  1. Shopping cart skidmarks on flesh and polyester Welcome to Wal-Mart
  2. it'd be great once the ad leaks if we could all just put the products on layaway & just go in at our leisure on BF and pick them up. kind of like that vip best buy program? but i guess that would be too much to hope for...
  3. Stayed up all night and got my laptop and camera stuff. I LOVE BF!
  4. I haven't been in Target all summer but I was in for the first time this week and please don't get mad if I've missed it, I did search to see whether I could find information about this -- but is the awesome MM 69-cent deal gone for good? There were MM 10-packs neatly stacked at my Target in NEPA, with a price below the boxes of $2.99. And that's what they scanned at.
  5. RE: the MM post I made last week about discovering they're all supposed to be split up for "Food Avenue" -- I'm sorry to have repeated something that had been discussed earlier here; I missed it... And I *surely* didn't mean to draw attention to the deal -- it was unfortunate timing, what with the boxes leaking everywhere and the overeager Target employee trying to do more than was necessary. :) Anyway, after all that, I found 3 MMs today -- fruit punch, no less -- haven't seen those in months and months!! I squirreled them among about two dozen other items, and they sailed through like a charm. The cashier (a trainee -- AWESOME LUCK!!!) -- even double-scanned one, then took it off and double-checked to ensure I was "only" being charged 69 cents. Tee hee! So thank goodness, the employees all have the attention span of gnats at my store!!!
  6. OMG OMG OMG -- I just found out today WHY there are 10-pack MMs for 69 cents. And I really really hope Target employees are NOT as empowered as I always want them to be, because in this case they could take away our 69-cent wonder deal!! AARRGGH! I found 4 of the 10-pakcs packs but one was leaking badly, all over the shelves. I asked a TM for help to clean off my hands, because I was dripping and sticky, and I also wanted help figuring out which was the leaker so I could buy the others. She apologized profusely, helped me clear it all up, but it was tough to figure out which one was leaking so she said let me check in back for you and started searching the shelf tags for the item number so she could take it to the back. Hmm, she says, it's not here. And she grabs the one from my hands and scans it and does a double-take when she sees the price. Oh, she says, this is "Food Avenue." What's that? I ask, 'cause I've never heard of it. "These are for the front of the store in the food court. They're supposed to be broken up and each one sold individually for 69 cents. These aren't supposed to be here at all." She's looking at me with suspicion, like I've done something wrong. I just go "Oh, hmm" and push my cart away. I'm thinking that Target just gets shipments from MM with all different sizes, and they specifically order the 10-packs to break them up for the food court, but the guy unpacking boxes in the back hasn't been told that, so they're just throwing them on the shelves with the others, not knowing any better.
  7. Hi, just wanted to alert everyone that the Company Store does NOT stand behind some of the stuff it sells -- including the market umbrella I got back in January. We put it up on the deck for the first time last week and within two days one of the ribs had broken. We didn't have any high winds -- it is so cheaply made -- I am fuming! I sent them an e-mail asking for a refund or for a sturdier replacement and today I got a "dear customer" letter saying I was beyond their 90-day return policy, tough cookies. (They have a lifetime warranty for stuff made by them in Wisconsin, but not for the other stuff they sell.) I am used to LL Bean/ Land's End, where the customer is always right. I had expected, since this store is also fairly expensive, that they would treat their customer better. I will NEVER order from them again. Be warned! Their market umbrellas are crap!!!
  8. minimum order 300....lol .... at the convenience store near me that'd get my hubby about four cartons of his camels. so yeah, please let us know!
  9. I've had good luck at A.C. Moore, believe it or not. They have cheap Hanes there for the crafters who like to decorate them. Can't remember prices, but they were about $2 or $3 apiece. And A.C. Moore has decent coupons in the Sunday paper... HTH
  10. $!%@& - *my* store had it for $34 and they don't price-match the online store. And on the Web page, it's not actually available online, even though it says free shipping. It says "available in stores only." In small print it says prices may vary by store. Well .. nuts! If the prices may vary, how can they ballyhoo the $29???
  11. Legal? Probably not. Maybe, best-case scenario, it's a loophole? I think states can come after you for back taxes if they catch you ordering cigs from a place online that doesn't charge tax. It's something to consider. I've ordered online from in-USA places in the past, but never regularly, and it's been years. I think enforcement of the tax dodge may have increased, now that states are relying more and more heavily on cig taxes for revenue. Sheesh. Now you've got me worried beyond whether the place is reputable!
  12. Prices are nuts; hubby smokes Camel nonfiltered, the most expensive cigs around, and we can't afford $70 a carton (could be worse - it's over $100 in NY..) -- someone online mentioned www.cigoutlet.net and their prices are AWESOME. They ship from overseas. But in checking for recommendations, I find some troubling stuff from 4-6 years ago (product not arriving, no CS) ... nothing recently. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? TIA
  13. Yup, 50-cent MM for me today -- two nail polishes for $2.49 apiece, BOGO, and $3-off CVS Q. Yay!
  14. The diet Pepsi Q (buy 2, get 1 free) appears to be dead, more's the pity.
  15. OH, thank you so much, CTShopper! At least now I understand the reason for the prices. I was completely freaked out, thinking that "character" Legos routinely cost this much. So in effect, they're now collectibles, not just toys anymore. Got it!
  16. Yup, I got Memorex DVD pack for $7.50 - 50% off. In the regular aisle; they're sneaky!
  17. yes, i've seen these prices -- but not for lego batman. that stuff is *crazy* prices. and peppysfireball -- $70 for a big castle would be absolutely fine -- but I''m talking about a couple of little boats about 5 inches long, and a couple of figurines maybe an inch tall -- $95. The big sets are $300 and up !! will check the other recommendations; thanks!
  18. sounds like a great price to me. i would check the actual model number against review sites (just google the model number and you should be able to track down info - amazon is probably a good bet). make sure your computer is compatible (i don't know enough to give you more insight than that -- i just know there are different kinds of drives - IDE, ATA - and maybe they don't all work in all computers ?) bear in mind you'll need to factor in the installation cost, unless you're planning to do it yourself, and the data transfer time and effort.
  19. Walgreens online has buy 25 4x6 prints, get 25 free, now through next Saturday (April 4) Enter code FREE25 at checkout
  20. So I'm really cheap -- I want to use a ton of those Target Cheetos Qs ($1 off- no size restriction) and buy the single-serving packs -- 'cause my DD has to bring Cheetos for 15 kids to a school event this weekend. I figured I'd buy the small packs and combine them all into a Ziploc bag, thereby saving myself a grand total of maybe $5 (on two big bags) ... but I doubt I can walk in there with 10 or 20 Target Qs and get away with it; I'd have to make at least a couple or three trips, so am I really saving money? Tell me no, so I just buy the big size and get a buck off. I feel so weird, though, knowing I could get something for free, but deciding against it!!!
  21. That's more like the price range I had in mind -- but there are no Lego Batman sets available for anywhere near that price. Thanks, though!
  22. OK, I'm a complete Lego neophyte and I'm hyperventilating over the price of the sets mentioned in this thread. They're not $15 or $30 anymore -- the Robin set is $95 at Amazon, and it's the CHEAPEST one!! They go up to $350!!! Is this normal? Because my kid is now nuts over Lego Batman, and I can't afford these prices! I'm really hoping this is, like, the 2008 collection that now is worth money as a collectible, but that they'll again have $30 sets during this year's 2009 collection. Please tell me this will happen!!!
  23. i got kind of spoiled with the recent deal on madagascar at CVS -- is $8 off the best out there or should I wait a while?
  24. yes, definitely make sure it's sharp as a tack. i use mpix.com -- lot of pros use it. they ship the same day and while they're not cheap, they sometimes have sales.
  25. wow, that's a great tip, kymmber. thank you!
