  1. I would go to Best Buy and clean out the DVD section. My second choice would be Target or WalMart. I would go crazy in the home section.
  2. When I was little, my sister and I used go wake our parents up first and then we'd all go to the living room to open the gifts. We didn't go into the living room until we woke the parents up.
  3. Non flashing. I'd like them to twinkle, but I didn't realize when we bought our tree that the lights didn't have an option.
  4. I have Verizon and the ringtones are yours to keep. I've downloaded a couple of the real tones and you get to keep them.
  5. I can't pick one favorite, so I'll make a short list. I agree with most here in that Christmas Vacation is a great movie. Next would be Christmas Story. My husband and I were in Sears yesterday and we saw that they had a Christmas Story village. My husband wants to add that our holiday decorations now. I also love the original Miracle on 34th Street. It's a really sweet movie. I was always amused by Kris Kringle's employment card...specifically the part that said "Age: as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth". I also like Home Alone. That's sort of one of the newer classics. It gets played every year now. I'm going to also have to add "Elf" to my list. I've added that to my must see list during the Christmas season. I think I'll end my list now. I could go on forever!
  6. Growing up, my stocking stuffers were never wrapped.
  7. I'm a member of that message board too! To answer the question, I always intend to decorate the day after Thanksgiving, but I never to seem to make it that long. I usually end up putting the decorations up about two weeks into November. This year though, I will HAVE to wait until Thanksgiving. I will be moving the week before Thanksgiving. I won't be able to decorate until I get unpacked.
  8. I do! Christmas is really the only time I change my ringtones. I love Christmas so much that I try to fit something Christmassy everywhere I can during the Christmas season.
  9. I don't start wrapping until after Thanksgiving. That's the only time I'm really in the mood to start wrapping.
  10. I've done that before. I bought my husband something at Best Buy for Christmas and I got a free 10 dollar gift card with the purchase. I intended to put the gift card in his Christmas stocking and hid it in a drawer where I keep my craft stuff. I actually forgot that I even had the gift card until I was looking for something in my crafting supplies and came upon it a couple of days before Christmas. He probably wouldn't have gotten that card had I not been rumaging through my crafting stuff.

    boxes or bags

I prefer boxes. Boxes are a lot more fun to open and they are prettier under the tree.
  12. I usually come home wired after Black Friday...I typically finish whatever decorating needs to be done and then I may watch a few Christmas movies and wrap some gifts. I love Christmas.
  13. I want Friends, King of the Hill, Everybody Loves Raymond, Buffy, and Angel. I'm a TV on DVD junkie! I even have Sanford and Son on DVD.
  14. I don't do lay-away on Black Friday. When I shop on Black Friday, I just go ahead and buy whatever I came for.
  15. I always go with my husband...last year though, my mother and sister came along with us.
  16. I'm always done early, but I always stay out all day b/c my husband and I just like being out that day. I usually go somewhere like Wal-Mart in the morning and spend the rest of the day in the mall.
  17. LOL! That is too funny! I have an aunt who was the same way. Her gifts were always totally random and hoot to open. Not only were her gifts odd, but so was the wrapping. We would gather at my grandmother's for Christmas. Everyone would be there, but we would always have to wait for my Aunt. She would finally come in with the gifts in a garbage bag slung over her shoulder. She would take the unwrapped gifts out of the bag, put them in grocery bag and hand it to you as you watched her....sometimes, she'd just take wrapping paper and wad it around the gift. So, essentially, she would wrap your present and give it to all at the same time. It was hilarious...you just couldn't be mad at her b/c she's kind of scattered and eccentric....she eventually started giving money and it wasn't as fun any more. One year, she bought my sister this weird halter top with fringe...my sister was about 15 years old when she gave her that....she gave me a strange little hobo doll one year...I was in high school...I don't even know where she got that stuff. To answer the question though, I don't have any kids...but as child, I think I was pretty easy to please...my sister on the other hand was a different story..
  18. I guess this is a case of the 'grass is always greener on the other side'. The people who get snow regularly can do without it and the ones who never get it want it. I'm one of the ones who doesn't get it. I grew up in Mississippi and we would get snow once in a blue moon...I'm in Louisiana now and no snow. I want snow so bad!
  19. I'm from a small town, I could get to WalMart at 5:30AM and still get what I wanted. There would be a nice sized crowd, but nothing like you guys are talking about. This year though, I'm living in a larger city and it will be interesting to see what the crowds will be like. I'll get there earlier than usual just in case.
  20. I usually listen to the the Christmas music station or my own Christmas mix CDs.
  21. I don't have any kids, so my husband is first on my list. My Christmas shopping list is not very long. After my husband, I have 2 nieces, 1 nephew, my mother, my father, my sister, my mother-in-law, my two grandfathers, and we give cards to the rest of my extended family and friends. My husband and I tend to go overboard for each other, but I'm sure that will all change once we have children.
  22. Gas won't affect whether I go out or not. The mall is literally 3 blocks away, I have two Wal-Marts that are no more than 5 miles away a piece, and Target is just as close. The only thing I'm dreading is the traffic....it's going to be horrible.
  23. Our Wal-Mart is open 24/7, but they close Thankgiving night and open early the next morning for the sales.
  24. I think I'm the only one in the world without an iPod and I want one so bad...I'm hoping someone will have the older ones on sale since they just came out with the iPod Nano....I won't get my hopes up, but that would be great.
