Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06
linda050103 replied to Gator Pam's topic in Offline Hot Deals
My target didn't have much on clearance this morning. Just the outdoor Christmas decor and the trees and those red boxed gift sets of glasses and barware. I'm hoping that after Christmas I can rack up on some cheap toys and other items. Anyone know when the toy markdown goes to 75%?? Thanks! -

Sounds like Cadoo that's part of the Cranium games. Target usually carries it. I would buy it at my local store instead of buying online just to avoid ridiculous shipping charges. Good Luck!! -
Amazon.com - anyone else fed up these guys?

See Spot Save used to be The Dollar Spot. Its the section in the front of the store with all of the dollar items. They have also added items for 2.50 now.

I too noticed that Walmart was definitly not as busy this year on BF. Last year, it was crazy. There were so many people gathered around the BF pallets that they put out that you couldn't even get a cart through there. This year, there was barely anyone crowded around the pallets. In my opinion, their "sales" have been bad all year and as for being the cheapest, I don't really think they were. I agree that in November, they dropped the prices on some things but Target's sales have put Walmart to shame. I just don't see how dropping prices and not advertising it does any good. Commercials are great but I agree that a paper ad is the most effective way this time of year.

Since she swims, maybe some cute little Nike flip flops? You can usually get them at your local sporting goods store. It doesn't seem like she's really girly but if she is, maybe a day at your local spa/hair salon. (A haircut, manicure, pedicure) You can usually buy gift certificates so she could go with her friends. Movie ticket gift certificates are always a good idea.

clever gift card wrapping ideas
linda050103 replied to mileatime's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Walmart has the ornaments you can put on the tree and put the gift card inside. You could hide the ornament on the tree and wrap a note saying to look through the tree for the gift. You could also wrap them in a picture frame. Then your kids can use the picture frames for their pictures plus they have a gift card. I really like the idea of wrapping it with a cheap item from the store, like socks, underwear, etc. -
do you know if it will be available online? My TRU is an hour away

When I was in high school, we bought Blow Pops by the box and sold them at the football/basketball games for 0.25 each. We would sell out! We also dealt with Krispy Kreme. Once a year, we would take orders for their doughnuts (which are so yummy) and make 50% profit from the sales. That went over great. There were girls on my team that sold over 100 boxes. When I was selected to go to Europe for cheerleading, we taught cheer camps. That racked in a lot of money!! -

Gotta buy shoes for Christmas and they are the only place I can find them. The shoes are 74.99 and I was hoping I could find a discount! THanks!!

I can't imagine them putting items on clearance just because they were on layaway. Especially if the item is still stocked on the shelves for regular price
