Thank you. I had it stuck in mind as Lowe's.

Sears carries Vizio & a 32" will run you $599.99. List is $649.99, but Circuit City & Costco who regularly carry the same model have it at $599.99 & Costco extends the warranty from the original one year to 2 years at no extra charge. Kmart & Walmart also carry Vizio, a slightly different model at $597- $599.99 for 32". I have no idea if they will go on sale for bf. GL Kristy

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there was a bigger problem with Lowe's last year. I don't know about tools, but wasn't there a television...........maybe lcd advertised that people lined up & waited for only to find out there were none available? Supposedly, employees were aloud to by them before customers who lined up waiting for the store to open. I also think the stock was very limited (under 5 per store). Am, I wrong? Wasn't it Lowe's that did this? I will not be wasting my door buster time there.

>>> Official Black Friday TV / HDTV Discussion Thread <<<

I don't think so. Target usually has some good ones on ad before Christmas & not necessarily on bf for around $88. I got one for my husband 2 Chrismas' ago for his shed. It's a 20" Memorex I think & it works great. They had a good amount of stock too, it was just in their normal Sunday ad on the cover. HTH Kristy -
I have a Vizio in my family room & love it. It's got a Ps3, Wii & surround sound hooked up. It looks & sounds great. Changing my PS3 over to HDMI took a little work, but no biggie. Now I just need a deal to upgrade my satelite DVR receiver. I am already a directv customer, so I haven't found any deals. If anyone knows how I can get an HD/ DVR receiver from them for under $299 I'd be greatful:) Kristy

$500.00 to spend on new TV
mamapenguin replied to mominthepark's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I like Vizio LCD. It's got great reviews. You can get a 26" for under $500. I am getting a 32" for $597 next week for my bday (Thanx Dad). I know nothing about HDTV/Analog change. I doubt tv will change that swiftly, it would alianate most of America. -
Hannah Montana Concert Code
mamapenguin replied to dorselfin's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I have read that the presale tickets go fast, so if you go to the trouble of joining to get a presale code use it as soon as you're aloud to. I thought about it, but it was kind of quirky for my venue: not handled by ticketmaster. I ended up just buying them on line by being on line the minute they went on sale. I ended up with good seats & I needed 4. GL Kristy -
Why are they still so hard to find? I really don't get it. I got mine on launch at midnight (I waited about 3 hours), but I thought by now for sure they'd be everywhere. GL Kristy

TracFone 1 year service - way to get most units?
mamapenguin replied to cjs9473's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Does it have to br tracphone or just prepaid? I use TMobile prepaid & have for about 2 years. You can get a phone for $29.99 off the TMobile site & if you buy a $100 card it's good for 1000 minutes that don't expire for a year. Kristy -
I was told that you have to have your DVR plugged into a phone line. I have Directv & love it. Our other receivers are not connected to a phone line. Can anyone confirm if the DVR must have a phone line or not? Kristy

I don't know where you are, but in Oregon the public schools don't have the budget for that. Granted even our elementary schools have the students use them in school. Is that what you meant? There's a big difference between giving them one & allowing them to use them during school. If your talking private schools, they don't GIVE you anything, you pay for it one way or another. That being said, my son attends a Charter school for half the week & is studying programming & networking. He is not required to have one, they have plenty at school. He just bought one because he wanted one. Don't forget Word, whatever you do. A laptop is useless at school without it. So whatever you get needs some sort of Office software with Word. Without it you cannot open up things from or at school because they'll be in word format. I would talk to the school, if they require a laptop it probabaly has minimum specs. You'll need a carrying case as well. Kristy

frys.com has this as well as Fry's B&M if you have them. HP DV6110 $699.99 after $50 rebate. So $749.99 out the door. I know it's at the top of your budget, but I think it's a good deal. AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology Super Multi 8X DVD?R/RW with Double Layer Support 15.4" WXGA High-Definition BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800) Display NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (UMA) with up to 128MB (shared) 1024MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) 100GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA) 802.11b/g WLAN Microsoft ® Windows ® XP Media Center Edition Windows ® Vista VistaTM TM Premium Ready PC http://shop3.outpost.com/product/5008345;jsessionid=q9vFLvIf7sHjngKZkFBiRA**.node3?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG That'll play City of Villans & run vent. I don't know exactly what you meant by "games". My son has the Compaq version & paid $50 more for it a week ago. Kristy

Prepaid phone, T-Mobile or Virgin?
mamapenguin replied to ken9455's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I vote TMobile. I have it & my son has Virgin mobile, but he mostly uses it for TM. If you buy the TMobile $100 prepaid card you get 1000 minutes that do not expire for 1 year. NO other prepaid plan by anyone beats that. If anyone knows of one post it with a link. There's no daily charge either, no long distance or roaming fee. Kristy
