  1. OK so I bought the Dsi XL it isn't the Bronze one and it won't go with the starter kit I already bought but he'll get over that. YEAH, I was waiting for this to go on sale. Can't believe I got in on it.
  2. I don't have a question, just a suggestion to anyone thinking about ordering online. At the website you want to buy from go there now and set up an account. The servers will be overloaded that day and it will be hard enough to log into the site, let alone trying to set up an account. Also before you internet shop you may want to update your form filler (roboform) with your credit card info. When your done shopping delete it again. The quicker you submit your order the more likely you are to get it.
  3. I can't tell you what to do but the one year I had this type of decision I decided to buy him more gifts instead of the one big thing. He liked his Christmas but was very disappointed. It liked to killed me that I made the wrong decision.
  4. Man I was hoping to see it here tonight. Hopefully they will see the light soon. I understand why they do it but lets be honest in this day and age they could release it that morning and other stores could match or better their prices within minutes. Amazon proved that last year.
  5. I'm having trouble getting excited this year. I can't think of anything I need other then a DSI XL and I don't expect it to be on sale anytime soon.
  6. I keep looking for it myself. I don't think I would win but I really want to try again.
  7. It's not a problem here yet but I intend for my son's to take their stockings with them when they move away. I spent many, many, many hours cross stitching them so they would always have me with them at Christmas. Ok I plan to wait until they are responsible enough to keep them. I would hate to have them lose them. I've already bought replacements in a couple after Christmas sales.
  8. I've tried my text to speech but it sounds very robotic. I haven't really used it much because I prefer to read. It also isn't available on all their books due to copywrites.
  9. I don't know if this will help at all but here is a link to Amazon's free downloads for the Kindle. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&node=154606011&redirect=true&p_36=0-0 Can't remember where I found it but with 16,000 free items I think I'll have plenty to do for a while.
  10. Hot Topic really screwed up my order last year. I think I ended up losing about $13 on the deal and finally just chalked it up to a lesson learned. I won't buy anything from them again so they've lost more than $13 on the deal. I was spending upwards of $300 there just the during Christmas season. Now I just find it usually on Amazon just a little harder to get everything but worth the extra effort.
  11. I've had my son actually start his list. I may not be working so the sooner I can get the list and start buying the better.
  12. I got my DH iPod Touch and a set of router bits. He really doesn't need anything else.
  13. I've spent more than some but a lot less than normal. It is actually making me feel guilty not spending as much.
  14. I not only wrap everything, I do it as soon as I bring it in the house. My oldest is 18 and youngest is 11. They don't believe in Santa anymore, but do snoop a lot. Harder to find out what's there when it's wrapped.
  15. The star wars was General Grievous and it sold out in 20seconds.
  16. http://www.toysrus.com/helpdesk/index.jsp?display=store&subdisplay=contactis all I could find.
  17. I started at Old Navy at 2:30 this morning I was about 15-20 in line. Security drove by and stopped to tell us they weren't opening until 5 so off I go to Walmart. I didn't want any big ticket from there but got the electric blanket. I was able to checkout because it was an all day product. Out of there by 3:15. So I decide to get something to eat. Another mistake. Denny's, Ihop, and McDonalds were all packed so I drove around for a little while finally saw that Krispy Kreme opened early and no one was there. So I stopped there and got a donut and chocolate milk. I went back to Old Navy got back in line at 4:15. I was about 30 in line. At 5 security opened the mall doors and about 100 people bum rushed the door and wasn't anything those of us in line could do about it. There were a good 200 people in line. Security disappeared after they opened the doors. I emailed Old Navy about it. The game wasn't that important, I went for the fleece shirts and boys jeans. My problem with it is I'm not that far out from my back surgery and I was getting pushed and just about fell (had to take pain killers when I got home). Anyway got the jeans, shirts, and fleece sleeping pants and checked out quick. I was one of the first ready to check out because I wasn't browsing around the store. From Old Navy I went to Bath and Body Works got lots of body wash and the tote. I stopped at the Yankee Candle store and didn't buy anything, not much of a sale there. I ate a nice breakfast of pizza in the cafe court. Left the mall about 6:30 and went to Target to pick up a movie for my MIL, they had the pharmacy checkouts open for normal customer use. From there I drove across town to Home Depot and got 3 sets of the 60 batteries for $10 each. I saw that the Walmart next door wasn't as busy as the one I had been to earlier so stopped in to buy a couple things that I wanted but wasn't going to stand in line for. I got the Kodak camera, bakugan tin and corelle plates. I came home took my pain meds, called my surgeon about the pain (he said if no better by monday to come in for X-rays to check the fusion) and took a nap. I feel better now but still taking pain pills, I'm hoping it is better still tomorrow. Anyway aside from the Old Navy mess it was a good day. Wow didn't realize this post was gonna be forever long. Think I'll email the mall to and let them know about it.
  18. I'm not sure about any of the machines I just wanted to tell you what's happened here. In Southern Indiana our local Whirlpool/Maytag factory is closing it's doors. They said they were going to build them at an existing factory in Mexico. They are building a new factory in Mexico. They said it was too expensive to build them here and then announced 2 weeks later a new factory. Just wanted to get that out there for anyone that follows this type of thing.
  19. OMG didn't think it would ever be back up.
  20. I didn't think anything looked good enough to camp for either unless your looking for TV's. I hope someone comes out with an ad or ad supplement that makes it worthwhile for you Jim. I know you really enjoy the camping and neighbors and making new friends.
  21. Jim have you decided if your camping anywhere this year?
