For the first time in I don't know how many years..(5 maybe?) I will be shopping in my own hometown area... Lee County FL I had really wanted to be in Orlando to shop this year, but no one in my family wants to go with me. I will not do Black Friday shopping in another City (spending 2 nights out of town) alone.. not when I am shopping with all those packages and bringing them back to a hotel room alone..

I know I have placed things in my cart prior to BF and when the actual sale started, it was removed from my cart... Now saying that, I am still doing it again this year in the event it does manage to remain there...

I have not even gotten mine in the mail yet at the $5.99 price. I had ordered 2 of them so that is a $4 savings.. I just emailed them asking them if they can credit my account the difference. I would hope they could since the DVD's aren't even in my possession yet.. but somewhere in the land of travel....and they can track that :)

I do have to agree that the unit does get hot, but that is about it.. I use a computer my computer a lot and I love it... and have never had a problem with the keys sticking. I am not saying that you don't. I think you just got a bum unit... I have 2 Toshiba's and love both of them. I know others who have them and really like them too. I also have a personal friend who is a computer repair man and he said they are not bad brands.. it all depends on what you are purchasing. You can buy a cheap unit by any brand, and you can get a lemon made by any brand... for the price Best Buy has these units, and they spec's they are.. they are not a bad deal...

I never dealt with Vista.. I went from the Windows XP to to Widows 7. I had heard to many horror stories about Vista. I love Windows 7.

From what the actual hard copy ad states, it claims there is a "Guaranteed to get it Buy it in store online or by phone Price and availability are guaranteed from November 6-19." Then it has the small number 1 as a footnote. The footnote states that the product may be temporarily out of stock but you can still purchase and they will ship it to your home free of charge. So even if they do sell out, they will allow you to order and ship it to you when it comes in.... My sister has decided to hold off on ordering due to this guarantee.. She wants to wait and see if there are any better deals closer to Black Friday. I don't think it is worth waiting.. you can't beat this price for these spec's without waiting on a long line... or fighting a crowd... this way I will have time to go elsewhere for something else I need I have the Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5983. It is 3 GB Ram & 320 GB HD without the webcam. I got it a couple of years ago at BB just before Black Friday for $379 (I think). It's an AMD Athlon 11dual-core M300 I love it.. I hope these that I just ordered are like this one I have... I use this now as opposed to a desktop!!!

I don't know how I missed this in their flyer when I was looking. I guess because I was looking at the Harry Potter DVD prices and camera prices only thanks for bringing this to my attention. Since I went in to get the link for you, I ended up purchasing two of them I did have to do 2 different orders as they only allow one per order. I just went to look at the actual ad for BB and their $19.99 does look like Amazon's 19.99 one... the 22.99 is the 3-d version...

I purchased that brand once because my bedroom TV went out on me and could not find any good deals fast. This was an cheap alternative.. and I got what I paid for too. It broke like 13 months after purchasing it. I would never get another one of them again!

I would not put it past them to try and beat out Target and have their opening sale at 8pm.. then have their door busters at midnight since Target will be opening at midnight...

I went there with my sister to her Wal-Mart last year. We went for the Mid-night sale, but it was hard to shop when you have the 5am people lined up all over the store. It was horrible. I really think Wally-world needs to get their act together. If they are going to do this again this year, they need to have a section only for the 5am people. They cannot have them camped out throughout the store! This was just insane last year. They never seem to get it right. I truly wonder if they either do not know how to organize of they do it on purpose to just make the deal seekers go thru pure Hell to find grab that deal...

well in my case, for the price, I only want them for my family as an addition to our lap tops. They are perfect for taking with us when we travel as opposed to taking the laptops. They are smaller, lighter and cheaper in the event they get stolen, lost or broken! We only need them then for checking emails, Face Book, discussion forums (like here), internet searching. Discontinued products will work fine for out needs.

This is true if you want it for the games and aps. If you want it for checking email, facebook, ebooks and surfing the web @ the price of $99 & $149, it is a cheaper alternative to a laptop. I just found out this week one of my daughter's professor's wants the class to purchase only the e-text book and bring their laptops to class I am not crazy about her having to take the laptop along with her other text books as well (she commutes and has 5 minutes between each class meaning she will have to lug around 3 text books, laptop & notebooks). The TP will be perfect for her to take. She can use that instead, smaller, lighter and much cheaper in the event it gets dropped, lost or stolen! So while the HP TP doesn't work for what you may want it for, it works for what others want it for... it is more a less what is good for you.. if it is good for you, it's a deal. If it isn't good for you, it's not a deal... I am glad I purchased it I purchased one for each one of my kids (18, 23 & 24), and each one also has their own laptop. This is just an addition for them, not their "only".. so it works for us... I also got one for my husband, I will take that one with me when I go away for long weekends in place of taking my laptop. Again, to use for email, facebook and surf the web.. If someone were to steal it while I am out of my hotel room, I am only out $99 instead of $500!

when did they send you the cancellation notice?

I just got thru checking mine order online and it was to have shipped out today, but they pushed the ship out date to Aug 27th. I did get my order confirmation through the email yesterday. I had a heck of a time trying to check it today. I use Google Chrome and it kept saying no order found. I switched to IE and got thru... after waiting on hold for 91 minutes ...and getting discusted and hanging up lol

Update on my order.. I did get my confirmation email earlier this afternoon. I also have been able to get onto the site to check my status. States that my expected date of arrival should be 8/30!!! I happened to find another shopping cart of mine, how I don't know, but it came up showing that I had some in my cart (this was after my order was placed and confirmed). I sent that link to my friend and she was actually able to use it. She ordered from it.. today! She had no problems what so ever trying to get thru either.. this was after the "sold out" was up on their website. Now I don't know if she was able to do it, because it was in a cart, I don't know... but she was able to do it.. I sent the same link to my sister.. and she could not use it. The cart was empty.. so she did get my "cart" and used it.. if al of this makes any sense...
