Avoid Maytag front loaders!!! They have been a nightmare and the issues are documented on the web. Consumer Reports recommends the Whirlpool and Kenmore models. By the way, Whirlpool makes the Kenmore!

We have both Tivo and a cable box DVR. (The Tivo has lifetime but we wanted HD so we have both). The Tivo is so so much easier to use. You can record to a DVD if you use the Tivo server software on your computer and hook the Tivo to your network. (Look online there are several places that show you how to do it) You can't transfer shows off the cable version. Tivo really is a great service. If the HD version wasn't so expensive I would dump the cable box in a heartbeat. By the way our cable co charges $14 per month for their crummy DVR.

They should have released it in phases, probably overloaded the system because I tried earlier this morning (I use Wii to check the weather in the morning and read the msg) and I had an issue earlier.

For 48.88, its one of the larger digital cameras out there. Can you find a cheaper one that kids can use? I still think it is a pretty good deal. The megapizels are 1.2 which isn't great but should be fine for 4x6 photos.

We have had our wii since they first came out and haven't had a problem. jmjj - The sensor bar does have a thin cable that could easily break (however my 2 yr old has pulled it down numerous times and it still works). The kicker though is that the sensor bar costs about $10 to replace and the warranty for 3 yrs is $40. So if the cable does break and you replace it, you are still ahead $30. Extended warranties are rarely worth it. Usually if it needs repair more than once, most people want to get rid of it anyway. Save your money and don't buy it.

We have so many kids come to our house that if you get 12 for $1 it would be worth it!
