  1. I have Vonage and use it for my home office. It works great and has no issues. The whole 911 issue is not a problem anymore. In fact it is now a hassle due to the lawsuit. You have to verify your address several times and acknowledge several times that you understand how it works. But for the price and the features you can't beat it. If you can get it as a package deal through your cable co go for it if the price is right.
  2. Keep in mind all that Sears doesn't manufacture any of their appliances. They strike deals with the major manufacturers, add some unique features and put the Kenmore name on it. (Check this site out: http://www.applianceaid.com/searscodes.html) Sears prides themselves on their tools and appliances and has higher quality standards then most. However, working in manufacturing, I can tell you no matter how much quality control there is a lemon gets out every now and then. Problem is people always remember the negatives and never the positives.
  3. I have had nothing but great experiences from Sears. All of my appliances are from Sears and are also Kenmore. I did have a problem with a microwave and got absolutely nothing but attitude from the saleswoman. I demanded to speak with a manager and told him that all my appliances were from Sears, as well as my tools. He apologized, explained to me that salespeople don't get paid much anymore and come and go like the wind. Not only did he replace my micro, he gave me the next model up for my trouble. No matter who you are dealing with, if you aren't happy, ask to speak to someone higher up. One time I had an issue with Sprint and eventually got up to an assistant to the CEO! As long as it is a legitimate complaint, stand your ground. Not to play devils advocate, but too many people take advantage of return policies. While I agree that something needs to be done to to fix a W&D that is a lemon, it wasn't fair to return a fridge to Sears that was scratched up from forcing it into an opening where it wouldn't fit and get a full refund. Just my two cents.
  4. Hard to believe Xmas stuff is still out there!
  5. I am tempted to go and see if my Sams has one - a nice 42" LCD in the bedroom sounds like a great idea! If only my wife would agree!
  6. Well I wound up buying the one from Frys.com and it is a great laptop for the money. Appreciate all the help as always!
  7. Sorry you still can't find it! I haven't seen it online or at any B&M stores. Sorry!
  8. Yep, soon they will be tetrabytes - just look at the main gottadeal page! There is one listed!
  9. The Garmins are nice and I considered buying the Nuvi 360, however during the holidays, TomTom was running a $100 rebate so I wound up buying the TomTom Go910 for $424 after rebate. The unit is great and with the new mount and updated maps it is just as good as the Nuvi (a friend of mine has one). Plus for $100 less than the 360, I wound up getting something comparable to the Nuvi 660. Unfortunately, the rebate is no longer available, but wanted to let you know of another model to consider. The Garmin/TomTom debate is as bad as the Ford/Chevy debate!
  10. These things are always selling used in the local classifieds. Kids grow up, people move, etc. and people will practically give them away if you are able to go and take it apart to move it. I know several people that saved a lot of money doing this. If you are handy you may want to check it out.
  11. I work in an industry that I need to dress business casual but always get crud on my clothes. Kohls is good when they have their clearance sales but also check Sams Club. Also, above are good suggestions as well.
  12. Ahhh.....soon there will be enough Wii's for all!
  13. So what do you like the best, Borders or Barnes and Noble?
  14. Follow this link: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=49670 It lists who is getting what when
  15. My dear cousin picked one up for me at CC on Sunday so I now have my Wii! The sports disk is a blast as a previous poster said. The wii defintiely lives up to the hype. Plus as Nintendo was hoping, its engaging all types of people, just ask my inlaws! Good luck to you all! I can finally stop looking at this post!
  16. Anyone going to Best Buy this morning??
  17. Borders bought WaldenBooks awhile ago. Some were even renamed as Borders Express. Maybe they are closing the ones that are unprofitable or too close to a Borders store.
  18. Are there any catches for signing up at this website? What are the 5 free gifts you get for registering?
  19. Thanks all!
  20. Ok...I am looking for a reasonably priced laptop that I can connect wirelessly with, play some basic games, maybe watch a DVD, and thats about it. I don't want to spend more the $700. Any ideas where I should look? Should I buy at B&M or online? Thanks,
  21. From one guy to another, Ihope you find them! No matter what it costs, it will be a deal for you!
  22. Usually items like this can be found pretty easy by now after the holidays. Looks like Nintendo didn't realize the demand that the Wii would have!
  23. If they won't accept a competitors check design I would look for a new bank! As long as they meet the industry standard, have your account and routing number listed, there's no reason why they shouldn't take them.
  24. Been on RC and it was awesome. There was plenty to do for all ages (putt putt on the ship was great!) and the crew was top notch. Never been on Carnival so can't comment on their services.
  25. Another person that didn't know! My wife and I were just talking about how we had to order checks soon!
