It's been a little more hectic here the past couple of years. If you get there right when the store opens it's usually not too bad. I try to behave myself but I think I'll bring some cough drops with me this year. I usually get a sore throat from yelling "EXCUSE ME" to those people who insist on blocking the aisle and won't move.

I always go to target first. I think this year I'll wait for 75% off though. A few years ago I went to Toys R Us on the day they were marking all the Christmas stuff way down. I got holiday houses for 1.76 and tons of ornaments for less than .25 each. I've been trying to time it right the past 2 years and haven't been able to catch that sale again. Maybe this year.

That's what happened to me. I was about 9 and we were having Christmas at my grandma's house. I went into her bedroom and I saw lots of presents. The next morning I saw all of the same presents and nothing more. I remember being really disappointed but not surprised.

Someone already said it but I would recommend the leap pad. It's fun and educational. My daughter has had hers for years and she still loves it. They have many levels of books so the system grows with your child.

That is exactly why I don't shop there. I still look at their ad though. If something is a really good deal I take the ad to Meijer or Walmart for a price match.

I just got the full size cabbage patch kid at Toys R Us today for 12.95. Regularly 24.95 with their 12 days of Christmas coupon. They send different coupons to your email address every day for 12 days. There is a post on how to sign up if you're interested.

It must depend on which Victoria's Secret store you go to. Mine has only a few bras at 9.99. Most are around 19.99. But they do have good deals on their perfumes and makeup during the sale. Especially at the end of the sale when they mark the pj's and some other things an additional 50% off.

I think I would have skipped WalMart. The customers there are always SO rude! At least I know better for next year.

Toys R Us was amazing today. They are right next to my WalMart. I got there about 10 minutes before the stores opened and Toys R Us only had 10 people waiting outside. I got to Toys R Us at about 5:45 and it was nearly empty. I was able to find everything I needed and when I checked out I was second in line. It went very fast.

I went to Walmart this morning planning on getting the cabbage patch kid and a care bear. When I saw the care bears they were not what I was expecting. They weren't the furry type. They were made of fleece or something. They just seemed like they were a lower quality so I passed it up. Even though everyone was grabbing them they had about 50 left this morning. The cabbage patch kids went really quickly. They started out with a square stack about 4 feet high and when I left the stack was about 2 dolls high.

I price matched at Meijer with no problem. I got Welcome to Mooseport for 3.44 instead of 9.99 and a bratz baby for 5.87 instead of 8.99.

I'm glad that I'm not in a hurry this year. The only thing I'd really like to get is the Cabbage Patch at WalMart. I'm not leaving until 4:30. I might have to make it a little earlier though. I just checked the weather and we're getting about 6" of snow tonight. At least it will be warmer than this morning, it was 10 degrees at 6:30 but with the wind chill it felt like 0. Tomorrow it will be around 20 degrees. Oh how I would love to live in Florida!

I can't believe that it's not even BF and everyone is already so angry. I thought the whole point of this is to have fun. I think this year I will be taking turns staying warm in the car with the people I go with. Two years my sister stayed in the car awhile then joined me about 15 minutes before the doors opened. Nobody had a problem with that. It was so cold that everyone tried to huddle together to stay warm. Maybe it's because of where we live. I have noticed when I travel to other areas attitudes change.

When I was there yesterday they had a huge display just inside the door. Tons of bratz makeover doll heads and the nighty night bratz dolls. They weren't marked on sale though. Unfortunately I didn't think to scan them.

My paper had the Kmart and Meijer Thanksgiving ads only. No BF ads yet.

I was at Wal Mart tonight and they had a print out posted by all of the registers that said they would be price matching on BF. They also had pictures of some items like the portable dvd player and it said $68.xx, it listed bratz wild west dolls for $9.00, and many other things cheaper than the walmart ad. I bought some items early and will bring my receipts to those stores for a price adjustment but I think I'll take my other ads to walmart and do the price matching.

I get all ready the night before. Make-up, hair done, shower, I even sleep in my clothes. When I get up I just brush my teeth and go.

I'd be happy to trade places with you. I'm in Michigan. We got 10 inches of snow Wednesday night and I don't think that it has stopped snowing since. I can't even leave the house today since I don't have 4 wheel drive. I took my daughter to school this morning and it took me 10 minutes to make it up the hill to our house. I'll have to have a friend take me to pick her up today. I can't wait for all this snow to go away! Maybe it's just time for me to move south.

I was just there tonight. I was looking for the care bears and cabbage patch babies that will be on sale on BF to put them on layaway. I couldn't find the care bears anywhere. I found the care bear cubs but not the regular bears. I figured maybe they put them away for BF.

I'm in Traverse City. I think I will call again today. They did the price matching last year so hopefully the person I spoke to was wrong.

I just called my local Meijer store and asked if they're price matching on BF. I was planning on taking all of my ads there so I didn't have to wait in line out in the cold at the other stores. I did that for a couple of things last year. They told me that they would only match the weekly ads not the doorbuster or one day only ads. I was sooo disappointed. Has anyone else checked their Meijer store?

I like epinions.com for ratings and reviews on almost anything.

Me too. I got a ton of it last year. It saves so much money. I bought about 15 rolls and saved over $50. I like to have a big variety of paper.

I think Toys R Us usually gets them in too.

I've also seen people stand in the basket part of a shopping cart and reach for something on a high shelf. Even if you have someone holding onto the cart for you you could still step the wrong way and fall. No deal is worth that.
