  1. Which one's in NE Tennessee?
  2. I was going to say they obviously haven't seen my 14 year old ds with a jar of peanut butter. That boy is still addicted to pb and jelly sandwiches! It just takes more than one to satisfy him now... lol.
  3. Oh well, no luck in my hunt for a sewing machine, does anyone know how often they clearance the sewing machines out?
  4. Wow... that is a great deal. I checked the "bad" Target at lunch. They did have several machines on display that did not have homes, but none in boxes- since Target doesn't sale their displays I was just out of luck... I will check my favorite one on the way home again, but I'm thinking I just missed out on this deal.
  5. I dropped the ball on this one. I scanned over the sewing machine information, as I rarely sew. I'm doing good to get a button back on a shirt:tongue1: However, I was telling my mother about it yesterday, turns out she really needs a new one. Could someone let me know exactly which ones were clearanced out? I didn't see any yesterday, but I wasn't sure what I was looking for either. TIA
  6. My Target had 3 of the playhouses last night for $32.xx, but none of the other sporting good items had been marked less than 30% off. I did manage to score one of the Crayola model magic Princess castle set with the two castles for 4.98, and one of the MM Juices boxs... First time I had found the juice boxes so I was excited!
  7. I am lucky... He was trained quite well by his mother. Now if I can get our son trained half as good... lol. Not much at my Target today, all the clearance is pretty much wiped out and picked over. I'm waiting for the Bazaar items!
  8. Hmmmm.... My husband does buy a lot of his own clothes, and if it's something that I don't like, well.... it somehow gets lost , or shrunk... or a spot of bleach... well, you get the idea. Luckily for me, that doesn't happen too often, he's pretty good about picking out clothes. I couldn't imagine treating anyone like that... poor guy.
  9. Ohhh... I meant to tell you all something that happened today. Since we have been on the subject of kids tattling to "daddy" - I was getting my few items in the toy section, and the cutest little boy walked by me (he had to be about 3) he was holding a Tshirt and clutching $2. His mother was looking at toys and she commented to the little boy... "oh, this would go with your race set that Santa brought you." The little boy said " ooooooh, I like it - but I don't need it." His mother turned around and looked at him, and he said " I know I don't need it, daddy said I don't need another d*mn thing." Everyone in the aisle was biting their bottom lip... His mother grinned and said, "well, I'm going to get it for you anyway." and he said, "ok, we just won't tell daddy." He told me he was a big boy and was buying his own tshirt, hence the $2.... It was just priceless...
  10. I gave in and went at lunch... My son is 14 and way over the toy scene, but there are still plenty of kiddos in the family to buy for. I got: 1 Clue Jr Game 2.74 1 Barbie Jelly Camera 3.22 1 Elec. Family Feud Game 4.98 1 IP Rosella 3.74 1 IP Luciana 3.74 1 Barbie Throne 12.48 AND I managed to score one overlooked Christmas box of Choxie Truffles for $1.50 (had been 15) Grand Total : $35.44 Not a fortune, but I did get some birthday gifts out of the way!
  11. Well, I suppose I will have to venture into a Target today... but it will be my favorite one. I've been a little gun shy since my last run in... To update, the Target manager phoned me (not DH) to personally apologize for the way that I was treated, offered coupons and ASSURED me that Miss Kathie would be the recipient of some major retraining before she was turned loose on the registers again. Apparently she was called in and counseled at length over the whole fiasco. Glad to see that you all have been finding great bargains...
  12. My ds is a teenager now, but reading your post made me have flashbacks!
  13. They very well could have been... I didn't notice that there were two bar codes. Wish I had noticed that in the store. Might have saved everyone a headache.
  14. My husband called and the person he spoke to was very nice and very sorry that I had to endure that kind of treatment. They were going to contact the management team at that Target, who in turn are supposed to contact us to tell us how the issue with the cashier will be handled. My husband is a district manager with another retail chain, and is a major stickler for customer service. I think that is why his employee was so tuned in to what was going on - it was just a perfect example of how not to treat a customer, it was just a strange twist of fate that it was her bosses wife. :) I have never been treated badly at the other Target that I normally shop at.l love the employees there. My husband told me that he was shocked that I was at the other Target, he told me I was "cheating" on the other store. I told him that he need not worry that I was going to be faithful from here on out. lol. I love the smiley... I didn't know that one even existed. All the same, I am thinking you are cruising right along the same line he is. Thanks again to all of you for all the support, and advice. It really is appreciated. You all are great.
  15. I know... I wanted to do it myself. I had worked myself up pretty good... but he enjoys playing the "knight in shining armour" so I let him call. I suppose I'll have to come up with a good way to thank him
  16. Thanks again! Had to give you a update, right after I got the corp number my husband called. He works about 5 minutes from the Target I was at today. He wanted to know if I had been at that particular Target at lunch, I said I had... (frantically trying to figure out why he is having me followed... ) He wanted to know if I had run into some trouble... (again, how the crap?!?) After I filled him in... he filled me in. One of his employees had been checking out at another register, and had of course taken note of this poor woman that the cashier was treating so badly... and recognized me from a picture my husband has on his desk of our family. She'd been in his office this afternoon and asked if he had talked to me... she wanted him to tell me (if it was me...) that she really felt bad for the way I had been treated. After he told me all that he asked for the information that was on the receipts, and said he would take care of the call... I almost feel sorry for the person he talked to ... he had that "calm" tone in his voice, you know - the one that always comes before the storm....
  17. Wow. I will do that. Kathie is in major need of some re-training.
  18. Thanks everyone. I will call the corporate office and complain... it was embarrassing. Most of the employees at the other Target know me as a regular bargain shopper, but these employees definately made me feel like I was trying to pull something over on them. Her name was Kathie, that's all I know. I couldn't get over her saying that we were cheating the system, just because we share information about markdowns. Unbelieveable.
  19. Okay... I have to rant... I normally only go to the Target that is 15 minutes from where I live, but today I thought I would go to the one that is about 20 minutes from where I work on my lunch break to check out any toys they might have on clearance... Their toy selection is okay, pretty much the same thing that the other has left. However, I did spot two Cranium Turbo games on a shelf. Took them to the scanner and they scanned at 2.49. Put those in my buggy and went to look for the Classic Pooh Christmas blanket, no luck... but I did find a really cute soft stroller bar toy on one endcap "as is" item. It is still on line for $14.99 but it was priced with the "as is" sticker at $1.98. Nothing wrong with it, so I put it in my buggy for a baby gift for my cousin that is due next summer. I got a few other items that I needed and headed to the register. The cashier rang up the first Cranium game, and it came up "item not found" I told her that's really strange, I scanned it about 15 minutes ago and it came up 2.49, I wish I could have had a camera on her face... just to capture the look she gave me. She said that is obviously a mistake, these games sell for much more than that. I said that they normally did, but they had gone 90% off with the Christmas items. She asked me why on earth they would do that, they weren't Christmas games... I told her I didn't know, but they had as I had read about it on a forum, and had bought one at the Johnson City store a few days ago. She said that's the problem with the internet, one person cheats the system and they share the information. These games cost us more than $2.49, a honest person would realize that.... By this time I was ready to climb under the counter. I asked to speak to a manager... The manager was nicer about the issue, but I could tell she couldn't quite believe the price either... but she did do a over ride and gave them to me 90% off. The cashier yells over at the girl two registers over... "Have you ever heard of us marking games 90% off?" By this time the whole front of the store is watching. Next comes the stroller bar toy... she has a hard time getting it to scan and looks at the "as is" sticker and says "what's supposedly wrong with this, it's never been opened." I said I dont know... looks okay to me. She said weird, I thought these only went on something that was torn up or broken....She calls the manager back over to ask if the tag is supposed to be on something that obviously hasn't been opened. The manager assured her that it was okay, and I finally got the rest of my items rung up and got out of there... As I was walking away the cashier yelled at me and said "were there any more of those games back there?" I said "no," and she said "good, I wouldn't want to have to give anymore away." I was already 15 minutes late as it was, so I didn't want to complain to the manager... but now I wonder should I? What do you think?
  20. That's amazing.... Is it a BIG Target?
  21. So it should be all the toys that are on clearance? Not just the items that are already 50% off? Awww, man, now I am excited! lol.
  22. The Johnson City Target store had one today 50% off... I know that's a little far, but you might want to check the Target in Knoxville. Hope that helps!
  23. I meant to mention if anyone is in the Northeast Tn area, the Johnson City Target had one Butterscotch 50% off today. Sounds as though he may be down to 75% off by the middle of the week.
