  1. This is a coupon right? I better stop in this weekend to get mine.
  2. The regular 2% all purchases is quarterly. "Bonus rewards" are applied within days. For example the paper, photo printer, and batteries are marked as "Bonus rewards".
  3. Bonus rewards are paid fairly quickly, usually less than a week. I will have to look as I last got them in the summer. Rewards do not "roll". Edited: I looked and I got my bonus rewards in 2 days.
  4. Joann's Fabrics usually has a similar item. Worth checking them out now (usually Veteran's Day sales at Joann's are comparable to BF for some items).
  5. I think more and more this will happen. I don't see Kohls doing it since they have stores open for 24 hours a day leading up to Christmas, but BB already does the close and reopen.
  6. Disappointed in the closure midnight to 6am, as I usually shop around 4am (not a thanksgiving shopper here), but I get why they did it. They were usually dead during that time. Only a few things I am interested in. I see the kids leggings for $3, but I am thinking I will be able to get them that price leading up to BF. I thought in years past they have done a cartwheel or sale on all clothing.
  7. I make this French toast for Christmas breakfast every year. It is easy to prepare the night before and can be baking while opening presents. I use french bread and dark brown sugar. https://www.tablespoon.com/recipes/overnight-french-toast/dc9d4207-98ec-4858-b1d1-93a53c6b1a27 Overnight French Toast Ingredients 1/4cup (half a stick) butter, melted SAVE $3/4cup packed light brown sugar SAVE $1loaf brioche or challah, cut into 1 1/2-inch slices8eggs, slightly beaten SAVE $1cup whole milk SAVE $1tablespoon vanilla extract1teaspoon ground cinnamon SAVE $1/4teaspoon ground ginger1/2cup pecans, chopped1/8teaspoon salt Maple syrup and powdered sugar for topping (optional) SAVE $Get IngredientsPowered by Chicory Steps1In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and melted butter and pour on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. If top starts browning too quickly, loosely cover with foil for the last 10 minutes or so to keep the casserole from drying out.6Remove casserole from oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  8. 1010/17 Harbor Freight Edit on 9/16/17: The slash was dropped for some reason. It is 10/10/17 as my guess.
  9. I'm so glad it worked out! I think those women are the ones who are rude and ignorant. I teach my daughters that dogs who are wearing a vest or police dogs etc. are "working dogs". We can observe them, but they are not for petting. They are doing a job and should not be distracted. I've seen some service dogs with a "Don't flirt with me, I'm working" patch on their vest. It is a cute way to inform people to back off. You are doing a great job advocating for your daughter, Illinoismom!
  10. Just wanted to share my recent experience. I placed an online order and had it set for store pickup. I used Kohls cash. I didn't make it to the store before it was returned (one week I believe). It was automatically returned, and I received an email with the value in kohls cash with a new expiration date.
  11. You should consider rechargeable batteries. That is what we have switched to, especially with all our kids' toys. It is an up front cost, but if you were already considering spending 35$, this likely isn't an issue.
  12. This is how they have done it the past couple of years. If I recall correctly, they started their sale on Tuesday 2 years ago. That just made it exhausting with all week shopping at different stores, instead of a compressed Friday morning shopping spree. Some specific designs will be gone come Friday, but there will still be a large selection.
  13. They are open on Wednesday at 6am with the Friday doorbusters. The coupon (not valid on doorbusters) is good only on Friday morning. The complete ad is up online. http://www.joann.com/black-friday-ad/#holidayInspiration/page1
  14. After looking closer at the ad, I am thinking that this isn't all of it. This is likely the newspaper ad, but typically the booklet that is mailed out has more non-doorbuster stuff that is on sale (and thus coupon eligible). We should be seeing that hit mailboxes in the coming days.
  15. They usually have 10 yard bolts to purchase although I recall them doing it with the flannel, not the fleece. In the past they have had 2 (or was it 3?) yard cuts ready to go, but that is not what they would call a "bolt". You can try calling to find out if they will have smaller premeasured cuts.
  16. There are decent deals on Melissa and Doug toys. The Janome sewing machine looks good for a crafty kid.
  17. I was able to check on a computer and it works there!
  18. Got an email about BF deals today with a link to preview the ad. I can only see part of the first page (mobile right now), so not sure if that is all that is viewable right now. Kohls.shoplocal.com
  19. The stores around here have a number system at the cutting counter. Evaluate before you grab a number, but I get one before I get my fabric. If you want fleece, sometimes they have a bin of 2 yard pre-cut pieces so you can skip the cutting counter all together. If you have a buddy, have him/her stand in the checkout line while you get fabric cut. I typically shop right at opening, so I don't know how the crowd thins later. They do usually have a multi day sale, so if the fabric you want is part of it, going Tuesday or Wednesday before TG may be better (they were still busy on the Tuesday I went to one year).
  20. You can get more spots. Check the badges for easy tasks to open more spots. Some may be very easy and doable right now, while others may require you to be in the store/purchase something.
  21. Sounds like you are looking for a convertible seat. Not sure how the deals are for BF but watch for gift card deals. Like last week Target was offering a $40 giftcard with a $200 baby purchase.
  22. Great ideas! This is pre-k, so when I asked my daughter what we should get the teachers, I got a list of things she would like lol. I think your ideas will be useful!
  23. This is my first year with a kid in school. What are some good ideas for gifts for teachers that I don't really know any specific likes/dislikes? I know I can get candy nearly free with CVS ecb deals around BF, but I am guessing they get a lot of sweets around that time of year.
  24. If my memory serves correct, Joann's sales ad usually hits mailboxes 10 days before BF. I think last year the leak was about 20 days out though. If you sign up for their mailing list now, you should be in time to receive your own ad booklet with coupons for Black Friday. Also, use prior years ads (on this site) as an idea of what is on sale and the prices. There isn't too much variation year to year. That way you may be able to find a better deal with sales/ coupons before BF.
