  1. Guess I'll bite the bullet and do the bulk of my baking this weekend. With the big snow storm coming thru, dont really need to go out in that mess and its the perfect excuse to get it done. :) And its only a week early, so they should still taste pretty fresh, right?
  2. LOL My DH and my friend are like this. She likes Michigan, and DH of course like Ohio state. I just sit back and watch. :)
  3. We had a neighbor have a few of his decoration stolen in the past few years. I agree it sux that these kids cant leave someone else's stuff alone. Too bad you couldnt get a motion detector and hook it up to music.. REALLY LOUD MUSIC. And then when they walk by it, it blares it out and scares the begebees out of them. LOL
  4. Anyone know if these codes expire? (pardon my stupid question, just noticed the answer at the top of page. )

  9. Is whats under the tree, all her present? If so, then she ruined it for herself. I know i'd be pretty ticked off if my kids did it. They kinda do now, but not all of them. I cant afford to go and buy all new toys, so its they're fault they snooped. And if they are disappointed on xmas morning, so be it. :)
  10. I dont see any Guys. Nuts. could use one for DS12
  11. Well, that makes my decision. Glad you posted that.. cuz I would have never known till they opened it up and was disappointed.
  12. I have to agree with the others on this. Cash or GCs are probably the best to get boys at that age. My oldest DS is 12, and he's getting to be sooo hard to buy for, that its frustrating. And its hard to be honest with family that want to buy for him, cuz everyone is on a tight budget these days, so I cant really expect them to get him what he REALLY wants, he's got expensive taste. So when I try and help them out with things to buy him, it comes off a little harsh. Not that I'm that way, its just he's difficult to buy for. So just take what she said with a grain of salt, I think she was just trying to save the boys acting disappointed when they opened the gifts in front of you and having bad feelings all around. :)
  13. Its for Ages 4 and up, so I'm assuming that its very toylike. I was wanting to get one for my DS12, so he can record his bike stunts and stuff, but I think this might be too juvenile for him?

  15. Wow.. First off congrats on winning both systems. Thats great! :) I know what you mean about him not having anything fun to open.. I'd feel the same way you do if I were in that situation. Is he into sports? Maybe a little handheld game he can play? (I do like Marcster's idea with getting him a Wii game too)
  16. I guess I dont give many gifts out. I give to immediate family, teachers, and some close neighbors. Does family count with not liking them?
  17. I dont get a xmas bonus. I'm almost 100% the rest of the employees get one, but I think they see me working from home as a perk for me, and an excuse not to give me but the bare minimum. I get 1/2 day on Xmas eve and xmas day off, (paid), so for that I am grateful. :)
  18. Oh wow.. Thats awful. I hope he's doing better. I agree with ChristiB, I'd be freaking out still.
  19. We did in the past, but we kinda got away from that. I have 3 boys, so I guess they arent into that as much as girls would be. :)
