  1. This was an awesome deal. I picked up three games Saturday afternoon. I got lucky and just happened to be shopping. I didn't even know about the sale because there were no signs up but one of the employees happened to come by and tell me about it. Usually they really limit your selection but it looked like you could get just about anything under the promo. I now wish I had gotten some more for christmas. Even better would be if they ran this deal early december after the new wii games are released. It will save me a bundle since the kids already have a bunch on the wishlist.
  2. I bought three games last week when they had the sale here. Usually it seems like when they do that they limit it to only certain games but I was surprised to see everything, even the newest games were buy 2 get1 free. I didn't see the deal until Saturday and now that I think about it, I should have bought more for Christmas. Do you think they will repeat this again?
  3. Last week Best Buy had a Toshiba laptop for $349. It had 80gb, 512mb ram, 15.4" screen, dvd burner and a 1.6 Celeron processor. Not great specs but if you are looking for a laptop just to web surf or for a kid, the price is right. Toshiba makes good laptops and for less than $50 you can always go back and add more ram. I picked one up for my niece who wanted one for school. The best part is no lines. Just walked in around noon on Sunday and was out fifteen minutes later with a new laptop for $368 after tax.
  4. Not really particular about brand or size, price is my biggest thing. I just need something to take jogging with me.
  5. I saw a lot of great deals but hardly anything has free shipping any more. I had about $75 worth of stuff in my cart ready to proceed but shipping was like another $60 so I decided to hold off. I wonder if the physical stores are planning a big sale like this as well.
  6. I still can't get over how slow the rebuilding process after Katrina has been. The government is just dissapointing me big time on this one. I have a relative living there and they still haven't reopened all the hospitals. It is a real shame.
  7. Do any of the companies offering game rentals rent computer games as well or just ps2, xbox, gamecube?
  8. Also, if you have a Sears Outlet near you, it is worth going in there. Last time I was in there were literally dozens of the front loading, energy star w/d. Some have a scratch on the top or back and others are just odd colors. Price varies but I saw plenty in great shape with just minor cosmetic flaws that you don't really notice for $400-$500. These retail for twice that new. Also, you can pick up the pedastools there as well. I know it seems a lot of money for those but trust me it is well worth it.
  9. That is too bad that you've had a bad experience with Toshiba. I can't speak on the very latest models but I bought a p4 toshiba notebook 2 years ago and have had no issues with it what so ever. Back when I bought mine, Toshiba was one of the leaders in laptops. I have noticed that there prices have been lowering on newer models so perhaps they are using cheap parts to bring down costs. That is a real shame. Did you have an extended warranty from the place of purchase? In a lot of cases it doesn't seem worth it to buy a $300 warranty on a $500 computer but I have found that extended warranties at an electronics store are some times easier to get service and repairs handled then having to go through the manufacturer.
  10. This is an awesome price. I hope tru online will get more in stock this week but I seriously doubt that happening. My tru only had 15 and they sold out within an hour. The guy I talked to said one guy bought 5 of these packages though (I'm guessing to resell on eBay). I kinda wish they had a limit of maybe two on deals like this but I can't complain for being late. I completely forgot about the earlier holiday store hours though.

  12. I think this has a lot to do with ebay taking over paypal. It amazes me how much more expensive ebay is now than when it started. I used to use it a lot but now hardly ever.

    Cut in line...

Last year at best buy this happened to me. I was set to get the $200 computer they had when at the last minute the guy in front of me brings over five other people who were all getting pcs. When I got up to the front they said they had run out of the $200 package. I explained my case to the guy there and even got one of the managers over there because I was frankly upset. I wasn't yelling or cursing but I let them know that what happened was unacceptable. Miraculously one of the managers went to the back and five minutes later came back saying they had 10 more of the $200 pc packages availble so I got one. Its not the best computer but its cheap and does all I need.
  14. The TRU by me used to price match during the rest of the year but the past two BF they had signs saying we will not pm. Target did pm when they first opened in my area years ago but they haven't in a long time. Target does have a policy where you can adjust the price if you say you saw a lower priced sign and it is within a certain dollar amount. Just don't say you are price matching.
