Tell me your hits this year for toys
me2 replied to tjarena's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Ds got the Nerf Vulcan too. It works, but even when it works it isn't that great. The holder for the clip keeps falling off and without it the pull isn't strong enough to feed the belt full of darts through the gun. Maybe if you set it carefully on the floor on the tripod, but that obviously isn't what ds wants to do. -

I think FLAMW still works for 50% off. -
Shipping isn't cheap, but it sounds yummy. Had 2 pound tins of treats shipped to two different addresses for under $50 Has anyone ordered from them before? I'm hoping it tastes as good as it looks!

Anyone think I can still get the Nerf Vulcan?
me2 replied to Sacha's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
What kind of batteries does it use? The box has some weird LS20 or something on it, 1.5 volt, but amazon says 6 D batteries. -
Cookies or some other christmas goodie. Many people are so busy they don't have time to bake. A coupon offering to volunteer X amount of time copying, or prepping something for the teacher or maybe an offer to clean the cage of the class pet. A sincerely handwritten letter from ds and dd thanking them and specifically mentioning some things they've loved this year. Books for the class library. You can probably find some that are inexpensive and in like new condition at the thrift store.

Sale--North Face Girls' Denali Jacket $69.30 at www.moosejaw.com

The children's jacket also doesn't have the waist drawstring that the adult version has. Probably doesn't make any difference unless you have a picky teen. My daughter is scrawny, but she likes things to fit well, which is why I wound up coughing up the extra for the adult XS. -

Bought personalized pencils for stocking stuffers for the kids. The free shipping is a great deal if you only want to buy a couple of items. -
It's Donner. Donner is thunder in German and Blitzen is lightening.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2007
me2 replied to 1angelnhvn's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Federal Way Washington - 75% this morning Loads of stuff left. I had checked out the Kent store a couple of days ago, Federal Way was definitely better. Picked up a couple lighted deer, paper, nuts, two pack of Christmas (???) deodorant, and the Armour All gift set. There were plenty of cookie sets, twin comforter/shams, trees, ornaments, paper - 3-4 aisles worth. I felt bad for the cashier. She asked me if there were any of the Armour All sets left - I told her TWO. I offered to grab one for her, she said she couldn't, she'd have to wait for break. I can see it both ways. It would be tough to sit and watch people grab those deals and not have a chance to buy any of it. -

Anyone heard of any decent 27" - 32" LCD Tvs for a great price coming up at a New Year's Sale? Nice financing deal - like no payments or no interest for a year would be great. :)

Equal amounts of love.:) And I usually do try to make sure they have the same number of gifts to open.

My daughter is 11, and she is definitely not into Bratz. I think it depends a little on what grade your sdd is in school. If she's elementary, maybe, middle school, probably not. 11 is kind of a tough age for a makeup kit. They're a little old to just pretend, but a little young to really wear it. I'd pick up a manicure set with nail polish and glittery dealios instead.

I was 18 in line. Our store in Washington State must have had 40-50, because I wasn't even close to the last person who bought a Wii. I did do the Mario deal. You can get 50% off of the Wiiplay, the 49.99 deal for the extra controller and wii sports game. Not a bad deal considering the controller by itself is 39.99.

She has all of that. She swims. She has a nice specialty bag embroidered with her name on it. She might like arm and leg weights. She absolutely hates to run. I'm going to buy her a new suit, but there's really not a lot of equipment involved in swimming.
-
You have never seen our house. They enter...but they never leeeeeeeeave. Until I finally tell them that I'm not buying one more book until there is space on the shelves. But the kids all do have big lists of books they want. I just need to get her something else, too!!

She has a bike. She *might like some excercise equipment. That's not a bad thought at all. She has weight training next semester, and we already have a weight bench, but there are tons of balls, and bands, and funky equipment that she might like. Maybe. At least it's an idea!!!

They have some really cute stuff - but a $200+ purse?? *I don't have a $200 purse! o.k., I'm cheap.

Need: Small gift ideas for 6th grade boys (total 15 boys)
me2 replied to marth4's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
That's perfect for sixth grade girls. I asked my h.s. daughter and sixth grade daughter. Both have the same opinion - food. Can you do little stockings with fun candy? -
:) I am going to get both her and her sister a prepaid Visa, and a promise to take them clothes shopping to spend it. But beyond that, it's tough. She isn't interested in music and doesn't want a purse. I asked. Tickets to a sporting event are a good idea. Her Dad wouldn't mind taking her, but she doesn't care for either basketball or football, so I'm not sure what else I could get. She likes magazines, I think I bought her a Discovery subscription last year, she'd probably like something similar. I think she'd rather be drawn and quartered than sew. She's really, really, not very crafty. She already has a digital camera, although I could probably try some scrapbooking stuff, she might like that. I did buy her a locket. We already have a telescope and a microscope. I have plenty of ideas for her sister and brother, but SHE is driving me batty!

Food. 6th grade boys are piggy creatures. What did you get the girls? -
I have no idea what to buy my 15 y.o. daughter. She isn't into clothes. Doesn't want an MP3 player. She plays sports, but neither of her sports involves much equipment. She's pretty neutral on jewelry, but she wouldn't wear it most of the time because she's always playing sports. Isn't allowed to wear makeup, and wouldn't be interested anyway. She does Debate at school. Again, not very equipment intensive. Says she wouldn't mind craft stuff "As long as it takes minimal skill and it doesn't take more than an hour to complete the project". Isn't 'artsy'. She does love Science, but she's well beyond kid type science kits. Has Legos. See above under "craft projects". Likes to read, but I can only buy her so many books. Doesn't really want anything for her room. Isn't interested in anything electronic. She does like computer games - mostly strategy - but hasn't heard of anything new and good that she'd like. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?????

Will they have at each Circuit City? Can't find it in the ad! Thanks
