Home Decorators /outlet......what a joke,
DaveL replied to abentley's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
No offense to Mark but the resellerratings website lists Buy.com as one of the worst stores to deal with. I never had an issue with them and in fact would highly recommend Buy.com. I have never dealt with this store but sometimes things just go wrong. (smander74, be sure to comment on your experience. ) If you are that unhappy, call your credit card company. They should be able to help! -
Yep, the sale is this Sunday....sign up for the buzzclub and you will receive the coupon as well.

The laptop deals will come in another month or so when the back to school sales start. We got an awesome deal last year.

Lowe's usually puts the Olympic paint on sale. I love the Olympic paint, better than the Behr, but its all personal opinion I guess.

Never been on a train, but with these deals may try it out! Thanks

I don't think my card will support it. I have the nVidia GEForce2 mx/mx400 which I am pretty sure won't support 1440x900. I would say that I would update the card, but I am planning on building another system in a few months and want to put my money into that. Oh well, I am sure they will continue to drop in price.

I am doing the same thing....using the component at home and the A/V that came with the Wii for travel. There is a slight difference, worth it for $8, not $20.

I used Google Checkout! :) Allowed me not to give them my email.

Meritline.com has the Wii Component Cable for $8.99 with free standard shipping! This is a great deal considering Best Buy and Circuit City sell 'em for $29.99. In researching Meritline.com they seem to be a good merchant, just sometimes slow to ship. I went ahead and ordered one for myself. To play Wii in 480p isn't worth $30 but I am willing to pay $9! Thought I would pass it on to all you other Wii owners. http://www.meritline.com/480-p-hd-component-cable.html

The Panasonic I was refering to was a Plasma not LCD. If you search enough about LCD's you will see all manufacturers had issues when they first came out. It's the price that you sometimes pay for adopting new technology. My info came from CR and they show good reliability on most new LCDs and Plasmas that are currently out.
-
I would go with an LCD or Plasma and there are a lot of deals out there right now for ones 32"+ that are sub $1000. I have a rear projection and wish I bought an LCD or a Plasma. The one that Consumer Reports consistently rank high is the Panasonic 42" THX-42PX60U. Its a great TV and costs slightly above $1000 with shipping. I had both my parents and my wife's parents buy this TV when they asked for a recommendation (mainly based on the CR rating). Right now Circuit City has it on sale for $1199 but you can find it at some other online retailers for even cheaper. Hope that helps with the decision. Good luck!

Go look in the Technology forum. There are several threads discussing this topic.

I was gonna say, these big box stores wouldn't give up that much margin on everything! Especially Home Depot with it being springtime!

Wii Play for Nintendo Wii (w/ Bonus Wii Remote) - $47.99 Shipped @ Buy.com
DaveL replied to Brad's topic in Online Hot Deals
So does anyone have this yet? Worth getting it for the games or just for the remote? -
The one from Sams Club is awesome but its $1100!!! I have been looking in the local classifieds for a deal but haven't found one.
-
Explain your situation to the front desk clerk, they do have the authority to reduce the rate. I don't think they will take it down as far as $50 but you could probably get it for $75. These days thats a good deal for a hotel room.
-
I have been looking for some lower priced games but haven't found many. I refuse to pay $50 for a game. Wait long enough and they will go down. Course I did spend the money to buy a Wii but it was well worth it. Its a great game console. Glad I didn't get the Xbox or PS3.

Had to buy an ink cartridge for my printer to get the free shipping - it must be over $25 to qualify. -
Any new great staples deals out there?
DaveL replied to rennakay's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Nope, but they do have good deals if you can catch em!
