Haha... I wonder the same

Kmart and Sears in my area have gotten so run down these past several years that it feels like the quality is comparable to shopping at Ross or some other store that just gets low quality no name overstock. We used to shop there all the time when I was younger but I rarely go there now. Layaway was nice this year though since it continued until xmas and not a few weeks before. One thing I didn't like about Walmart.

I went to one store and it was pretty much cleared out at 7:45ish. Another store was pretty well stocked but out of all the cool stuff

Wow I have been hearing nothing but negative things about target.com this holiday season. I wonder what's going on with them. I don't think they were this bad in the past or did I just not see it?

I think walmart has so many because they had them exclusively... I also think some people didn't buy them because the WiiU is coming for the 2012 holidays

I don't think you're an oddball... if your kids are behaved, you had no other choice, and you let them sleep that's perfectly fine. I think the parents that didn't let their kids sleep were the ones with crying children. MOST of the babies I saw were with both parents and/or multiple adults. I dont think that's as excusable compared to a single mother or father.

The target near my work had a barricade set up on Wednesday outside for the line and had taped the ground for the checkout so you knew where to go if you went to target before thanksgiving. the target near my home didn't... and I heard they were closed for a while by the fire marshall because there were too many people.

If I was here then I would report it... get the names of the employees that told her they had plenty and gave her a ticket only to tell her that they only had 2 total when she got up there. That's seriously bad service... push for an investigation of this TRU location.

I saw a bunch of TVs and DVDs left. Barely any Blu-rays and games. But some clothes... while I was there they were going through and changing prices so I'm not sure if they were still at BF prices today but I doubt it since most of the stuff was good only until Saturday.

I think that's probably why you didn't see a lot of younger kids. I think the problem is... most parents brought their kids so they could get in line early (around 8PM or 9PM) and just kept them awake the entire time until they got what they wanted and went home after checking out and that usually finishes around 3 or 4 AM depending on which stores you need to go to. I was at the mall and there were tons of teenagers running through the mall & getting yelled at by security plus a number of parents with strollers and toddlers in tow. I might not have noticed some of the little kids if they weren't bawling their eyes out.

I'm kind irritated at them too. They just don't seem to know what they're doing. We ordered the PS3 bundle and were informed that it was on backorder. The email specifically stated to contact them if we weren't happy with waiting up to 30 days for it. We called them to let them know we want to cancel and it wouldn't let us online. The rep at first just insisted she couldn't cancel it without telling us a reason why. Then she told us their system was bogged down and delayed but we should be able to cancel it ourselves online when the status changed in a few hours. Fast forward a day of checking and we contact them again. Now they say they can't cancel the backordered item and we'll have to wait until it arrives and return it for a refund. It's my bf's card so he didn't mind but I was very irritated for the wrong information and lack of help from customer service. I don't really think you we're wrong in being upset in what you wanted done. They giftcard thing sucks but I can see why it's a security issue. However, couldn't they send you an ecard to your email or something more immediate instead?

I have to agree after reading all this. It actually didn't occur to me at first because I used to always go with my mom since I can remember. I was in elementary school when I started black friday shopping. The majority of kids out there weren't into it like I was though...

I agree also... I think it brought out people who normally wouldn't be around Black Friday also. In the past, people were competitive but it was friendly competition not aggressive annihilation. I've had people help hand me things when I couldn't get to the front. People would willingly pass it back and get out of others' way once they got what they wanted. We now have people hording items even if they don't need it just because it's what everyone else wants. Black Friday is much more mainstream and commercialized. I mean it was before but there are always unspoken/unwritten courtesies upheld by people that constantly participate in these types of events. When you get people that don't normally participate get involved, they don't follow those common courtesies.

Don't watch the video if you have a weaker stomach or anything because it does show blood. I can understand both sides though. If he "concealed" the game then I can see how they concluded he was shoplifting; however, that doesn't excuse what they did. I can also see how why the guy did what he did. I wouldn't be thinking "if I tucked this under my arm/in my pocket/etc they might think I'm stealing." It would be more reflex "place item in safe spot & protect my little boy from the crowd"

Have you tried calling the newspaper? We did and they said it should've been in there but that they would deliver them to our house...

So... my boyfriend went out in the morning to get the newspaper. The ones in our area are all missing the Wal-Mart, Kmart Best Buy, and TRU ads... we called them to let them know and they're going to deliver those ads to the house. Still O_o I think someone screwed up with the stuffing!

Did they contact you when they cancelled your order and did they already take your money? I hate Barnes & Noble and my paypal right now it won't release my money. I also hate how they sent a scheduled to ship confirmation before cancelling it without telling me. I would've been waiting for it to arrive next week. I always double check my orders later in the day which is how I found out it got cancelled. I now have to borrow $200 to buy it somewhere else since my money is on hold... /sigh ======================================================================= On a happier note... I just ordered the PS3 bundle from Best Buy... crossing my fingers that nothing goes wrong... I also got luggage and a gift from JCPenney and headphones from Radio Shack. Now I have less places I need to purchase things at!
