  1. As a friend of mine said: "Gobble Tov!"
  2. Hanukkah starts very early this year. First night is this Wednesday, and the last day ends at sunset on Thursday, December 5th.
  3. Keep in mind Hanukkah is a minor festival, not a major religious holiday. So it can be kept low key. Perhaps an electric menorah, or a felt one: http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Pottery-Barn-Kids-Hanukkah-Calendar-Banner-Flag-Count-Down-/00/s/MTAwMFg5OTk=/$(KGrHqF,!jkFBOpCs5ORBQeYeukbmg~~60_35.JPG some plastic dreidels, and some chocolate gelt coins. That's all you need.
  4. Not shirtless in Seattle this year. Thanks Brad!
  5. Looking good, Len! Hoping to find mine in the mailbox soon.
  6. Does kohls.com stack coupon codes?
  7. Huh. I'm tempted by the dutch oven at that price, but I really want an oval instead of a round one.
  8. My Target ad today has this coupon inside it as well.
  9. I think if a gift card is given to enhance the main gift, such as a means to buy accessories for the gift, that works. Also, the recipient may not be clear on what would please them in their survey; I don't think I was, as I don't really have space in my situation for material things. A gift card would be nice, as I can then choose what to use it on (as long as the store/restaurant it is to is in my area), and I could stretch out the gift itself in to the New Year. JMHO, of course...
  10. *sigh* I don't have a smart phone, and mobile coupons with bar codes don't work for me. *sigh* But thanks for posting!
  11. Thanks! This is my first time seeing Fred Meyer's BF ad. There's not anything I have to have, but it may be worth my while to get up early and go...
  12. Same at the Redmond Target; no new sticker bar codes put over them. I found an associate working in seasonal, and asked him. He scanned it, said it was coming up "clearance: sell for $0.00" and told me to bring it up front. He wasn't sure they would go for the $.29, but said they should definitely discount it for me. At the register, the cashier called one of his senior cashiers, who also scanned it. I again said it was scanning at $.29 cents with the 90% off Halloween clearance, and she told him to give it to me. I got four packages, but left far more on the shelf. Thanks for posting the deal!
  13. A bit out of my price range, but how fun! Thanksgivivukkah Semi-Sweet Chocolate Menorah
  14. I'm in Redmond, so it sounds like Redmond Fred Meyer, followed by Alderwood Mall? Or would you recommend I go to Bellevue? Factoria has a regular Wal-Mart, but not a Super Center. Since I travel by bus, I'm not sure if finding a Super Center would be worth it for me...
  15. I don't recall the dollar spot ever going 90%, even though many of the items are seasonal themed. Only items which are specifically seasonal, even if spread throughout other departments. I know that's not very clear, but I mean although the dollar spot carries seasonally themed merchandise, it is not classified in Target's system as seasonal items...
  16. What about Kohl's? I've never done Kohl's on BF either...
  17. Last year for Black Friday, I had no money of my own. This year, I can actually start planning again. In Gator Town, I always focused on Wal-Mart, but the nearest super store is quite a ways away. Target generally does the three day sale, without any door busters, so I can do them later in the weekend. Does Fred Meyer do fantastic door busters for Black Friday? Or should I focus my attention more on places like JCPenney's?
  18. Brad, is there a way to get mine reanimated?
  19. I am so happy with my Secret Santa receiver!
  20. I did? I really don't recall that... I shop Target clearance year round for birthday and holiday gifts. Most of my BF spending tends to be on things I want for myself.
  21. *nod* Overnight French Toast made with challah is the way to go, in my opinion. I posted a slew of French toast casserole recipes years ago somewhere on here. Probably a Chr-stmas brunch thread...
  22. I've not posted any recipes for sweet potato latkes. I'll need to hunt up some recipes for them myself.
  23. As I said in the Thanksgivukkah thread I started in Holiday Discussion awhile ago, deep fried turkey and sweet potato latkes really should be de rigor (sp?) this year...
