  1. Oh no problem, I appreciate you thinking of me! :) And I thought the same thing, maybe it won't be too bad, so that's why I ordered it. I've got some small trees I can put out somewhere and use it for that at least! :) I'll keep my eyes out for a red tree topper!
  2. Thanks! Unfortunately it's only 24", and it doesn't come bigger. It's as cute as can be though, I love it. Really wish it was bigger. I went ahead and bought it last week anyway, "just to see", but yeah, way too small. So now I've thinking about how to make it work. Cut it out and glue on bigger one? Put plain white around tree and this on top? I just don't understand why they didn't just make a big one too. Unless I just missed it... I've looked at 3 Kohl's for it, plus online. Maybe next year... :)
  3. Ugh. I just found out that half of my son's big gift, that I was already stressing about because it wouldn't be released until 12/20,is pushed back and won't be out until 1/15! And another part will be out 12/29. So now I have to completely rethink/rework my list. Because I'm not so sure Santa can leave a pre-order IOU under the tree!!
  4. I'm in pretty good shape, but still have a bit to go. I just found out last night that for my husband's dad's family, where we have to buy to 12 people that we see once a year, that we are instead drawing names, only for kids, so we will only have to buy 2 (or 3, depending on where my DD20 falls on the list) presents! That is such a big relief. I will be ordering my daughter's "big gift" today, and I still have a few little things for all the kids. And one of my son's gifts won't even be released until12/20! that's stressful. And dad and step-dad, and FIL, and BIL. Yikes, maybe I have more to do than I thought. I also have not hardly started on stockings. I also have to do a stocking for FIL this year, as he is staying with us over Christmas.
  5. I was afraid you were going to say it was handmade... My tree is decorated in gingerbread, and it is hard to find a skirt that matches. And our dog decided to eat the skirt this year instead of the ornaments like he did last year. I'll get a picture posted as soon as I've resolved the eaten tree skirt problem! :)
  6. I LOVE this tree skirt! Do you know where you got it? I need a new one and this would be perfect.
  7. Best Buy has the 16GB for $399.99 with $50 GC. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat258600050000&type=category&slref=10&slloc=01
  8. Do a search for "iTunes". Then look for the one that says digital delivery. That one is $80. HTH! :)
  9. There's a couple different versions of the XBox card. Search for it (or use the links posted earlier) and some are available. The Kinect Sports and the downloadable code version. The Kinect Sports themed one is backordered now, but maybe you can pick up in store. Good luck!
  10. It will only let you get 3. But yes, it should all add together if you put them in one after another. FYI The downloadable is also available for purchase, and is not backordered like the Kinect Sports ones are. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Microsoft+-+Xbox+LIVE+3-Month+Gold+Membership+(Downloadable+Content)/1419569.p?id=1218256955230&skuId=1419569
  11. Back from 24 hour Walgreen's. Prices went live at 12:30am, just like last year. I was hurrying to get back home for BestBuy.com to go live, so I gotta make another trip in the morning for more stuff.
  12. The $39 BluRay on the front page? The fine print at the bottom of the ad says that everything on the front page is a ticketed item, and in-store only. Sorry.
  13. Last year, the prices kicked in at about 12:30ish am at my 24 hour Walgreen's. Hopefully they'll start closer to on time this year.
  14. I was at my 24 hour CVS this morning, and the manager did say specifically say they would be open and start the sale at midnight. :) I'll be there a little before to gather my stuff, checkout and head to Walgreen's, then home by 1am to shop BestBuy.com!
  15. Okay, if you check here you can read the small print better. It does say that those are in-store only. http://bestbuy.shoplocal.com/bestbuy/default.aspx?action=entryflash&promotioncode=112411MWSNKPK&sneakpeek=y&_inv_out=9883&_inv_cp=1983879
  16. Typically, the things on the very front page are store-only door busters, as those are the items that they give tickets out for. Of course, that could always change...
  17. My oldest, who does like to read, got a Kindle 2 years ago when he was 13. I went out on a limb on that, because that's when e-readers were just coming popular and he didn't even know they existed. Luckily, it was a big hit, and he loved it. So did his little brother who was 10. So, last year for Christmas, grandma got both boys new Kindles, and they both love them, even the little one who just "likes" to read, not loves it. (And I got the "hand-me-down"!) My oldest is in Honors English, and he does about half and half. Some books he would rather have in hand, but he does get a lot on Kindle. I try to always make sure he has a gift card handy to make purchases with so no unexpected charges come out of the bank. It's nice when he remembers the day before that he needs a book, no more running around the bookstores looking for one! The youngest (12) much prefers having his books on Kindle. Before counting on that though, I would make sure with the school and/or teacher that they will allow it. Some may not.
  18. Both paint and glue are listed on the prohibited list for USPS. I know I had a friend that wanted to ship a lot of acrylic paint in a move, and was told no. Maybe you can get an additional gift card for him to buy the materials? He may have fun picking out different colors of paint anyway... From the website: Some common hazardous materials include… Perfumes Nail polish Flea collars or flea sprays Aerosols Bleach Pool chemicals Paints Matches Batteries Fuels or gasoline Airbags Dry ice Mercury thermometers Cleaning supplies Items previously containing fuel Glues Fireworks
  19. Yes, for playing those kinds of games, a netbook would be best. Good luck! :)
  20. That's what I've done the last couple years with both CVS and Walgreen's. We have a few of each around, so it's easy to make trips to multiple stores. But, when I went past my 24 hour CVS yesterday, they had a big easel outside that said Thanksgiving hours. Of course I couldn't see what they actually were while I was driving, and couldn't pull in at the time. I'll have to mkae a trip past there again before Wednesday so I'll know for sure!
  21. Yep! I used to get my boys these every year from Target. Until last year when they finally stopped wearing them at ages 11 and 14. I love those pajamas.
  22. Yay! Thanks Brad! :) Glanced through real quick, a few things that caught my eye. They have a ladder again, but not the one like they used to. And unless I missed them, no batteries. Neat Dremel set though. Too bad I just got the Trio last month.
  23. Last year the paper gal was making the same rounds as me at the drug stores. I saw her at all 3 I went to! :) A couple years ago though I did have to go to a few stores to get mine. I had been having it delivered, so I didn't realize how hard they were to come by once I stopped getting delivery. I know now!
  24. I'm always so hard, drives my mom and husband crazy. Mama got me a Windows Phone this past weekend for my Christmas present, so she should be about done. :) I would really like for someone to come clean my house, and my carpet, or better yet, replace my carpet! But yeah, that won't happen. I could use some new kitchen rugs and placemats. A gift certificate to my local dollhouse store. There's a table I've been eyeing, but I won't ever buy it for myself. But, if I saved up GCs... A new pair of pajamas To get my 2 broken diamond bracelets fixed. A guilt-free really nice dinner out. I am no fun.
  25. Okay, I'm hard. As usual. I need a laptop with a video card, at least an i5. I was hoping that Best Buy maybe would have something, but doesn't look like any of those have video cards. Was hoping to stay closer to $500-600, but I guess I'll be closer to $700. Found a couple for $650 or so at NewEgg, but the best deal so far I've found is directly from Dell at $693. If anyone has any ideas or sees anything good anywhere I've missed... :)
