Go check on the Smartthings forums on their site. Lots of good info there, including talk on the integration of the Harmony hub and smart things. They play well together.https://community.smartthings.com/

We are finding a lot of things compatible. It seems to be working out well. The app even works with Windows phones!

That's why I just bought the hub and 2 bulbs to start with. Those were fun to play around with to get started. The little toggle switch we installed yesterday is pretty cool, it doesn't stay in an up or down position, it stays in the middle and you push it up or down, and it goes back to middle. That way we can use regular bulbs outside , and control both lights with one smart switch. Let me know of you have any questions!

That comes out to $40 for a year... I usually can find the 1 year on ebay for about $36-38. So that takes some pressure off, and you don't have to find something to spend $15ecb on.

Smartthings had a sale last weekend, and Amazon also ran the same sale. I bought our smart things hub last year, and I really can't remember if there was a sale, I'm pretty sure there was, seems like $50 off a kit. I ended up getting just the hub from amazon warehouse deals. We've had it since last Christmas, and husband has fiddled a little with it, but just this past week he has really got serious. We are now utilizing a smart bulb, smart outlet (my Christmas tree will be plugged into this so it will come on when I get home!!), the porch lights are on a smart toggle outlet, and the door knob also uses the presence sensor. Last week it only integrated with the nest, so he's been busy! I would be sure to check the smart things store and Amazon. I saw a hub at home depot last night. But I know Amazon seems to mirror the ST store sales.

Yay, some pretty good freebies and deals in there. Seems like the last couple years they did most of the freebies the beginning of the week instead of Thanksgiving.

Just noticed... Nike sale starts Sunday, and the Converse sale doesn't start until Wednesday. In case either of those were on your list. And also no coupons on those, but you can earn Kohl's cash.

Y'all are awesome, thank you!

So the gray boxes are the doorbusters, which usually say in store only. But I notice this year they say in store and online which is nice. But has anyone found the fine print that says what time that part starts online? (my eyes aren't so good anymore!) It says ending time is 1pm. Maybe they start 6pm eastern since that's when the first stores open?

Yeah, but they aren't as cool as the other from TV. I did realize though that the 10' cord won't be long enough for what I was planning, so I found a longer one at Amazon. Amazon FTW!

Okay, no cute candy cane cords... But the table is cheaper (with card) than True Value, and that's a pretty great price on the rolling tool chest, which was actually on my list to look for. And the bird feeder ornaments are too cute!!! Plus b2g2 bird seed.

The day or weekend after thanksgiving usually. Last year I think it was a week later, I just wasn't in the mood, and the rest of the houses didn't get decorated until a couple days before Christmas! I can't do it before, I need to do one holiday at a time. That's how mama always did. What's funny though, is she now puts it up the weekend before thanksgiving, and all the other decorations too. Except the kitchen. After thanksgiving dinner, we switch it from thanksgiving to Christmas. I hope I'm in a better mood this year and decorate again. The candy cane extension cord from True Value will be my motivation!

I use the shopping lists here on Gotta Deal. Make notes of coupons and such, then just print them out. It has store hours printed with the list, so that's helpful too.

Sadness... I no longer have a local store. Closest is about 40 minutes away in either direction. I'll have to ponder this.
-
I know!! Isn't that the most awesome thing?! WHY has no one ever made one? I have already decided I will go up soon and see if they have them early, because it's too important to miss!!
-
That candy cane striped extension cord - I NEED that! Probably 2. Seriously, I have no outlets in my foyer, so a big green cord always goes down the steps. Since my theme is candy canes, it will match!!! I also see about 3 other things of interest, yay. Too bad the one across the street closed.

Ugh, don't you hate that? Santa only makes toys in his work shop. Electronics and such he still has to get from the store. And since there are so many kids, the parents have to help him out for some things.

I was hoping they'd have a 4k monitor. One of the few things my son has asked for. I might look into the gaming keyboard though. And mama needs to buy a laptop for nephew, a couple possibilities here. And that's a great price on the alpha, and a discount on that new aurora is nice too.

Yay! It looks great! Wasn't it fun?! Here's mine. (I have no idea why it's sideways. ) As a side note... Tomorrow is the last day for double VIP points.

Where did you get your realistic reasonably priced artificial tree?
bluebear replied to burberryplaid's topic in 2016
The year before last, it was available online early thanksgiving morning. If you want it, I would be sure to get up and check at the time the sale starts (I think it was 6am, but don't hold me to that). That year it sold out early. I checked at 6, talked myself out of it, then by 8 when I got back up it was sold out. I was glad I got it at the store though, because I was too impatient to wait for it to be shipped. -

Yes, this is the tree I have also. I love it. They do sell out quickly though, year before last they were available online for probably less than an hour. And when I went in store, I actually stood in line (only time I've ever stood outside in line!), they were flying off the shelves. -
Walgreens, target, Dell, best buy, and Kohl's (although I got a lot during the "lowest prices of the season" sale, where many things were close to bf prices)

Home Depot usually has a Martha Stewart tree on black Friday on sale for under $100. I got one a couple years ago, and it's really pretty. It's got a combo of rubbery plastic branches and the usual cloth-like branches, and that adds a little interest to it. -
Hooray, the first things added to my exciting list this year! Pepsi, earbuds, and detergent!

Seems that home depot has an appliance sale all of November, with their "bf prices". Best Buy and sears also have good appliance sales.
