Can't say I have a favorite book about Christmas other than the ones I read as child.

I have never done it before, but it was very tempting when I was first married. Now,,,I love making them wonder what I got them. My immediate family always wants me to give hints to them. I am very vague with answers..

Christmas is the time my children will get the most of all of the year including their b-days. The ones that live at home usually get more items,,,but the one who has a family gets a few items but cost less than one of the children who live at home. But then again I have to buy for my son, DIL and 3 grandchildren. Not that I don't spend alot on my grandchildren because I do!!! LOL

I have never been to Macy's on BF,,so if I get like 8 coupons for $10 off I can use them on 10 items?

We did the exchanging of names but we felt it wasn't working since we still bought for each others children regardless. Now we spend $10 a piece on adults and $15 on the children. Our parents are a different story that is our choice what we spend on them. Not all of my family participates because of whatever reason...but I still send them a family gift each year.

I can't say that I want anything strange because I have no idea what I want. But with as many kids that me and hubby have between us...I am sure one of the younger ones will get me something strange! When my youngest son was 5 yo he bought me a hammer,,,told me that I didn't need to use daddy's anymore.

I am glad I found this post...my dtr who is going off to college in the fall was talking about this deal. I told her if I could find it I would try to talk her dad to get it for her for Christmas. He would believe us that you could get a laptop for under $400. I am copying and pasting this! lol Ugh! it ends today. Oh well, I am sure there will be another deal something like this before Christmas. I will still show hubby this just to prove him wrong.

How about going for a sleigh ride? Or have the children decorate plastic Christmas bulbs with Elmer's glue and glitter. I had my grandchildren do this last year ,,,they really enjoyed it.

I use mostly wrapping paper that is from Dollar Tree or at our Reny's Department store for a $1. I buy for the grandchildren; Strawberry Shortcake, Pooh Bear, Scooby-Doo, Mickey Mouse and Care Bears. For the adults it could be almost anything ...usually I buy 4 different designs. I use gift bags that are from Dollar Tree also,,,I usually get 2 for a $1.

I have 2 stepsons ages 13 & 14. They have tons of Gameboy Advance games and Playstation2 games already. They have tons of cd's and a tv with dvd player in their rooms. One is into football, auto racing, skateboarding and riding his bike. The other one just likes to read, collects Yu-Gi cards, baseball, fishing, and card games. They haven't been able to come up with a wish list yet for me and I want to figure out what I am going to get them before to long. If anyone has any ideas please post them. TIA.
