  1. My sales ad mentions it only on the last page, and it clearly states both the Pepsi and the Frito-Lay purchases are required.
  2. I Lost Paul as of Yesterday... Yesterday, we found the Midway Stand-up Arcade during the 70% off clearance at JCPenneys. For $179.99, Paul had to have it. His complaint about the PC and game system versions has always been about the controllers. He has no complaints about this version. We were supposed to do more moving this weekend, but he still hasn't come to bed since setting it up yesterday afternoon... That's the end of Paul's holiday money from his Dad though, so I hope it lasts a long time. I saw this sytem a couple of years ago at Target. I really wish I had caught it when it went 90% off there...
  3. Once seasonal goes 90% off, it usually only last two or three days. Then, those items are marked back up to full retail price before going 'salvage,' so Target can get a tax write-off when they donate the items to places like Goodwill. Your Target probably went 90% off on the seasonal earlier in the week, or even last Friday, and by the time you got over their, the items had gove salvage already.
  4. My Daddy sailed both, and he enjoyed both. But he always said RC is the class and Carnival is the trash. He did not mean that Carnival was dirty, or the passengers lower class in any way, just that the service on RC was much classier in his opinion.
  5. I can understand that, if you couldn't find the natural in the jars. I don't need the added sugar that's in the other flavors. I actually prefer the cups for individual servings as well. I use the jars for replacing oil in baked goods. So, I think I'll go get some of those cups as well.
  6. Kewl, Crissy. Don't forget the original Motts deal I posted, the 2-4-1 apple sauce for $1.69 and then use two of the $1.00 off coupon in the pyrmamid booklets is good through tomorrow, since the apple sauce is on sale in the holiday flyer through that date.
  7. Oh, I never thought of that. Thanks for the suggestion Crissy!
  8. I just found this out today. Useful if you don't have a printer to print off the generator Target coupons... You can print coupons *in* Target -- at the bridal/baby registry computer -- go to Target.com -- SuperTarget coupons -- hit PRINT -- so you use Target's paper and ink . Remember, the SuperTarget web coupons are valid at all Targets, as long as the store has the merchandise in stock. Does Target take competitors coupons? I can't remember. If so, Publix has a coupon booklet out, sponsired by MyPyramid.gov. Inside is a coupon for $1.00 of any Motts applesauce product. I will definitely try to use it on those $1.50 applesauce cups.
  9. Seen in this week's Publix flyer: Get a $10 JC Penney Gift card mail-in rebate offer when you buy any 3 participating Kraft products and spend $50 or more at Publix. Offer is valid 1/2/07 - 1/31/07. For more information, call 1-888-812-51.
  10. Thanks Lazerith!
  11. Yeah... I got the same as Shell...
  12. Are the applesauce cups and the bigger bottles of juice from the week that's ending, or the week that's starting? Our Publix weekly flyer runs Thursday to Wednesday, and there's no Motts in the one ending today at all. Crissy, where did you look for the pyramid booklets? At the Gator Town Publix' I found them at, they were in a cardboard display by the large displays of items on special that is set up by the front door. Would you like me to snail mail you some booklets if you can't find them? It will be too late for the current specials ending Friday, but perhaps some other good sales will happe prior to the pyramid booklet coupons expire.
  13. This used to be true, and supposedly also with items that end in a 8. But, especially with electronics, if the price is only 50% off and it doesn't sell, it will be marked down again to 75% off eventually. Even if the price ends in a 4 or a 8. So I stick with the percentage off versus the final number. Yeah, this is what happens when the seasonal items that go 90% off are 'salvaged.' Target donates all of these items to places like Goodwill. So, to get the biggest tax write-off, prior to pulling them off the shelves they reset the prices back to retail so as they pull and scan the items they can say that was the last selling price. I have found if you have a receipt for a seasonal item that you bought at 90% off, and you find the same item once it goes salvage, that if you show the receipt the cashier will generally honor that price. However, that is only at the same Target the receipt is for, since even Targets in the same town can have different prices... Corporate policy is no, they do not price adjust clearance prices. I have heard that occasionally, if you get a new Guest Services team member, they may make a mistake and do it. So it is worth a try, but don't expect it. IME, it could be that, or a charity group, or a school or church group who will do a fundraising auction, or a reseller from a flea market, or someone who buys for Toys for Tots or a similar group.
  14. At any store other than Target, I would say yes. But, if there are five or more boxes of this cookware on the shelf, I would try to hold off until 75% off. Depends on the couple. Are they really into cooking? Calphalon would be appreciated by those who know decent cookware; but if they're just looking at namebrands, although Calphalon is a good one, they may not really appreciate what they have. Did they register for any cookware? Do you know what brand and type of cookware? Stainless steel, non-stick, hard anodized? If you decide this couple would appreciate this, and there's only a couple of packages left at your store, you could always buy one at 50% off, hold on to the receipt, and if you see it go 75% off buy it at that price and then return one with the higher priced receipt. Just be sure, if you return the newer package, that it doesn't have the clearance sticker on it showing the lower price when you go to return it with the higher priced receipt.
  15. Becca, will the weekly ads feature clearnace items often? I personally prefer they not be advertised, LOL.
  16. I have been given permission to post this from an email loop I'm on. Then, I'll describe what I did. OK, so I went looking for these 'pyramid' booklets. They're basically booklets promoting the food pyramid that Publix has put together, and say MyPyramid.gov on them. Inside are all the coupons Emily said are there. Then I went looking for the Muellers $1.50/3 coupon in the blinkie machines. None to be found here. Instead, I used the free Oxi-Clean detergent ball coupons. The packages I bought all had $1.00 of coupons to be used then on them. My Publix had 6 packages. I pointed out the $1.00 off use no coupons to the cashier as she scanned the packages, and made sure she deducted those. I then bought the apple juice and the apple sauce. I used two $1.00 off coupons on the 2/$1.69 jars of apple sauce, leaving a .31 cents credit. The 31 cents overage for each two jars of apple sauce help offset the 09 cents on each package of 4 count juice. My Publix only had 6 jars of the all natural no sugar added apple sauce (the only kind I buy), so I between the apple sauce and the Oxi-Clean, I had an overage of $6.91. I used it to buy 4 cartons of 18 count extra large eggs at $2.09 a carton. At the end of all that, I handed the cashier the free Oxi-clean coupons and she took off the full $6.99 each with no problem. That's what gave me the the extra $6.00 from the $1.00 use me now coupons. Since non-prepared food is non-taxable in FL, only 42 cents of that overage went to sales tax for the Oxi-Clean. So I had a credit of $6.49. So, I walked out of Publix with 6 Oxi-Clean detergent balls, 6 jars Motts all natural no sugar added apple sauce, 11 4-count packs of Motts mini apple juice boxes, and 4 cartons of 18-count extra large eggs for...$1.87. I hope that makes sense. Feel free to ask me for clarification. Emily lives in the Tampa/St. Petersburgh, FL area. I believe her Publix home office is in Lakeland, FL. I'm in Gator Town. Our home office is in Jacksonville, FL. So, the offer is valid at least within Central and Northeast FL.
  17. Really??? It's Target corporate policy to clearance seasonal items out by practically giving them away, and they're worried about the meager amount from coupons? Amazing...
  18. One coupon per transaction means one coupon per item, usually. You should ahve headed over to guest Services, or had a manager called over. Crissy, what is an 'LP' issue?
  19. Feel free to print this email of mine from Target corporate, and carry it around with you. I also have no problem if you want to edit out my name and email address and substitute your own... Subj: Inquiry to Target Guest Relations Date: 9/29/03 2:19:01 PM Central Daylight Time From: [email protected][/email] (Target Guest Relations) To: [email protected] Dear Pamela, Thank you for your e-mail regarding Target's acceptance of coupons. Target is a trend retailer that wants to provide you the latest merchandise at the lowest possible prices. We have established our coupon guidelines to treat every guest fairly and consistently. We accept any Target issued coupon or manufacturer's coupon that meets the guidelines written on the coupon. We do not accept coupons from other retailers or coupons for products not carried in our merchandise assortment. All coupons must be valid and presented to the cashier at the time of sale. You may use a Target issued coupon and a manufacturer's coupon for the same item, provided the guidelines do not prevent such a transaction. When the value of a coupon exceeds the selling price of an item, our coupon guidelines allow the selling price of the item to be entered as the coupon amount, and the cashier takes the coupon. We are always looking for ways to make the Target experience better for every guest. Your comments concerning the acceptance of coupons will be made available to the Store Team Leader as well as our Store Operations executives. We value you as our guest and thank you for shopping at Target. Sincerely, Janine O. Target Guest Relations www.target.com I have found it is generally easier to give a coupon, or combination of coupons, that exceed the selling price of an item at the end of the transaction, and to make sure the total purchase still ends with me owing them money. Most of the time the coupon is taken and scanned without a problem, and the overage applied to other items. HTH! AFAIK, toys are always marked down either Wednesday or Thursday. If they follow the same schedule as last year, next week will be too early. So it will most likely be the following Wednesday or Thursday. But, with the new mark down schedule, and stores going clearance according to their sales instead of corporate, who knows for sure anymore?
  20. Free oxiclean? Please tell me more!
  21. Oh man, I didn't even think to look for that. That's 75% off what it sells for here!
  22. Wow, I didn't realize Pier 1 went to 75% off as well. This may just be worth checking out. I wonder if The Bombay Company will also go 75 to 90% off?
  23. :::my post on the AOL board, so I'm quoting a poster from there::: According to my favorite team member at Target, Gator Town also went 90% off yesterday afternoon. I was there yesterday morning, and it was still 75% off at that point. There was a whole back wall of boxed trees, but the only items I saw I wanted was the decorated wreath made up of mult-colored large jingle bells. There were two of them. When I arrived this morning, all of the trees and both wreaths were gone. I found a twin Home blue flannel set here with a snowflake pattern on it. It scanned at $16.98, so I passed. Six full tubs, as the team members told me they call the carts they use to bring items out of the back room, were unloaded and stocked while I was there. None of these were left. I saw these being unloaded, but only took the cheese dome. I think that will be a lovely way to serve the Brie with Caramel Sauce in the future. Ack, now I just realize these would have made great end-of-year teacher gifts. Doy! None here. I found a two pack of Rubbermaid take along serving bowls in green with candy canes on the package, but they were only 75% off. Here is what I did wind up with: 2 boxes icicle lights 99 cents TSO: The Chr-stmas Attic CD 99 cents Another CD, double set 99 cents 8 snowman coffe mugs 39 cents each Choxie (with the green X) 8-piece fruit and nut tiles 70 cents (I can't believe someone pays $7.00 for this package of 8 small pieces of chocolate) Cheese dome 99 cents With tax, I paid $9.32. Not bad. Gator Town still had a whole endcap of Hanukkah merchandise, but it was over in Stationary, not with the holiday clearance. It is on clearance for 75% off though. I doubt it will go to 90% off, since it's not considered seasonal, but I passed anyway. I would have liked their package of Hanukkiah candles, but I would have liked them better at 90% off. The other items, for a minor festival, is too gaudy for me. If it does go 90% off, I might buy some and try my hand at ebay though.
  24. : Crissy! Do you mean I have to remind you of the number one rule of perimeter perusing? Nah...I didn't think so! :handslap: There were only two of the 80 count, and only one of the 35 count at the Gator Town Target. But, until guest services printed the stickers for me, they were not marked clearance in anyway either.
  25. Thanks for posting about these, I had no idea that was a hidden deal! I didn't find the gel tabs with a snowman on them, but this is what I did find. Clear plastic tub with green lid of Cascade 80 count 2 in 1 action pacs with the power of Dawn for $2.46. UPC 37000 10163 Be forewarned. It was scanning information not on file. I had to bring it up to guest services, and they printed out a new sticker for me once they located the price. There is also a tub with a green lid of the same product, only it is 35 count in Apple Cinnamon scent that is scanning for $1.74. I don't like the scent, so I don't have it on hand to give y'all the UPC code.
