  1. Personally, I price match because I prefer not to shop at some retailers (walmart). Rarely do i do it, but every once and awhile there is a deal just too good not to get.

    Creative Zen

I'd say thats very wrong. Firstly the Zune isn't even out. And hasn't been properly reviewed or tested and the reviews that have been done place it below the ipod. Second i would place most iriver models above the creative, altough the Vision is nice. And lastly. Despite whatever you my have against the ipod. It is still the best player bar none.
  3. People who push around carts just to hold their jackets... Nothing bugs me more
  4. I buy quality not brand. I reasearch most things at least a little. Some of the bargin brands in electronics are just repackaged name brands. I bout a "Bargin" LCD that was exactly(except for the casing) the same as the top of the line LG. Savings $750. Exactly the same quality.
  5. Chocolate, candies and oranges from my stocking!
  6. Core solo is likely the fastest if you're talking budget computers. The Celeron is probably the worst.

    Steve & Barrys

Does anyone know if Steve & Barrys does anything for BF? I know their prices are low already but wondering if they do anything else. Thanks.
  8. It's not quite too the same extent. Boxing day is crazy. And the deals are ridiculous. Plus its a great time to spend any Gift cards you might have got.
  9. In Canada, and indeed any other country that celebrates it, Boxing Day (in French, lendemain de Noël, "day after Christmas") is also "day after Christmas") is also observed as a public holiday, and is a day when stores sell their excess Christmas inventory at significantly reduced prices. Boxing Day has become so important for retailers that they often extend it into a "Boxing Week". This occurs similarly in Australia and New Zealand.
  10. I agree i'd skip the zune and go for an apple or creative offering. Both are much more mature(bugs worked out) products.
  11. Yup. Turkey, family. The whole bit. we just celebrate it the first weekend in October. And Boxing Day is rediculous too. Although i usually skip it because i prefer to just spend time with family as i've shopped enough the month before.
  12. This is all well and good but what happens when Napster goes out of business(i use when because Napster is loosing money hand over fist) . Your left with nothing but your daughter owns the music she bought. And don't forget you can rip your own cd's and cds you get on sale (on most mp3 playes) which is much more economical than either the subscription or itunes.
  13. Apple refurbs are one of the best ways to go. I even bought my computer that way.. saved a bundle.
  14. The zune is only going to be a couple dollars cheaper than the ipod. The wireless it offers is only good if you know someone else who also owns one and even then only for transferring a song to each other and only being aloud to listen to it 3 times. The features are close but i'd go with the ipod for the simple reason of the itunes software is head and shoulders better than anything else. And the store is the best. Especially with free podcasts(gotta love free).
  15. I'll be hitting the same area as you. But i'm crossing the border the night before. I find other than a couple door crashers and blitz items most of what i end up buying during that two day period is available (although heavily picked through) all weekend.

    Canadians on BF

Any other Canadians heading down for BF? I'm heading down and meeting up with a bunch of my family on thursday. Big Dinner, Early to bed. And then the madness.
  17. OK. My first post. I think you and your wife had a strong case until she threw the flyer. Soon as she did that she commited assult (granted being hit by paper isn't going to damage anyone), and that basically trumps the lazy and buligerant behaviour by the employee. Better course of action would have been to ask him his/her name and and say "todd, would you please get me your manager now." and when the manager comes explain what just went down. Now on with the BF fun.
