In our area you can have your utility company come out and they will recommend the correct size unit for your home. We did this just to have a "comparison" size, etc. and it worked out very well. Too small a unit and it won't do the job but too large a unit really won't work overall.

We have the Garmen nuvi 660 and LOVE IT. It came with everything except a case. I went to Walmart and purchased a Samonite case that everything fits in perfectly and I do believe it was around $15.

I had a problem where an item was paid for via PayPal and not received. Buy.com only wouyld say "they would refer this to their PayPal dept" - which never happened. Filed a claim with PayPal and received my money back within about 7 days. NEVER will use Buy.com again cause I've read way too much bad to overcome any good.

In fact, a lot pay nothing if they click through IRS plus TaxSlayer charges nothing for active duty military, including those having to file more than one state return.

Might want to check out TaxSlayer.com and the price is certainly right. Have used them several years and know a lot of people who, once they tried them, keep going back year after year.

Several years ago we got all 5 of the grands a computer desk. After all but the oldest went to bed, 2 grandfathers and the oldest grandboy put all of them together. Good part - they had no left over items and those desks are going strong today.

It's been years since I was doing a lot of buying on eBay. I agree, it can be a problem but I only had one problem and that was some small items getting shipped.

Warehouse sale from Dept 56 - I've never seen anything about one. So many of the shops who used to carry various - or all - of the villages are long gone. A lot of the buildings can be bought in very good shape for around 15% of the SRP. Dept 56 villages can be found on eBay plus google them. I quit buying several years ago bt can tell you to be VERY CAREFUL in reading descriptions of buildings, etc. New in box may mean one thing to you, but a very different thing to the seller. You can see a small part of my village when I last had it set up. It's Christmas In The City and I called it Village of Johns Depot. I'd give it a try. In the past I've seen where a bag was left and the cashier sent (or took themself) it to Customer Service.

Bread - a dang loaf of white bread for the breakfast casserole. Of all things to forget so at 8:30 tonight, on the way to a friends home for hot chocolate and pound cake, we had to make a stop at a convience store for a loaf of bread. Now batteries we did not forget. I even thought to tape them inside the open faced boxes of the toys that needed them.

Same thing happened to me. The store has no record. Seems the "order" never actually went through as we should have received an email concerning it. The items I ordered that were to be shipped will be here on the 29th. That doesn't bother me as it's not a gift.

Seems to me that Dell has really dropped the ball this selling season and people will remember that in the future. Worse part, you don't get a ship date until AFTER you place the order. As long as it's shipped on that date there shouldn't be a problem, but when they wait until that date and send an email giving a later date that is just plain lousy management.

I got this one for $503 and it had better specs than the ones lower priced on the outlet. I agree, order from outlet and it's here in just a couple of days with regular shipping.

My son and I went to the FedEx terminal - which just happens to be in our little town - the day I got the shipping tracking number and asked them to hold. They made a copy and wrote in huge lettes HOLD AT TERMINAL. Said the driver would get the note and not load it. NOW, they did NOT hold it at the terminal but put it on the truck for delivery today. I went on-line this morning and saw where it was at the terminal. Checked a while ago and it said on truck for delivery. My son went to the terminal and he is now sitting at a business waiting for the delivery truck to arrive where he will pick it up. Worse part, son was sitting with husband eating and said he had to go somewhere and would be back in a few. LOL At least we are still managing to keep this a true surprise for Christmas. Son just called and said he has the package. Happy camper now.

Just checked and the laptop is at our local facility as of about 1 hour ago. YEPPEE! Ordered on the 1st and received on the 22nd. Never again will I order from Dell if it's for a set date. Just can't believe how awful the shipping has been for so many people, with some now knowing they will not receive their package until after Christmas - even though it was ordered either on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Good news is I've managed to keep this from DH so it will really surprise him on Christmas Day. Will go to terminal and pick it up today when he is not with me.

Well, just got the "shipped" message with estimated receive date of 12/22. At this time the shipper and tracking number are not available. YIKES! I can only hope shipper and number are available early today so I can make arrangements for them to NOT deliver to the house. I'll go pick up as FedEx and UPS are only about a 10 minute drive from me.

Mine in Midnight Blue was ordered Dec 1 and still has not shipped. At the same time I'm very happy for you that yours arrived. Maybe, just maybe, mine will actually arrive before Christmas. At least we are not going out of town this year.

That Midnight Blue was what showed on the Cyber Monday sale. Of course, you could choose another color but if Midnight Blue was going to delay orders why the heck even default to that color. Meanwhile I still see the December 9 shipping date. Read where another poster said the "hard to understand" and believe me, I wanted to talk to someone here in the US and got exactly nowhere. Now we've ordered two other Dell laptops, mine last year and our son's this year, with both arriving within days. Ordered a Dell outlet monitor for my desktop and received it like 2 or 3 days later and it's been perfect ever since. I'm just disappointed that Dell elected to highlight a color that seems to be holding up shipping. Even worse, AFTER the email stating the 19th shipping date Dell was advertising Midnight Blue 1525 computers with different specs so wonder if those people will even receive them this month, let alone in time for Christmas. Just checked the order number and it shows "In Production" with ship date of 12/19 and estimated delivery date of 12/23. Ship on a Friday and then they actually have 4 days to make that 2 day delivery.

I feel for you far more than your realize. Hope you are well on the road to recovery. Just remember, those cookies will be waiting for you when you get home - at least if DH doesn't give in and open those packages.
