I agree, a nice christmas card now and then a thank you card after the holiday. :)

  15. Well, since my DS is the same age, these are the types of things I think would interest him. - CD (even though he has an Ipod, he can rip songs from it, and load on the ipod. - Axe gift set (with shower gel and deodorant) - Football cards (he's bigtime into collecting) - Handheld electronic games (I saw they have are you smarter than a 5th grader out for $15-20) - Board games (monopoly, battleship, clue, checkers, etc.) Have you been on Amazon.com in the last week? You can get 2-4 gifts for Under $20 for his age group. Free shipping might be over, but it still might be worth a looksy. Good luck. :)
  16. I try to get the same number of gifts, but my DS12 understands alittle better that his gifts cost a lot more. I'm sure if you explain to him, either before christmas or right after, he'll surprise you with understanding. I might have missed it, but what age is your son? We might be able to come up with some cool/cheap ideas for you. :)

  21. this is what we make... Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole 1 pound ground pork sausage 1 teaspoon mustard powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 4 eggs, beaten 2 cups milk 6 slices white bread, toasted and cut into cubes 8 ounces mild Cheddar cheese, shredded DIRECTIONS Crumble sausage into a medium skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown; drain. In a medium bowl, mix together mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk. Add the sausage, bread cubes, and cheese, and stir to coat evenly. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cover, and bake 45 to 60 minutes. Uncover, and reduce temperature to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until set.
