I went to TRU this morning to see if by chance the DS Lite came in on last night's truck and was waiting for them to open when they started handing out tickets for the Wii. I bought one and have no idea why. I didn't need it or want it.

I have the 30g ipod video and LOVE it!!

I have one of these that my 7 year old just happened to see in the trunk of my car so I won't be needing it. I paid $8 for it, not sure what it would cost to ship it but I could get it to you before Christmas if you can't find one elsewhere.

The check hadn't been cashed and he was able to stop payment on it. His wife is going tomorrow to re-purchase all of the dvd's for my daughter and he is sending another check.. this time to my office. I wish I could find the person who stole them though..... Oooooh I'm mad... but on the bright side, the ex-fed-ex driver (he was fired today) is paying for the dvd's and we were able to stop payment on the check. Don't get me wrong, I HATE that that guy lost his job. I've lost my job before and that is the absolute worst feeling in the world and I don't wish that on anybody, ever, no matter how badly they screwed up, but I'm glad that Fed-ex is taking responsibility for my package.

My brother called last night to ask why I hadn't called to say thank you for the $$ he sent me for Christmas. I had no idea what he was talking about. He said that he sent me a check for $1000.00 for Christmas via Fed-ex and he tracked it and said delivered so why hadn't I called. I NEVER GOT IT!! So I called the local fed-ex hub and asked where the driver put it. He said that he left it on my front porch beside the flower pot. Okay, are you serious??? I live in an apartment complex in downtown Jackson Mississippi where every single apartment has burglar bars on the windows and security doors and you just left a package on the front porch??? Did you attach a sign to it that said, "Hey, this lady isn't home, but here is a Christmas present just for you!!" What level of stupidity does it take to leave a package on the front porch of an apartment complex in downtown Jackson??? So I talked to the manager of the local hub and she says, "well, our policy is not to leave packages at an apartment complex period so I will handle that, but as far as filing a claim, if it wasn't marked for signature required then there is nothing that you can do about it." My brother is calling the bank now to see if he can stop payment on the check but the other stuff (20 Disney DVD's that he sent my daughter) is just gone.

You are not taking it in wrong. That's how it works. You call 1-800-FREE-411 and they give you the number you want and will connect you for FREE!! The service is paid for by the advertisers. In exchange for them giving you a telephone number for free, you have to listen to a 15-30 second ad. IMO that's a fair trade.

This is 1-800-FREE-411 in case you don't program it in your phone and you are out somewhere trying to remember the number. I've done that more than once. This is a really neat service too. It is completely automated, it asks business, government or residential, the city and state and then the listing. It is paid for by the advertisers. While you are waiting for your number you listen to a short 20 - 30 second ad for a company that (most of the time) is in the same business of what you're looking up. If it's residential that you are looking for, when you are connected, the called party hears a short advertisement for a company in their area.

Sheli, you should check some of the other travel sites and see if you can get a fare close to the sale price that you just missed. In addition to the ones that everybody uses (orbitz, travelocity, hotwire, etc.) try these... cheap-airfare.com; sidestep.com; thelowestpricelist.com. Good Luck!
