I have ordered from them close to 10 times now and I think you have nothing to be nervous about. From my experiences, they do take a long time to respond to emails and a long time to ship, but I will continue to order from them. I am waiting for an order from them too and I'm not worried in the least. There's still 2 weeks before Christmas left. My guess is that they just are extremely busy.

How do your kids know how much Johnny down the street got? It's not like Johnny keeps all of his presents from Santa together in a pile and shows other kids everything that he got? Don't kids ask eachother "what did you get for christmas?" and then just name off a couple of things and not their entire list?

the one at alpine & harrison has been taking them, I haven't tried it at any of the others, and I do buy more than those 2 things and of course have other coupons, the register has been taking the free one off at the very end after all your coupons

If you call - allowing customers that arrived about 15 minutes before they opened to shove and push customers that had been waiting almost an hour, out of the way so that they could get into the store first and mob the store, even after they got phone calls from those of us standing in line telling them that we were concerned about this happening again and letting it happen again anyways - good customer service, then Menards has great customer service! Shopping carts impossible to pull out because of the mob of people, employees telling you items were in one place when they were in fact somewhere else, and people climbing over things to get into the store first. And all of this after I personally sent an email about 2 months ago and phoned the store 10 minutes before they opened asking if they were going to do something about it this year. Obviously we had 2 completely different experiences at our Menards! It's good to know not all Menards are like the one here which is why the rest of the year I do most of my shopping at Lowes or Home Depot which are both further away from my house.

They sell a smoothie maker for just that, I got my son one a couple years ago, it was around the same price as a blender but specifically made for smoothies & chopping ice

call the tv company first and see what they say, kmart shouldn't give you a hassle but if they aren't getting any more of them in they may return it and not be able to get you another one, and make sure you keep all of the packaging

You only need your receipt to get a price adjustment.

Use one of those oven bags to cook the turkey in & you don't have to keep basting and the turkey comes out perfect every time!

I have seen the ad at my CVS behind the counter for the next weeks sale several times on a Saturday and asked the cashier to see it and they always tell me that it's illegal to show me the ad on Saturday because the sale doesn't start until Sunday. And they actually use the word "illegal". Which I think is funny! Before I moved to Rockford I lived outside Chicago and the "early edition" Sunday papers are delivered on Saturday by 12 noon to all of the stores. I went into a gas station here on a Saturday evening and asked for the Sunday paper and they acted like I was stupid and told me that it wasn't Sunday, it was Saturday, complete with the eye roll. I didn't even bother trying to explain that I knew what day it was! Conclusion: So you can get a Sunday paper, with all of the ads on a Saturday if you live near or in Chicago, but if you live in Rockford it's illegal for you to see an ad on a Saturday! Who have you been arguing with?

And I want to add that if you need tape and toothpaste, those are good deals, they're just deals that they run all the time was what I meant. And Walgreens is my last stop every year right before I go home and they always have had plenty of everything still in stock!

I called a friend this morning that works at Target and she didn't call back right away & I was going to Target anyways so I asked and was told yes they will adjust the price as long as you come in and do it when the item is on sale. She told me that if I knew it was going to be on sale that I should do buy it today. After I bought the only thing that I needed to go to Target for on BF, my friend called back and said that they got an email that they have to do it if anyone asks because it is their policy to do price adjustments as long as it's within 14 days and even on BF.

Actually layaway is financial control, it's pretty much the same as putting money away and saving it for Christmas, you've just picked out the presents beforehand instead of afterwards so you know your exact budget instead of estimating how much you will spend. And you're not using credit cards for your (large) purchases which really is the end result / definition of being in financial control.

I think you can use a raincheck on bf, just not get one. If they are offering something free on bf with the purchase you should still be able to get it.

I just checked several and they all worked fine.

In Rockford comcrap has that option with their cable service (we have 2 of them in our house), I think the satellite companies have them too now, and there's always Tivo as the poster above said.

I don't know if I'd do a $13 gift card. Asking each person if they wanted a ham or a turkey is a really great idea. Or 2 movie tickets to a local theater per person, that's about how much 2 movie tickets are around here. I'd think you'd have to call the grocery store or movie theater ahead of time and make sure they can accommodate and give them a heads up.

They ALWAYS have really cheap blankets, wrapping paper, candles, throw rugs and great prices hand tools, dvds, toys, some sort of electronics, batteries

I feel the same way!!!! I convinced a friend of mine to meet me at Kohls last year (& she actually got there before me) and wants to go again this year - and then go out for breakfast - and I'm like "but there's other stores to go to!" That's why I will never drive with anyone else when they ask. I have an older son and he gets it, I trained him well! He will go to one store while I'm at another, or get in line for me while I'm shopping, or grab stuff for me while I'm in a line, or we both separate and split up in a store...
