Soon it will be Christmas.

So let’s see everyone’s Christmas decoration inside and out. We only have the inside mostly done. Had out of town guests all last week and then it got cold so we didn’t get to the outside yet. Will probably do that this Saturday.

Didn’t buy a ton. Spent under $200 today. Some of it is stuff we needed for the house (bath mats, towels, wash clothes). I got a movie for myself Top Gun Maverick, got a movie for our daughter. Some perfume sets for the girls and a game. Like I said not a ton. Just nothing fabulous we had to get.

Too many sales that aren’t really sales. I’ve seen more than a few items marked up to prices I’ve never actually seen them sell at then get a discount to still make it not such a great deal.

I think things would go back to how they were if we would stop this month+ long sales garbage and actually have some good deals. Sad it's gone downhill. We may go to a store or two just because we always have but nothing we really need.

You could look at something like Holiday Coro, they are pricier BUT they are a LOT better quality. Normally after the New Year they do a big sale, if you sign up for their newsletter they will let you know when the sale is. You will need a controller for their stuff as the good stuff is all pixel based so you can control each light on it's own. I'm going to use some of their stuff to build our next big light display.

Is your soffit metal or wood? If you're going to put something like this up you could always use the u clips that have a screw on either side. This will really help hold it all where it needs to be. Even if the u clip is a little too big you can use some clear rubber in it to build it up. I've seen the clips in clear many times also so you shouldn't really see them. I'm with you though I wouldn't trust 3M double sided tape to be a long term hold especially with the rain and humidity in FL.

I just think in general even for things that people want the prices just aren’t great. I saw a few deals here and there but I don’t see anything that I’m like oh wow that’s such a good deal I think I’m going to get it. In years past I’ve seen those types of deals. I guess a lot of it boils down to prices of everything just being so high right now.

I mean I see few deals here and there that look OK but nothing jumps out at me as being a really good deal.

We usually wrap in sessions. We will get a bunch of stuff and wrap, get more stuff and wrap. It’s hours of wrapping usually though. This year won’t be as much though since we decided to get vacations for our daughter rather than just stuff which she is now harder to buy for (will be in her teens by Christmas).

Very nice, we have some ornaments that we've had for quite a while that are always and always will be special. We have to find a small tree to put on the landing going up to our upper level this year. We have one in the basement that will get put up soon and then we will likely also have one over between our big wall by the fireplace and then we are going to do a cut your own that will be on the other side of the living room. Our last house our bedrooms where larger than this so my daughter had a tree in her room and we had a small one in our room. Ya we overdo it also lol My wife would LOVE that shower curtain, may I ask where you got it? She is a huge fan of the old style red farm truck. That and Gnomes A person in the sub division near us by where my sister lives has built in LED Smart lights built into all their roof overhangs all around the house. They change the color scheme and such for different seasons. You don't really see them most of the time and they never have to be taken down so it's pretty cool. My wife keeps saying we should do that when we build our next house.
