Just curious, how much do they usually go for?

Thanks for the info. Why wouldn't they put it in the ad? It seems counterproductive to not advertise something meant to get people in the door. I also read on the "bring back jcp snowglobes" Facebook page that JCP Facebook confirmed snowglobes. So who knows. I won't be there on Thanksgiving regardless. ETA. I find that they run their typical promos, but BF has the advantage of using multiple coupons in one transaction.

I think they also post the coupons on their website too. Coupons.target.com

We tried this last year and it worked great. One bad thing is that it does not include the chat.

Definitely look for the Joann's ad if you have one near you. They have dress forms on sale every year. You can look at last year's ad to get a price idea to determine if you can find it cheaper prior using coupons.

Perhaps you can have one or a couple people pull the questions from the chat and send it through the website to Dev. I listen though an app on the roku, so I don't get to see the chat. Also, I think it may help with questions getting lost.

Lowes is pretty quiet. The stuff in the ad tend to be in different locations in the main aisles, but ask someone and they can point you in the right direction. I can always walk right up to a register to check out.

I have seen them at Target and Amazon. Amazon prices tend to be about 30% off the list price for the few items I checked for.

The snowglobes do not start until 4am. I'm happy about that as I'm not shopping in stores on Thanksgiving

Hmm I wonder if Amazon will match the Kindle Fire price. I would fully expect cancellations later if ordering from staples.com. In my experiences with their website in the past (non-Black Friday), the inventory does not update very accurately or quickly. They have recently updated their website, so maybe that has been fixed.

I think I saw on the home page that they open at 6a, but they actually open at 7am. The online Thanksgiving sale starts at 6am on Thursday. From the link above: "The in-store Black Friday sale starts on Friday, Nov. 29 when most stores will open at 7 a.m. across the United States."

My cashier said they are opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the heads up. I doubt they will do the pins again since the snow globes are back. I did well last year with the $10 and $5 coupons, but my dh never got one winner.

Looks like Target is going to open on Thursday like everyone else. Sorry I probably should have added that the blue laws would be the only way they will change unless people refuse to patronize the stores (which they won't).

I don't like the early times and as a result won't be going to a lot of these stores. Realistically the stores aren't going to change if it is still profitable. People still go at 8pm on Thanksgiving, so it isn't going to change.

Wow did you see the "1 hour guarantee"? The 3 items are guaranteed to be there for an hour and if not you get a guarantee card the ensures you get the item via ship to store before Christmas. How big of a cluster will Walmart make this?

I used to fly home early Thanksgiving morning, so I would get a paper at the airport on the other side of security. Then I would have the entire flight to look at all the ads :)
