  1. expressso is NOT the same as those coffee pods I don't think I've seen one of those pod coffee makers for under $100
  2. why would you pay $1 shipping for a gift card when you can pick up pretty much any gift card at grocery stores or walgreens for free?
  3. If you don't bring them with you when you shop you can't spend them. I put mine away all year and leave them in a drawer until BF, that way I'm never tempted to use them. And when they are for stores like BB or TRU I don't shop there that often anyways unless it's BF or maybe someones birthday. So far I have over $150 in Menards rebates saved up to use on BF and over $40 in Old Navy rewards with more on the way. The Menards ones will be hard not to use before then!
  4. I try to convince my mil every year to let me shop for her & buy my kids gifts or to let me take / help her shopping for them and if she tells me the budget I could get way more than she does (and things they will actually use) but she never takes me up on it. One year my daughter cut the picture of exactly what she wanted with the store name and the name of the item... and she got her a similar item but it was more a toy for a toddler than a 9 year old girl... Last year among my daughters gifts was a dollar store Barbie doll, she hasn't played with barbies for a few years. The clothes are always the wrong sizes. We either end up donating or returning most of the gifts, and my kids have learned to say thank you and smile... maybe jaymacfla will be shopping for others And back to the original question: bad economy + husband not working for quite a while + son getting married in November = definitely cutting back for Christmas!
  5. Either online or in the store? What did you get?
  6. why do they do that? especially 3 different prices in the same day...
  7. I was dusting the shelf where my cd's are yesterday and I looked at them and thought about it for a second, but I said no to myself and didn't do it.

  9. This would be a very dangerous thing to do, right when pallets are opened everyone rushes in and may not see a small child or realize that she has been pushed and shoved and I think it would be very scary for an 8 year old. People in lines are nice and friendly, but when doors open or pallets are unwrapped it's everyone for themselves and everyone rushes in to get what they want. I have been towards the front of many lines over the years and you always get shoved when the doors open no matter how they try to control the lines. I took my 10 yr old daughter to $1 flip flops at Old Navy a couple years ago (she was 8 then) and learned my lesson the hard way, she got smooshed and shoved and still remembers it to this day, no one was careful around her and didn't care that they were shoving a little girl. Use the next 2+ months to figure out babysitting (family or having the kids sleep over at friends houses) for the kids. Ask friends, maybe someone will watch your kids if you do some of their BF shopping for them while you are out. Maybe you can babysit for someone else now and you can trade with them so they watch your kids on BF. Is there an older relative (cousin) that can sleep over and watch the kids while you go out?
  10. I don't even like bringing my kids grocery shopping with me. My daughter is 10 now and asked to go with this year but I'm too worried that she'd get hurt, people push and shove adults and bump you with carts... Plus you have to worry about if they get hungry and going to the bathroom, getting lost / separated from you...
  11. Yesterday school supplies and backpacks were 30% off here and there weren't nowhere near as many backpacks as there usually is, lunch boxes were 50% off.

  13. I actually got the 30% off on my catalog in the mail today! I was just coming to post it. I keep telling my husband to get a Kohls card so we get double coupons / better chance of getting 30% off... Is it wrong that I won't shop there without a coupon? Obviously I'm not the only one, and I love the free shipping codes, I can shop from my house.
  14. http://www.amazon.com/DigiPro-WP5540-Graphics-Tablet-Cordless/dp/B000GLQZJI this?
  15. Are you just talking about one of these? There's good deals on these posted in the deals forum all the time. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?228084-New-MID-706-Google-Android-2.2-7-quot-Touchscreen-Tablet-PC-84.95-ebay.com
  16. how about http://1saleaday.com/ ? and http://www.savemore.com/DailyDeals/National/3580/24_Worth_of_Children%E2%80%99s_Accessories/?utm_campaign=24_Worth_of_Children%E2%80%99s_Accessories&utm_medium=email&utm_source=National ?
  17. I'm waiting to buy something too until there's a 30% off & free shipping codes...
  18. All the summer clearance was 75% off yesterday. I saw it was 50% off last Sunday and wish that I would have checked back during the week because the stuff I wanted was all gone!
  19. They sometimes have deals where you get a giftcard if you purchase an ipod, check Target & Best Buy's ads. I had a friend that didn't buy her ipod shuffle from Apple and took it to the Apple store to get it fixed because it was broke and they took it and gave her a new one, she said their customer service was awesome.
  20. Unfortunately there's a few things that I have to get there too sometimes
  21. That's funny that some of they are $14.88 and some of them are $114.99 great find!
  22. Our Walmarts are all pretty bad too, and I rarely shop there (their prices aren't great and their checkout lines are too long). In the past they haven't always been coupon friendly. Now that the kids are back in school maybe I'll try it. I wish they'd bring back their "if there's more than 3 people in line we will open another register" policy! And why do their cashiers have to talk and talk and talk to every customer no matter how long the lines are? There's no sense of "I need to hurry" in any of them.
  23. But the commercial said that they price match stores with shoppers cards, in the past they wouldn't match CVS because you needed a shopper card to get to get the low price. Has anybody tried to price match a store and an item that you have to have a card to get the sale price?
