Sounds like a step in the right direction! If they can confirm that the waffle maker malfunctioned and they're willing to admit it, hopefully they'll be able to send you some type of compensation for your trouble in addition to a new wafflemaker.

Leapsters were still $39.98 at the one store here. Markdown guy was scanning only electronics and auto at the endcap in toys and mumbling about how stupid it is that he'll have to come back tomorrow to do more stuff in the same endcap.

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get anywhere with getting the counter repaired or replaced. There's really know way you can proove that it was the wafflemaker that did it. With pictures and a firm e-mail, I'm sure you can get reimbursed for the wafflemaker and maybe alittle extra for your troubles. By any chance, have you looked up the model number to make sure it's not on a recall list?

I just checked the one store that didn't go down to 75% yet and it was still at $39.98 this morning. At the other Target I checked yesterday, they went to 75% weeks ago and there are still some left:eyepoppin

Until now, I haven't been paying too much attention to the Wii deals but now DH says he wants one so I'm trying to learn quickly. BestBuy has them this week $249 including 1 remote, 1 nunchuck and it says it comes with a Wii sports game. Then you get a free $20 gift card with the wii. I know $249 is the regular price but does the GC make it a good deal or should I just keep waiting?

They were marked down here in NJ at 2 out of 3 stores yesterday. At the 2nd store, they were still marked $39.98 but scanning $19.99.

I guess this is a YMMV but after not seeing any for months, I found 4 MM's today. I did a mini-happy dance and when I got to the register, they were ringing up $.58 each !!!! I did a bigger happy dance when I got to the car!!! I wonder if there's a link between finding mm's and Target hiring new overnight stock people.

LOL! I only got three to begin with. 2 b-day parties and I sold the other to my friends mom who almost paid full price to give it to her grandson (my son's friend). I'm going to check a different store in a bit. Too bad I only printed the didj coupon and not the leapster one .

They would have told you that even if you had the coupon. I bought undies for DH on Saturday and when I went on Monday to change the size, I had to pay the difference. It's they're own version of "return and rebuy".

Yup, that's it! I ran out of the didj's I bought during the January clearance so I will be watching these for sure. Feel free to pm me and ideas on where they might get lost The stores have been kept so neat and orderly lately that I'm fresh out of spots:rolleyes:

I think they just stocked less of it to begin with. I was at Target on Friday night and the aisles were packed with shoppers and the shelves were already bare. Most of the chocolate was already gone. I was at Target this morning and I overheard some of their team meeting. The leader was telling them about the 50% off clearance and if something isn't coming up, there were NOT to mark them down with getting a mgr. to authorize. He said Spring colors don't mean Easter clearance or something like that. Then he was telling them about how they've been trying to catch all of the things that are hidden or out of place throughout the store and everything Easter belongs in the easter clearance section. After the meeting every single aisle in the food section had ee's fixing the shelves and pulling out things that didn't belong. I don't know if they do that on a regular basis but if anyone had anything stashed, it was sure to be found. Not looking good for 75% at all.

Paper Towels and Ziploc Containers? I didn't see any of those at my Target! I can't remember from last year but were the Spring Oreo's marked down or did you have to fight for those?

Same here on the East Coast. I had a hard time finding things to buy yesterday. I don't think they'll have much if anything make it past 50%

If you can wait, just keep checking Best Buy, Walmart, TRU. I needed to get a card and posted the same question. The very next day, it was on sale at Best Buy.

has anyone seen the Hamilton Beach Openstation marked down yet? I've been watching it for a year now and it's still full price. I know they were busy in the small appliance aisles so my fingers are crossed.

Which Leapster games is everyone finding? As usual, my local Walmart has a terrible clearance selection. I saw some My first leappad games but that's it.

Perused this morning and I found nothing. The little random things I did see were 15%. Is this normal for this time of year or is it a sign of the times?

I sent some bags in about 2 weeks ago. Nothing yet, but I did see that the bags were on clearance recently. I didn't have time to scan though.
