I have never bought thier candles either. Not sure why because I used everything else from BBW. I will have to grab one the next time I am in there. -
That is an awesome deal Jim! We flew for around that this summer from DFW to LGA and that was the best to be found then. I wish Love field would have been open to NYC then. We love southwest!

What is your theme for your Christmas tree???
ms_mckenna replied to momof5plus1hubby's topic in 2006
I wanna see pictures of your two as well . My daughter decorated ours this year... it is very ummm hodge podge? I guess you have to give some things up as they get older lol. -
Poor baby ... imo 3 is way to young to find out. I was like 8 and I stopped believing... because my mom sat me down and tried to tell me what was and what was not real. I still have no clue what she was thinking. She never made it to Santa because I started bawling after the Easter Bunny but I had an idea after that he was not real. We had to go to my granma's Christmas Eve and did not get back till like 3 in the morning. I thought ha ah I have them, I will know once and for all . Well my dad pulled a fast one on me ... I later learned that our neighbors an older couple down the street had a key and came in and put Christmas out. I was SHOCKED when he had already put out my presents! It was the most memorable Christmas I have ever had and I didn't quit believing again till I was probably 11! And even then I still believed he just looked more like my dad than Santa .

I agree with what they said. I love love love that movie :)

LOL ya I would say that would be a good time to call it a night . No Christmas wrapping yet. We have been moving furniture deciding where we are going to put the tree. :)

Would have set more than just my phone alarm or not gone to bed at all Also would have not gone to Kmart.

Best ~~~> Best Buy was really happy with walking in late and still getting 90 % of what I wanted ... also gotta love bath and body works where else do you go that you have that many people helping out? Worst ~~~~> Would have to say it is a close tie with the major discount chains. Kmart had nothing and was set up just wierd and dirty as always. Target I have not been to in years because of lack of ad items. Walmart well Walmart is Walmart even on BF and the only thing they had going for them before was layaway and now that is gone. sigh
-
The TV I wanted at Best Buy. My nephew and his gf stayed at our house late last night so I was up with them and overslept this morning woke up at 20 till 5 ... I am lucky to got anything at all . Oh well DS will live another year with the tv he has now and I will get one next year. :)

Need ideas for 12 yo boy & 9 yo girl
ms_mckenna replied to hopeky94's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I have a 11 year old boy. I know you do not want to hear this but they are hard to buy for . He said wolf themed , what about going to the book store and getting some books about wolves? Maybe Call of the Wild? The girl I was thinking craft kits as well. They have tons at Walmart for under 10 and you can buy them at Micheals and use the weekly % off coupon on them. Remember to keep them very age appropriate because you never know how much supervision she has. If she is a girly girl what about bath and body works kinds of things? Also isn't this the age group for the American Girl stuff? I have no clue how much they are but you can probably pick up some books for a decent price. -
Send it to your local store instead of your home address and it is free.

ms_mckenna replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2006
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52. South wind between 5 and 10 mph. Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75 Thanks for the link it loads a WHOLE lot faster than all the rest of them! -
My mom and dad and others we have lost. Also not really fond of dealing with my Ex. It is the only time of year that I really have to deal with him ... or rather the lack of him. Kids get upset because he does not follow thru.

A lot of movies DH works in the oilfield so cheap movies are a great present for him. Either the 20 or the 24 Insignia tv to replace my sons tv. Noone thinks this is going ot be a ticketed item do they? Virgin moblie oster for DS. A few of the cheap CD's and POTC for PS2. Maybe the Midland 2 way radio and the Spanish Deluxe 2.0 not for sure yet.

I hate one per household. My kids are 2 years apart and when they first came out with Tickle Me Elmo I had to wait in line twice because of this rule. That is also when we figured out that if we stand in line together for something we don't act like we know each other till we get the item in hand. We have never had a problem when it comes to DD not being able to get what she wants. I do think it is EXTREMELY unfair to tell a 13 year old that has stood in line for 2 hours with everyone else they are not worthy enough to get whatever. If you do the time you should get the reward period. We have never had a problem but I would call my local store to make sure that things will work out the way you want. Be sure and get names of who you talk to too. I usually make sure she has enough money in her pocket to pay for whatever the item is if I take my child with me ... just in case.
