  2. Another vote for half.com That site is awesome! I get DVD's, CD's (& use to get VHS from them), PS2 & Game Boy Adv games. I also get books & text books too.
  3. My husband got his at Bass Pro shop. I think they were $55. While it isn't under $50.. it's not too much over...:)
  4. Not sure if I am posting this in the right place but can anyone reccomend a decent dishwasher that is in the $300-$350 price range? I have been reading reviews on some (Fridgidare & Whirlpool to be exact) and they weren't too good. I am on a tight budget so I am looking for the best I can get for the money.. I don't need anything fancy, just something that will clean & dry well. Mine is broke thanks......
  5. you are welcome.. if you like A&F, they too are having a good clearance sale . I just posted their link on a new thread :)
  6. They have guys clearance.. I just did not go into it... Here is the "dudes" link.. just click on the clearance.... http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/division_10251_10201_12551_-1
  7. Hollister has some pretty good deals on their clearance items.. just got my daughters some things for Christmas... yes you still have to pay shipping but what you are saving in gas and the hassle if there isn't one that close to you, it is worth it... http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category1_10251_10201_12745_-1_12552 Point Vincente 51400112 Dark Green S In Stock $12.90 1 $12.90 (was 29.50) Salt Creek 39020912 White XS In Stock $9.90 1 $9.90 ( was 24.50) Brooks Street 50100361 Light Brown S In Stock $19.90 1 $19.90 ( was 49.50) El Morro 50105366 Red S In Stock $29.90 1 $29.90 ( was $44) This is just what I ordered, but there is much more..
  8. I got my daughters a Chi on Amazon last year & knock on wood.. no problems at all. They love it. We also have a Rusk that is two years old and seems to be loosing power. It doesn't heat up as hot as it use to. It had a two year warranty and don't you know.. just two years to the week it started. We didn't send it back because it is a thing that we "cannot" really prove. We just feel that it isn't heating like it use to. I am not sure how true it is, but I have heard that the Chi's at Target while true Chi's, they are the lower end ones.. again, I am not sure if this is just a rumor.
  9. I wonder how this will effect some sales with rebates
  10. I think the Tom Tom would have been the better of the deal.. but that is my opinion. I am not sure I have just recently began looking into GPS systems. I am now wondering if there are any that you can purchase where you don't have to "purchase" the map updates. I know the Garmin you do. I don't feel like paying $50 to update the darn thing a year later.
  11. sorry.. thanks for moving it...
  12. I think you are right & I agree..
  13. The Tom Tom comes up at $129.. doesn't say it is sold out the Garmin also comes up at the $129 price too.. there aren't any for the $99.. OPPSSS could be that the Tom Tom is sold out by Amzon.. that I did not check completly... but I do know that the pice is $129 as is the Garmin..
  14. I got this same email from Amazon.. yet I do not see it anywhere for the $99.. when you check the upcoming deals, there are no "hints" for a GPS system.. unless it was in wee wee hours of the morning this link has it at $129 and when I click on the link I got in my email, it brings me to a Garim instead
  15. I got an email this morning saying that the TomTom One Xl was the deal of the day for $99 $299.95 $99.99 (67% off) This is a sweet deal for a 4.3-inch GPS, let alone a TomTom. The TomTom ONE XL ups the ante with a gorgeous widescreen, 4.3-inch display, and expanded traffic options that include GPRS- and optional RDS-TMC radio-based real-time traffic information. Like TomTom's other navigation systems, the ONE XL gives you coverage in all fifty of the United States, as well as Canada--all stored on 1 GB of internal memory. Yet when I hit the link, it gives me this instead??? Save an Additional $30 On Garmin nüvi 270 Navigate both North America and Europe without loading more maps with the affordable nüvi 270. This entry-level Personal Travel Assistant makes traveling so simple. I did get the Garmin 200 at Wal-mart on BF for $97 but would return it for the TomTom. Did anyone else get this email and not be able to get into the correct link?
  16. Wal-Mart lost me as a customer for BF. They did not warn anyone that they had to pay for their item on the line they were waiting on to look or to get your item. When people caught on, they started filling their carts with everything. A short line ended up being a 2 hour wait due to that.. and we were there before they started actually selling the items. They did this for all the electonics, no matter the size... so if you wanted a GPS, you had to wait on that line & pay, then head over to cameras for that, then so on & so on.... My sister waited 2 hours for the camera.. after that we left
  17. I am not sure how the other Wal-marts worked it this year, but they have lost me as a BF customer. I am so upset. My sister and I both were there before 5am and waited on two different lines. I was at the GPS line and she was at the camera line. There were many ahead of us. What Wal-Mart did not tell you was that you had to pay for each item before proceeding to your next item. My sister was on the line for 2 darn hours (once they began selling) for a freaking camera that wasn't worth the wait! We blew our entire morning at that store. I waited 45 minutes for the GPS (also once they began selling). Again, I am not sure if all the stores did this or just the one we were in. I will not bother to go there again. The registers at the front of the store were empty since they were making everyone pay on the line where they were "looking" at the item or selecting the item advertised. Some people realized it and had others with them so they sent them off shopping for items that weren't behind counters and ended up filling carts which in turn slowed the line for the "item" down even more Like I said, they lost me as a BF customer next year. I don't care if they are selling items for a buck!! I will not go there..
  18. I started out looking for the combo.. now I want just the DVD recorder... but that isn't really what you are talking about. You don't want to have to deal with DVD's do you? I have a DVR.. I really don't want it for just that (getting movies off the TV)... my main reason is for wanting the DVD recorder is that I figrue it's cheaper for me to convert my VHS over than have someone else do it for me... I have 100's of VHS tapes as well as my own home movies when my kids were small. For the price of a DVD recorder and some blank DVD's.. it would come out cheaper than to pay someone to do it for me...
  19. After looking at the reviews on Amazon.. I then check them on http://www.cnet.com/ as well. They give a tech point of view review (They also give customer reviews). Then I way the two sites reviews. C-net doesn't sell anything, while Amazon does give pretty honest reviews, in the back of my mind, I still think they are in the business to sell.
  20. I found one for BF (thanks to the links on this board ) However it was only $29 off, reg price was $229 BF will be $199, if I remember right, it was Sears (found it late last night going thru every ad link on this board ) I will take your advise and look today and next week if someone doesn't come up with a "surprise deal" on BF.. :)
  21. A BIG THANK YOU now I can foucus on just finding a DVD recorder.. ok.. before I hit the lists here, did anyone happen do see one for Black Friday?
  22. Glad I read this thread. I did not realize it was a sempron. I could not make it out that well from the pic. I thought it said that but wasn't sure. I noticed that all the computers listed for BF listed what they were except that and thought maybe that was an old pic or something..
  23. are these the only things from their BF ad that will be available online? I was looking for the 9.99 notebook cooling fan... I really did not want to go there for just that. I guess I will have to...
  24. DUHHHH I am a natural blonde. I didn't think of that one.. that would be easier and cheaper too.. ok, next question.. since I am not a tech geek.. how do I get the both to go at the same time? I can run my VCR and (new) DVD recorder at the same time on one TV? OK.. laugh at me....
  25. Here is a prime example of what I am talking about with high mark ups.. how can this be sold for such a low price when it origianlly went for such a high price. Yes, I do know that tech things drop in value, which is part of the point I made. Why would many want to fight the crowds for a sale on BF when you can get a great deal any other time....and there are large mark ups to be able to go this low... : Adds wireless 802.11g networking capability to your Xbox, PlayStation, or GameCube : Uses 802.11g technology, virtually 5x faster than 802.11b : USB powered-does not require connection to an extra power outlet : Works with all Ethernet-equipped computers or network devices : Offers backward-compatibility with all 802.11b 2.4GHz wireless devices : Features wireless 64- and 128-bit WEP encryption : Requires no drivers, setup, or configuration : Comes with a Belkin Lifetime Warranty and free, 24-hour technical support : NOTE - PlayStation 2 will require the PS2 Network Adapter; GameCube will require the GameCube Broadband Adapter : Automatically connects to the wireless network by the touch of a button Limit of 10 per customer Regular price: $129.99 Sale price: $19.99 Forgot to answer the question about why many lined up for the new Blackberry.. they wanted to be the first to have it They don't care about money. If they wait, just as the I-phone's price did, the price will drop in a few months. To some, it is all about being the first.. they aren't the majority but they do make headlines.. The majority do wait and they don't make headlines because that is bad advertising...
