I am sorry to hear you are having such a hassle. That is horrible! My mom got a kindle a few months ago and absolutely loves it. She has talked to so many people with other brands since then that don't like theirs. I swear the demonstration she gives of her kindle she should get paid to market the things. lol My mom is in her 60's and she has never had the best eyesight (wears strong glasses and has glaucoma). She loves being able to make the words bigger. Another great feature is that many of the books have a text to audio function so it will read it to you. There are also thousands of free books available on amazon for kindle and thousands more at only a dollar or two. Also, if you ever get a new kindle or want to use a kindle app for a phone or computer, your library is remembered through amazon and you can re-download them instead of having to buy the titles you have over again.

Wow that is awesome. Sally's has always been great about honoring things. My mom has been a manager for years with them (they want her to go district manager but she wants to keep at store level).

You might want to check radio shack for accessories. When I bought my DS there they had all kinds of DS lite, DSi and DSXL accessories for really cheap. I got one of the all in one packs for $2.97 and a hard shell cover (nerf-like) for $1.97. They had lots of other kits too.

For years I have had a contract with AT&T (well it was cingular first). We have a 4 phone plan and have my mom and step dad on it and they split the bill with us. However, mom brought up the idea of straight talk phones, and we are really considering them. Right now we have 4 phones with 1100 shared minutes, free nights and weekends starting at 7pm, unlimited texts on all and unlimited internet on 3 of the 4. It is running us about $205 a month with the military discount. With straight talk we would be able to get unlimited everything for each phone for $185 a month with no worries about going over minutes or rollover minutes, etc. I have heard that they are on the Verizon network which is pretty good. I am hoping we will get good service here with them as my AT&T phone barely gets service in my house. The main drawback of course is we will have to buy the new phones outright vs. getting phones free or cheap with a contract. Plus the phones they offer are limited. The ones we are looking at are about $190 on walmart.com. But that is cause DH wants one with email and we usually both get the same phones. I am just looking for any personal experiences and/or suggestions before we swap. It will not be till January that our contract runs out so I will probably just get them with income tax return. I am in the research phase of it all right now so your input would be great! :) Thanks!

Mine had them in the glass top counter right at the register. They are clearly marked with a red sign saying "clearance" and the price and they actually showed me a Radio Shack ad that had them in it showing they were that price.

OMG I had no clue how many I had in there. I add stuff I am interested in or the kids might like, and I have stuff going back for three years now. lol I hate how hard it is to clean it out. Oh thank you thank you thank you for this post. This was what I was going to go to walmart for. I called my store and they had a few blue/blacks and a few red/blacks left so I had them hold me one to pick up tomorrow for my DS. I almost paid full price yesterday for one -- I am soo glad I didn't. DS's bday is Thanksgiving day and I really wanted to give it to him for that not wait till Christmas. My store has them for 89 btw.

I am looking for a good waterproof luggage carrier to go on top of my Ford Escape. I am fine with the soft sided kind as long as it will be waterproof. We will be traveling about 6000 miles over the course of 4 weeks and need it to be a descent one. Any personal stories with the use of one would be great if you have one as well. How much will she be using the phone? My sister has the Go Phone and loves it. If anyone she is calling regularly will have AT&T/Cingular then that is the way to go. Because with it you can call any other customers for free. However, you are charged a dollar for every day you use the phone. Other people would rather opt for the TracPhone.
