I start listening to my Christmas cd's when I decorate my tree, usually the evening of bf..after I've recovered! LOL I have a cd with some Elvis songs and another one of country singers that I play every year..can't wait but will! LOL :)

Has anybody ever hosted a cookie exchange party or went to one? I went to one last year and had the time of my life chit chatting and trying out some of the great cookies. I'm usually pretty stuck in my choices of either chocolate chip or peanut butter. LOL Does anybody have a "favorite" cookie that they always make for get togethers?

Another really good fudge recipe is on the jar of the Marshmellow Puff stuff. That is the best fudge that I have ever made! I had 4 requests last year for my fudge! I got sick of making it and may not make it this year! LOL

I will pm at Walmart for most everything unless I find a sitter and get to the px if they open at the rumored 3am..ugh! LOL I'd rather show a cashier all of my ads vs. running into 3 different stores after fighting for the 1st parking spot that I see! LOL

I think that pp is like kiddie kandids in that it's sort of expensive and you get your photos the same day. I've gone to kk twice and loved it each time but was unhappy that I didn't get much for my buck there. Sears portrait offers a 20% military discount.

Hmm, I might absolutely have to trust a babysitter to get here in time so I can be at Walmart at 5 and then run down the street to Sears for the gift card?!. Argh! Thanks Brad for the info!

I was at Walmart earlier and I asked about it since the costumes were all lined up near the check out lines (like normal clearance stuff) and the assistance manager told me that they weren't on sale! Argh!!!! There was a cute cowgirl costume that I wanted to get for dd for next year! Butthead a.m.!

I don't know what Hi-5 is...what channel are they on? Cartoon or people? LOL

Hubby and I have "adopted" a child every year. Except for last year, we just chose 2 kids and bought them each a nice gift. The PX has local/military kids age/sex info on a tag that won't have much of a Christmas on the tree before you go into a PX and we just snag a name to buy for! It's makes me feel good to know that I've helped in a small way!

I've been wanting to do a gift exchange with the inlaws, since there's only 3 people on my side of the family. But they're not into gift giving, so we usually don't do a whole lot.

I don't know, but hubby wants a handheld gps and gun cleaning kit. Not sure what I'll be getting him for sure though?!.

Sorry? Actually, I think that hubby is puting in for Rucker. His unit is scheduled to return back to Iraq next fall for their 3rd tour, and they won't even get home from this tour to Iraq until December. So, he's hoping to get to a post that won't be sending him anywhere and unfortunately Rucker is one of the few left!

Hmm, hubby got rid of his star card back when it was still the dpp (dumb privates program.. ) Maybe I should get one for those uniform emergencies and the extra incentive to shop at the px more!

They usually have a bf sale and others leading up to Christmas! I got alot of good deals last year and a cute teddy bear! :)

I'll be spending less this year..last year I went way overboard since it was dd's first Christmas and hubby was leaving for Iraq a couple of days afterwards!

I've visited Rucker when hubby went to ALSE school a couple of years ago. I didn't enjoy my 5 day visit there at all! LOL It seemed confusing and way too small for me with nothing anywhere near there! LOL Carson is great for shopping and outdoor stuff...we have 2 malls, 6 walmarts, 4 targets and many other stores in doubles/triples! LOL But this place is expensive to live!

For the love of God! 3am??? I don't think I'll be hitting them up this year! Ack! Masilke, off topic question, but how do you like rucker?

LOL Dang, $300???? I'm doing good with $5..McDonald's is further away than Burger King and I only get fast food once a week or every 2 weeks! LOL

Thanks for the idea SuperMommy! My dd is 19 months, and I am so thankful she can't ask for things like the older kiddos do and ask for the expensive stuff I'll be trying for a cabbage patch newborn or two, carebear with dvd, and I wanna see what the 4 post princess canopy bed looks like!

One of my friends had something taken out of her cart at Target a couple of years ago! Some of the shoppers at Target can get crazed!

Keep in mind that Kohls is notorious for marking up prices and then doing a 50% off sale That's true, thankfully I don't buy everything in sight! LOL But with the clothes right now, they have tons of racks at the 2 Kohls here, which are additional 70% off clearance prices and there were tons of shoes on clearance also!

That's exactly what I do! LOL I go get everything I know that Walmart carries and then I stalk out the toy section and try to peek at what's under the pallet liner! LOL Sometimes, near the bottom of the pallet, the black liner isn't covered as tight or all the way down so you can peek at what's in it!

Massive clothing sale going on in Kohls right now alot of items at 50% off, Fisher Price toys are 50% off and many of the other toys are 25% off including Carebears and Doodle bears and they did have Little People sets.
