  1. I'm pretty sure this will be long gone from my Target, but which model is it?
  2. Here's the crockpot stuffed turkey breast recipe i mentioned earlier. Crockpot Stuffed Turkey Breast Yield: 8 Servings 1/4 c Butter; melted 1 sm Onion; finely chopped 1/2 c Celery; finely chopped 2 1/2 oz Bacon croutons 1 c Chicken bouillon 1 tb Parsley, fresh; minced 1/2 ts Poultry seasoning 1 Turkey breast, whole -uncooked Salt; to taste Pepper; to taste Cheesecloth (about 24x36" -for each turkey breast) Wine, white, dry Combine butter, onion, celery, croutons, bouillon, parsley, and poultry seasoning. Cut turkey breast in thick slices, from breastbone to rib cage, leaving slices attached to bone. Sprinkle turkey with salt and pepper. Soak cheesecloth in wine. Set turkey on cheesecloth. Stuff bread mixture into slits of turkey. Fold one end of cheesecloth over other to cover meat. Place on metal rack or trivet in slow-cooking pot. Cover pot and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours or until tender. Pour additional wine over turkey during cooking. Remove from pot and take cheesecloth off immediately. If browner breast is preferred, remove from pot and brown in 400 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand 10 min. Drippings may be thickened for gravy if desired. Serve each person one or more thick slices of turkey with dressing in between. This recipe designed for 4 1/2 qt or larger slow cooking pot.
  3. :::waving at Tati::: I greeted you in the announce yourself, or returning members thread. I hope you saw my reply. For me, Thanksgiving is all about the leftovers, so even if you cook a small bone-in turkey breast, you'll have some leftovers to make some wonderful meals with. Do you have an oval crockpot? I have a terrific stuffed turkey breast recipe for the crockpot is you want it. Then, fix whichever side dishes you enjoy and have some pumpkin or sweet potato pie, and your meal is all set. But, even if you can't do that, find the time to quietly contemplate all your reasons to be thankful. You can write them down, or just meditate on them. That is the true way to commemorate and celebrate this holiday.
  4. I think the items we have been finding in small appliances may be stuff that has been hidden away in the back room. I still can't find a model number on the Chefmate microwave, but the manufacture date is 2005. In today's turnover, that's a pretty old model. So I think finding these items will be pretty hit or miss. We're also entering a pretty slow period for Target clearance, until after the holidays. Although if it hasn't gone clearance yet, the dorm/new apartment themed stuff in domestics should be going pretty soon. Keep an eye on those kitchen in a box and such sets. I bought one for $8.74 last year to put away for when Beorn leaves home. And at the time, he was only 12!

  6. Welcome to the GottaDeal.com forums, Snoopy! Did you sign up for the email alerts to be sent to you when new ads are added to the site? If not, you can sign up email alerts on the main GottaDeal.com Black Friday site, about halfay down the page. I signed up last year, and started receiving them automatically this year when the ads started arriving.
  7. Thanks becca! Current See Spot Save (to be referred to as SSS by me from now on) items are the ones with the blue dot, yes? So those will be the ones going clearance, as well as the Hallowe'en items?
  8. I received my tickets for the Jacksonville show earlier this week! And, I found a good size seating chart of the Jacksonville Arena. We are front center section, seven rows back. Woo-hoo!!!
  9. The cashier supervisor seemed surprise that I was getting the floor models as well. But they had the 75% off clearance stickers on them, and the electrical cords were not cut, which is what my Target usually does with floor models they won't sell. But, she called back to housewares, and they said fine on selling them to me with the additional 30% off.
  10. I had some time to kill this morning, so I went Perimeter Perusing for the first time in a long time. I found floor models of the following two items, so I asked for and received an additional 30% off at checkout. Chefmate 1200 watt white digital microwave oven. I can't find a model number on it though. regular $43.99 ---> 75% off $10.97 ---> additional 30% off $7.68 Rival Nonstick Electric Fold N Store Griddle regular $49.99 --> 75% off $12.48 --> additional 30% off $8.74 Now to see if everything works! I was told standard return policy applies, even though there is no packaging or paperwork to return.
  11. What becca and scrabbler said. Didn't I include that information in the ~*~*~Newbie Guide~*~*~?
  12. Paul and I saw them last year at Madison Square Garden in NYC hile we were up visiting MIL. It as our first time seeing them. I hope to catch them every year from now on. If I ever hear of Manheim Steamroller doing a Chr-stmas tour, I would also like to try and see them.
  13. :::got my tickets to the November 5th show in Jacksonville, FL in my hot little hands:::
  14. Thanks! Here's a link to the copy Ali put on page 47: Target Coupon Policy Feel free to change the name and email address to your own. I am sue you ould get the same response if you email them as well.
  15. Not me. I always carry around a copy of the email I posted earlier in this thread. If the cashier argues with me after reading that, I demand s/he calls over a supervisor. They read the email and give the go ahead every time. Search isn't working for me right now. Does anyone know where my post with the email from corporate is at? But, you have to buy other items to offset the overage of the coupon. You can not finish a transaction at Target with them owing you money.
  16. The SuperCenter where I have always gone for BF stays open and will let you line up next to the pallet of the item you want all night. But, they do not open the pallets until the blitz starts. So, it helps to have shopping buddies so you can each stand by a different pallet/department when blitz starts. However, I have heard some Wal-Marts allow their customers to put the blitz items in their shopping carts at midnight. They jsut will not allow them to chekc out until 6:00 AM. So, I think you would need to ask your Wal-Mart's management how they do it at their particular store.
  17. This is not working on my computer at home, but that may be becasue I'm on 56K dial-up access. Target Wake Up Call But, the Target celebrity recorded wake up calls are a lot of fun every year!

    Layaway?

This has been rumored on the AOL board as well. Several Target team members also post there, and they have all said there is no way Target will ever do any type of lay-a-way program. As was posted earlier, Target corporate wants the public to think of the store as a more upscale retailer, so they won't even consider it. And they also pointed out the source of the rumor. They have all questioned why anyone at Wal-Mart would even consider a shopper would believe a competitor's employee about a different company. (Think the attitude between Macy's and Gimbles at the beginning of Miracle on 34th Street).
  19. Where are the $1.97 clearance racks located in Penney's? I found the green signed 'Final Clearance' racks at my local store, but most items were about $5.97 on them.
  20. Welcome to the board, Tracy. We live in Gator Town, FL, where DH attends UF, but he spent a couple of semesters at UR when he first started school.
  21. I was pm'd and asked to share the brie recipe. Here it is. Brie with Hot Pecan Caramel Sauce 1 5 inch wheel brie cheese 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup pecan halves 1/4 cup heavy cream 1 Tbsp unsalted butter 1 baguette -- sliced thin Warm a sharp slicing knife in very hot tap water and carefully cut the top rind off the brie wheel. As a slicing guide, you can insert skewers into the cheese just below the rind. Let the knife blade rest on the skewers as you slice off the rind. In a sauce pot combine the sugar and water; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until reduced by half and sauce is dark brown. Remove from heat and add the pecans and cream. Stir well. Return mixture to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, about another 4-5 minutes. Remove pan from heat and stir in butter. Place the brie on a large plate. While it is still hot, pour the caramel and pecan mixture evenly over the brie, letting some of the caramel run over the sides of the cheese. Surround the finished brie with baguette slices and serve. NOTES : A brie wheel covered with a hot pecan caramel sauce looks lavish, tastes great and yet is simple to do. You can prepare the caramel several days in advance. On the day of your party, let the cheese warm to room temperature, reheat the sauce, and pour it on just as guests arrive. Baguette slices or whole-grain crackers make this appetizer complete.
  22. I never counted, but I think it's about 10 times a day. I gotta know if anyone finds a good Target deal that I need to check out right aay!
