  1. SURELY not the regular F&F-- at least I sure hope not!
  2. My fave BF memory (that comes to mind right now at least!) is last year at WM. My "gotta-have" item was the 500 TC sheet set for $20 for my king bed. Well, another lady was at the display with me, waiting for it to be unwrapped, but right before time she found out about the MP3 players being closeby in the former layaway area. I mentioned wanting one of those too, so in true die-hard shoppers' style, we worked out a dea: I grabbed the color/size sheets she wanted, while she grabbed an extra MP3 player for me! It was crazy trying to get to her once the chaos started, but it was fun and very worth it-- I love both of my items!! :) Thanks for the survival kit contest, BTW!!
  3. Another suggestion I've seen that's similar to the "12 days of Christmas" is doing a small gift for every letter of the alphabet. I originally saw that suggested for a baby shower, but I think it would be just as much fun as a Christmas gift! :) BTW, wldfire68-- do you happen to remember what gifts you and your brother did for the rest of the "days of Christmas"? I want to talk to my brother and sister about the idea... Thanks!!
  4. Very disappointed with Big Lot's ad this year... unless there are some unadvertised deals, there's nothing I need to stop for!
  5. Can you use more than one code at a time at kohls.com?
  6. I get to my 24hr WM around 2-2:30 am, walk around to see if anyone can/will tell me what's on which pallets, and make a plan of how to get to each pallet I want with the least hassle. Then I go find the movies or anything else I want to price match. Around 4:00, I go back to the area of the first pallet I want to grab from. When I notice more people starting to come in, I get next to the pallet I want and chit-chat with others standing there so we can form a "united front" and get what we want/need before the latecomers try to break thru!
  7. Have you checked places that sell wine and beer-making supplies? We have Liquor Barn here (don't know if that's a national chain or not), and that's where I buy most of the supplies that my dad needs for his home winemaking. There's also a place online where I occasionally order supplies and equipment for that, but I can't seem to find it right now! Wil post when I do!
  8. A couple of options, if you can't find someone to help you decide on a wine: 1) gift card to a nice wine shop in their area 2) wine accessories-- search online for lots of ideas... Some I've seen: cutting boards made from flattened (melted) wine bottles, decorative stoppers for re-corking an opened bottle, drip rings (little silver collar that slides down over the neck of the bottle, designed to catch any drips after pouring), decorative tags/signs to hang on a displayed bottle HTH!!
  9. I can help on this one-- my friend's sister is a manager at a Goody's about 50 miles from here. On my request, she gave him a copy of the BF ad... and he's in the process of scanning and sending it to me right now!! So stay tuned-- with any luck, this one should be submitted and posted later today! :) :)

GREAT news-- thanks so much, red!! :)
  11. Does anyone know the answer to either of these? Pleeeeeeeeeez?? :) Thanks!!

  13. FYI-- in our area, Bon-Ton is known as Elder-Beerman (it has both names on their ads and credit cards). Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about them either...
  14. Nice-- but unfortunately our HD was one of them that closed this year! I really like that Magic Chef 4.0 cu ft refrigerator-- it's the smallest I've seen with a separate freezing compartment. Being single with a small house, it would be the perfect size! Does anyone know if Lowe's will pricematch? (There's still an HD about 30 miles away, but that area will be super-crowded I'm sure!) Does Home Depot offer these same deals online on BF?
  15. Thank you-- that part makes much more sense now!! :) Still wondering about online/catalog prices on BF, though...
  16. Thanks, Brad! Two questions though: 1) Will they also have these same deals online? 2) Why does the ad say "One Day Sale Only" (11/28), then just below it say "Sale Prices Good Through Dec. 6th"-- am I missing something?!?! TIA!!
  17. Ditto what KBsDarling said!! I might have to find another brave soul to do my WM pricematching and doorbusters this year-- Kohls is on the opposite end of the next town over from my usual Walmart (about 25 miles away)!! Thanks Mark for posting this awesome ad!!!

Remember-- BF is a few days later this year than last (last year BF was 11/23)... so counting backwards from "the big day," it isn't late.........yet!

  20. I'm wondering this too... A couple places in the ad, it mentions their website, but at the bottom of most pages it also says prices are good "in store" on Friday and/or Saturday's dates. Maybe they're having different items on sale online? Can anyone verify or even tell us your experience with their online sales last BF??
  21. Can anyone read the online ID# for the $39.98 Field & Stream Waterproof Bomber Jacket, Bib or Pants? (There's a store about 30 miles from me, but I'm not fighting the horrible traffic just for that! lol) TIA!! ETA: Thanks for posting this ad, Brad!! :)
  22. Another board I frequent appears to have the same list (theirs is alphabetical, so it's hard to match up exactly, but I did see a large number of items that I know matched up), but no ad scan there yet either... But after seeing it on two sites and not in the same order (i.e. not likely a direct copy from one board to the other), I'm a little more confident that this could be the real thing! :) P.S. If anyone wants to the see the alphabetized list I found, let me know.
  23. FYI, on the Maybelline-- there were two different insert coupons (see below). Then there are also several different ones that were on tearpads and expire in March, 2009. Maybelline Mascara, Any (10-26-08 RP) $1.00/1, exp. 1/26/2009 Maybelline Foundation, Any (10-26-08 RP) $3.00/1, exp. 1/26/2009 HTH! :)
  24. Is this also for veterans (retired or honorably discharged)?
  25. Are you using the original link, or the one I gave in an earlier post (post #50 of this thread)? The one I posted still takes a few seconds to load, and I'm on a LAN line! So if you've got a slower connection, you may need to try waiting a little longer for it to completely come up...
