will not be able to join this evening...I hope all goes well and there will be more of these.
  7. I have Sunday and Holiday delivery now, mine is delivered about 5 a.m. and I will go out and pick it up about 5:30 a.m. Don't want any of my neighbors borrowing mine...LOL

  9. OK...here are my attempts at two of the tasks Number 3 & 4. I had planned on getting a picture of the Space Shuttle Discovery launching today while someone held the GD sign, but since the launch was scrubbed today and the contest ends tonight...I had to take it with one of the mock up shuttles. Oh well, in case you can't tell from the pictures I live by Kennedy Space Center.
  10. Congrats to the winners...this was a good contest...I have some new recipes to try this year...thanks to everyone that posted one!!!
  11. I found it on my my Sprint Evo...got it downloaded and checked it out already...working great so far!!!
  12. Here is a simple dip that everyone loves...everytime I have any kind of gathering someone wants to know if I am making it. Shrimp Butter Dip 1 8 0z. block of Philladelphia Cream Cheese 1 stick of real butter 4 tablespoons of real Mayonaise 1 can of tiny shrimp 1/4 -1/2 of small onion Let Cream Cheese soften, let Butter soften. Mix Cream Cheese and Butter together with the mayonaise. Chop the shrimp and onion and add to the mixutre. I chop the onion up as small as I can get it...if you like onion add more. The shrimp I chop up a little. Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours and it is ready to serve...We like to use the club cracker sticks...easy for dipping, but you can use whatever crackers your family likes. This can also be done with crab meat also. Bonus recipe...my new favorite that will become a tradition. take Ritz crackers and peanut butter, make peanut butter sandwiches with them...melt chocolate almond bark in a bowl in the microwave adding a little oil to to make it thinner. Dip the peanut butter sandwiches in the chocolate, put on wax paper. These are OMG Good!!! Make sure you make plenty!!!
  13. I think it is a great idea...loved it a few years ago when we had chat room open also. Like others...after 5:00 p.m. est...but keeping the west coast in mind, think it would probably have a greater turnout after 7:00 p.m. or go for a Sunday evening.
  14. Congrats to the winners!!!! You will love the shirt!!!

  18. I love getting in line early and waiting...it is part of the fun...so if they open earlier, I will just leave the house and hour or so earlier, since I never go to bed on Thanksgiving night, it means less killing time at home waiting to leave...LOL...As for being in two places at once, since there is a group of us, half at Walmart with our list and half of us at Target with their list, with an occasional someone at Staples, Office Depot, Penney's or Sears. We always manage to get everything we are really wanting. Working with a group that is all on the same page works very well...I have taught my daughters well, along with all significant others... I am looking forward to an earlier opening, more time to shop.
  19. WOO HOO!!! Can't wait till the mailman arrives with my shirt, I have told everyone that I will be official this year while shopping...yes, they think I am a little crazy, but they love listening to my stories of Black Friday Shopping!!! Oh, and I do believe they love the gifts they get too...LOL
  20. I hope so...would be nice to get one for the better half...lol...they need to look good carrying the bags to the car...
  21. WOO HOO!!! Just got home a little bit ago and checked my messages...Brad comfirmed my order...I just pulled up my paypal and it is a done deal!!! I will be wearing my shirt with pride this Black Friday.... Now to be paitent and wait for the mail...LOL
  22. Anticipating oh dang the long waiting let the ads begin
  23. Use to go to K-Mart on Thursday morning about 2:00 a.m., but since it has closed...I just get up early work on Thanksgiving meal, check the computer off and on all day...the paper is delivered so grab it early and start pouring thru the ads, there is something about having the actual ad in hand...lol. My daughters usually have Turkey dinner with other relatives, so it is just Significate Other and friends for dinner. My Daughters and any other friends that are brave enough to go with us come over to the house about 7 p.m. This is when it gets serious...everyone has a notebook, pen and ads in hand, pies are sliced and drinks are make and we start on who is looking for what and who is going to what stores and list are made. We divide up and pick up for each other...I never go to bed...too excited. I usually head to Wal-Mart about 11:00 pm...pick up sale items that go on at midnight check out load it in the car and head off to the store that I will standing in line at...usually Target. It is an annual event at my house!!!
