DD10 gets a child off the Angel Tree every year.. It really hit home with her when she saw what a 6yr old little girl was asking for.. A winter coat, slippers and socks(not one toy).. Now she asks every year if we can do it again so we get the angel and the Saturday after BF we take her to Target and WM to pick stuff so she gets the most out of the budget we set for her...

I sat in line(15th in line) for the $198 e-machine laptop to have the line moved but they kept us all in order.. Our store sent someone to do a head count they had 68 of the laptops and only 45 people in line... When they brought out the pallet it had 44 laptops and a pallet was missing... They then brought out 9 compaq laptops and was going to give the better laptop to the people at the end of the line till all of the people at the front started screaming that the ones who had been in that line for hours should get the better laptops so the manager was called and he agreed with all of us in line and then they brought over about 10 of the $298 hp laptops from the bf ad and gave us all tickets with the price over ride.. I got the hp for $198

I got my toy book and a friend gave me theirs and both had the Free $10 with a $75 purchase and a $10 off coupon a $100 purchase... Now I did find one thing that was messed up... In one toy book the sing-a-ma-jigs were $9.49 and in the other they are $7.49

Sugar Cookies Oven: 375 degrees 1 1/4 cup sugar 2/3 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla ( I always used Lemon extract instead) 3 cups flour 2 teaspoon baking power 1 teaspoon salt Cream sugar, shortening, eggs, milk and vanilla together. Combine flour, baking power and salt, blend into cream mixture. Roll 1 1/8 inch thick on floured board, cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, bake for 8-10 minutes. Either sprinkle with sugar or frost.

Thankfully DD10 is all girl and she has new clothes and shoes at the top of her list and if the 3d ds isnt out by Christmas for Santa to bring her then she plans on asking for a laptop and that is the end of her list.. Hopefully she will ad a few ds or wii games

Amazon Kindle has dropped in price by $70 from $259 to $189.. I ordered last week for fathers day and just called and they issued a refund for the $70 :)
