  1. LOL Timing is EVERYTHING! It is always amazing to me how quickly they want to "fix" everything when other customers are listening.
  2. Doesn't Simon mall do them without a fee? Not 100% but you might want to check there.
  3. crd2 25 off 250 that is the only one I know of expires at midnight tonight though. 12/10
  4. Jessica I would say if noone calls you tomorrow to cut your losses and head to the store Tuesday. Take the snowman back explain to them what happened. If they say something about not having the box explain nicely at first that you weren't under the impression that they sold crap and if this had not been crap you would not be bringing it back. . So you didn't have any reason to keep a box! If they say something about the screw holes explain to them you were trying to FIX thier product, if need be cause a scene. Course that is me I don't mind getting loud if they don't want to stand behind thier product. I would be highly dissapointed in them if they did not try and fix the situation. I hope they fix this for you. Let us know if there are any changes. Best of luck :)
  5. Hmmm I will have to pick one up for the kids to do this weekend. :) I saw one at WM tonight but I was in a hurry.
  6. It is adorable but ugh. Have you tried to take it back to the store? I have never dealt with trying to return stuff to them though.
  7. lol that is awesome Kandy. Sometimes people are so hard headed. Sad when you are trying to help them and they will not let you. Course I probably would not have complained to very much.
  8. Very cool! I love your disney tree topper. Where did you get him? The cowboy tree turned out really cute. Yesterday when we were in Atwoods they had really cheap cowboy ornaments and I thought of you. Someone was in the way looking but when I go back I will see if they have toppers. I love love love the grinch! Did you make the wreath or buy it? I may have to make one this weekend lol.
  9. That sounds really nice Pam. I am sure they will miss you greatly when you guys move.
  10. I have never made a gingerbread house always said I would but never have. Is it hard?
  11. Well don't feel alone. We have 5 gifts under the tree and that is all I have bought. Shhh don't tell the kids they would flip if they knew I had not really started yet. I will probably do everything next weekend. Probably mostly on line. We do have our tree up and I have been making teachers gifts which I REALLY need to get done.
  12. We kind of do the same thing. Everyones got thier own wrapping paper. And thier gifts are only in that wrapping paper.
  13. I love the idea of the milk bath! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Another post reminded me about aprons. We have in the past bought those plain aprons at WM and done the kids hand prints on them. Then when they were dry wrote thier name and age and worlds best "whatever they may be". Another things I did year before last for my brother in law that was moving out of town after Christmas. I took pictures of all the neices and nephews and printed them on iron on paper. Then put them randomly all over his apron.
  14. If you can paint in the lines you will be fine. Get one of the larger letter stencils and use a pencil or paint pen and trace out your words. Then fill them in with paint. Or retrace the outside of your letters with a slick type paint.
  15. Not sure but Walmart does have plain ones and you could paint whatever saying you wanted on them. :) Tht is what we always do.
  16. LOL I wish we had Tivo because DS would have been watching with us instead of wrestling. As it was I was not up for the fight tonight.
  17. Ok every year we do 2 things chex mix which DH makes and choc covered pretzles that I make. When I remember I buy canasters the day after Christmas or after they go on clearance at 75% off depending how frugal of a mood I am in and save them for the next year. I have forgotten a few years so here is what we did. This year we are doing the simba plates. I will use these for the base of the presents. Going to put the chex mix and the pretzles in seperate zip lock bags. Then on the plate and wrap in gold or black tulle (our school colors) and add curly ribbon to tie the tulle shut. Last year we put Chex mix in large mason jars. I cut circles out of Christmas fabric with decorative sissors and put the circles under the cap and tied bows around the mouth of the jars. For cards we made reindeer. Hand prints traced on thick brown scrapbook paper almost like card stock. Cut them out the thumb becomes the reindeers head dot on the end to make the nose we use slick paint but you can use a sequin or a puff ball, googely eye. The other four fingers become legs black paint on the ends for hooves. Pipe cleaner cut in half and twisted make the antlers you put them on with glue. Can also add other embellishments like a collar with sequins. http://familyfun.go.com/Resources/craftimages/1104_reindeerhand_img.jpg Not mine but same thing basically but I didn't do the tails. I know I have done others I just will have to think about it, and remember. :)
  18. I was laughing at my kids tonight rattling presents under the tree. One of my sons presents (a cell phone) I wrapped in the box from my husbands work boots he just bought. He swears it is a wrestling ring. Poor kid has yet to figure out anything he has under the tree so far, and nothing has been even remotely close. Sad thing is DD was with me and knows what he got but still has no clue what it is. Last year DD wanted a UT jersey and I folded till it fit in the smallest box I could find. She thought it was jewlery before she opened it. We have been known to wrap things in huge boxes that are very small. Add things like AOL disks to the box to throw off the sound it makes when it rattles. And wrap things in other boxes (like 12 packs of coke boxes). Wondering what does everyone else do? Or are we the only ones that really enjoy fooling the kids?
  19. We are watching Rudolf tomorrow night on ABC family. Just finished watching Jack Frost and watching Polar Express now. We have the DVD but still watching it lol. I keep checking for A Christmas Story! I am afraid I will miss it.
  20. For what it is worth I like the idea of the GC for the hotel. Since it will mean more coming from you. I feel for you on hard to buy for hubbies. You could have just described mine minus a few things. Had to laugh when I came to the part about Disney sounds so much like James.

  23. We do appetizer kinds of foods on Christmas eve ... something I have gradually added more and more too since I married my hubby. He and his brothers cook icky things for dinner that I don't eat lol. (chiterleans, pig ears, pigs feet, you get the idea ) Christmas day we have done the traditional thing for years. We may go different this year DH and I both admitted to each other we really are not that fond of turkey after Thanksgiving this year
  24. What are you making the shadow box out of? What scale?
