  1. I am trying to find a large horse stable/barn for my daughter for Christmas. It would work with either the breyer horses or her bratz horses. Has anyone seen any sales on one of these? I've looked through the internet, but the shipping is horrible. Bomgaars normally carries them, but only got small ones this year. thanks!
  2. I'm not sure what to expect in NE Nebraska. On Wednesday it was 82 degrees and on Friday it snowed. I've frozen in line and had other years I've stood outside in a sweatshirt. What is your weather like?
  3. I get the names of the stores in a column with a dash/hyphen after the name of the store and that's it. Nothing to click on. I've tried clicking on everything in the post both right and left clicks and nothing.
  4. I pick up a lot for my babysitter - she's usually watching someone's kids plus she does a lot of favors for me throughout the year. Or is it's something that someone in my family wants and they don't have the store in the town where they live. They know that I tend to get really organized about how I do everything.
  5. I got to super wm at 10:30 - no pallets out for anything of the special sales. I roamed the store til around 11:45 and saw 2 people waiting by the layaway department. I waited with them. About 12:10 the employees finally found the laptops. There were only 5 of us in line for laptops by 12:30. They were asking the 5 of us what items we wanted then going in the back to look for them. The two people in front of me also wanted the mp3 players and it took them a little longer to find them. I wanted the littlest pet shop and they finally found it at 12:30. They never could find the bratz and most of the other special sale items. luckily, there was no one else there looking for them. When I left the store at 12:45, they still hadn't brought out any pallets for any of the sale items. The employees were helpful and apologetic. Apparently the people who brought in the sale items never told anyone else where they put the items that were for the sale that started at midnight.LOL
  6. The only other thing I want is an entire month with NO POLITICAL ADS ON TV OR PEOPLE CALLING ME TO TELL ME BAD THINGS ABOUT THE OTHER GUY OR REMINDING ME TO VOTE. Don't mean to yell, but really tired of them all. Try living in NE nebraska with only NW Iowa tv stations - the ads I'm forced to watch aren't even for people I can vote for.
  7. dvd/vcr/player and recorder. The vcr finally died, same week the dvd player got hit by lightning. Scrapbooking supplies - good deal on sizzix dies, those things are outrageously expensive. lego sets and the big littlest pet shop playhouse. ipod.
  8. Do any of these stores have black friday ads or sales? I spend too much of my paycheck there, so any extras would help.
  9. The WMs in this area are great(NE Nebraska and NW Iowa). Most of my friends and I price match the grocery ads. Saves a ton, esp. during holiday baking. With the price of gas and the lack of time I have, I don't have to drive around to each store to get the sale items like my mom did when I was growing up. So I take the ads from wal-greens (usually milk and cereal items), hy-vee fairway and any other area grocery stores. It has to be ads for a specific amount, not a percent off. Also works for ads from michaels and hobby lobby etc. when buying craft items. The other advantage is that the local kmart is horrible about having sale items in stock. I usually just stop and get it at walmart to save myself time. Question about the supercenters that are open all night - I know they won't let you put the items into your cart til the stores open, but can you shop for the items from the other ads that you are planning to price match and put them in your cart?
  10. For my parents 40th we bought them a terry redlin clock. It was a useful item and not just something that would sit on a shelf. The one we bought was a taller clock that hung on the wall with a print underneath it. The one they got was special to them as it was the harvest moon ball print. In the picture, the name of the musicians who were playing was the william hess orchestra, which is my dad's uncle. If you're not familiar with terry redlin, his pictures are absolutely beautiful. I'm not a fan of animal pictures but I love the ones of family scenes. We also got them a framed print the next year that had 5 children on it playing in the snow, to reflect their 5 kids.
